Description

The present invention relates to an apparatus for adjusting a curved mirror.

From the past, image light from the image adjusting element is incident on the imaging optical system composed of refractive optical elements, and the light emitted from the imaging optical system is reflected by the reflecting surface of the curved mirror to form an image on the projection surface. Projection optical systems for enlarging and projecting light have been known. In the wide-angle projection optical system having such a configuration, the position and angle of the reflecting surface of the curved mirror greatly affects the quality of the projected image projected on the projection surface. Therefore, a mechanism for adjusting the angle and position of the curved mirror has been strongly demanded.
For example, there is a floating mechanism that supports a three-point support so that the outer peripheral surface and the back surface of the curved mirror outside the reflecting surface can be adjusted by a holding member of the curved mirror (see Patent Document 1). In this floating mechanism, the inclination of the reflecting surface can be finely adjusted by independently adjusting the three points that support the curved mirror.

As another mechanism, the curved mirror is held by the first holding member, the first holding member is held by the second holding member, and the curved mirror is perpendicular to the optical axis with respect to the first holding member. By rotating the first holding member with respect to the second holding member about the optical axis and the second axis orthogonal to the first axis as the rotation axis. There is a mechanism for finely adjusting (see Patent Document 2). With this configuration of the mechanism, the angle adjustment by each rotation axis can be independently adjusted, and the angle adjustment of the curved mirror can be easily performed as compared with the floating mechanism.

特開2002−228905号公報JP 2002-228905 A 特開2011−59459号公報JP 2011-59459 A

However, in the case of the floating mechanism of Patent Document 1, adjusting one of the three points results in an influence on the posture of the curved mirror adjusted by the remaining two points. It is necessary to re-prepare the points many times. In addition, with floating support, only the angle of the reflecting surface can be adjusted, and the reflecting surface cannot be moved in parallel.

In the configuration of Patent Document 2, the angle of the curved mirror (tilt adjustment) can be adjusted, but the position of the curved mirror with respect to the imaging optical system cannot be adjusted (shift adjustment). The optical performance degradation could not be corrected.

Furthermore, in recent years, projection onto a larger projection surface is required, and in order to project a clear image, it is required to use a light source (high brightness light source) having a higher lumen number.
However, in high-intensity light sources, heat generation due to light absorption, etc., and fluctuations in the shape and performance of the optical element due to heat from the light source itself cannot be ignored. Has a tendency to become significant.

In order to solve such a problem, it is sufficient to use a material having a small coefficient of thermal expansion as the material of the curved mirror, but it is not easy to process as compared with plastic, and the curved mirror itself is not related to protrusions or grooves. It is difficult to form a joint portion and attach it to the projection optical system, and in Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2, plastic is used for the glass material.
Moreover, when a glass substrate is used for a curved mirror incorporated in a projection optical system, there has been no disclosure in the past of an adjustment mechanism and an adjustment method capable of adjusting the position and angle so fine that it can withstand actual use.

The object of the present invention is to adjust the angle and position of the reflecting surface independently in a curved mirror adjustment device even when glass having a low coefficient of thermal linear expansion is used as the base of the curved mirror.
"Assumptions"
First, image light from the image adjustment element is incident on an image forming optical system composed of a refractive optical element, and a light beam emitted from the image forming optical system is reflected by the reflecting surface of the curved mirror α to the projection surface. In the projection optical system for enlarging and projecting image light, as shown in FIG. 1, the light beam of the imaging optical system is orthogonal to the Z axis and the Z axis in the plane where the locus of the light beam emitted from the image center of the image adjustment element exists. An axis to be defined is defined as a Y-axis, an axis orthogonal to the Z-axis and the Y-axis is defined as an X-axis, and directions parallel to the respective axes are defined as a Z-axis direction, a Y-axis direction, and an X-axis direction, respectively.

When the projection optical system is installed on the ground such that the optical axis is parallel to the ground, the image adjustment element side is the front side and the projection surface side in the Z-axis direction along the optical axis of the first optical system. Is defined as the rear side, and in the X-axis direction, the left and right sides when viewed from the front side are defined as the left side and the right side, respectively, and the upper and lower sides when viewed from the front side in the Y-axis direction are respectively upward. The horizontal direction corresponds to the X-axis direction, the vertical direction corresponds to the Y-axis direction, and the front-rear direction corresponds to the Z-axis direction.

Hereinafter, the holding mechanism of the second optical system will be described.

"Curved mirror"
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the curved mirror α is a surface on the Z axis that is a mirror axis among the aspheric surfaces formed when a non-circular curve is rotated using the Z axis as a rotation axis. The optical axis of the imaging optical system and the mirror axis of the curved mirror α are coaxial.

The curved mirror α is composed of a base α1 made of glass having a small coefficient of thermal expansion and a curved reflecting surface α2 formed on the front surface of the base α1.
On the upper surface of the base α1 of the curved mirror α, a flat surface portion α3 orthogonal to the vertical direction is formed.
Side surfaces (lower side, left side, right side) other than the upper side form a continuous columnar side surface shape α4 that is circular when viewed from the front.
At the outer peripheral edge of the rear surface, there is formed a flat surface portion α5 whose side surface is released.
In addition, a flat surface portion α6 orthogonal to the optical axis is formed at the center upper end portion.

"Mirror fixing part"
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the mirror fixing frame 1 has a substantially semicircular shape along the outer shape of the curved mirror α, and the inside of the frame is hollow.
On the first axis that is parallel to the X axis of the outer peripheral surface of the mirror fixing frame 1 and substantially coincides with the X axis, a hole-like engagement portion 1a is formed at each of the left and right positions.

On the lower end side of the mirror fixing frame 1, a projection 1b whose axis is oriented in the Y-axis direction and orthogonal to the Z-axis is formed. The protrusion 1b has a hole 1c penetrating in the front-rear direction.
Further, a screw hole 1d whose axis is directed in the Y-axis direction is formed at a position on the upper end side of the mirror fixing frame 1 and deviated toward one end in the X direction.

In addition, an adjustment projection 1e whose axis is directed in the Y-axis direction is formed at each position offset toward one end and the other end in the X direction on the inner peripheral surface side on the upper end side of the mirror fixing frame 1.
Further, the inner peripheral surface of the mirror fixing frame 1 has a shape along the outer peripheral surface of the curved mirror α, and the inner diameter of the opening is formed by a rib 1f formed on the inner peripheral side at the rear end portion of the inner peripheral surface. And is formed on the back surface of the curved mirror α to be larger than the inner diameter of the flat surface portion α5 and smaller than the outer diameter of the curved mirror.
Further, a groove portion 1g having a substantially triangular cross section formed from the inner peripheral side toward the outer peripheral side is formed at the front end portion of the inner peripheral surface.

Therefore, the rear side of the curved mirror α is fitted into the inner peripheral part of the mirror fixing frame 1 from the front side, and the flat part α5 on the rear side of the curved mirror α and the rib 1f on the inner peripheral side of the mirror fixing frame 1 are engaged.
Further, a curved mirror adjustment screw (not shown) is inserted into the screw hole 1d, and the flat surface portion α3 above the curved mirror is urged by the tip portion of the curved mirror adjustment screw. The curved mirror adjustment screw is turned until it comes into contact with the adjustment protrusion 1e to adjust the positional relationship between the curved mirror α and the mirror fixing frame 1.
When the adjustment is completed, an elastic metal C-ring β is fitted in the groove 1g formed on the front side on the inner peripheral side of the mirror fixing frame 1, and the C-ring β elastically moves the curved mirror α from the front side to the rear side. The curved mirror α is fixed to the mirror fixing frame 1 by energizing.

"Mirror holding member"
The mirror holding member includes three members, that is, a first holding member 11, a second holding member 12, and a fixing member 21, and the first holding member performs a first angle adjustment with the mirror fixing frame 1 and the first holding member 11. 11 and the second holding member 12, the second angle adjustment and the first position adjustment are performed, and the second position adjustment is performed between the second holding member 12 and the fixing member 21.

"First holding member"
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the first holding member 11 is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the curved mirror α. The first holding member 11 is formed to be able to hold the mirror fixing frame 1 on the inner peripheral side.

As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the first holding member 11 is formed with a through hole 11 a penetrating in the left-right direction at a position corresponding to the engaging portion 1 a of the mirror fixing frame 1. In the left and right through holes 11a, engaged members 2 of shaft-shaped members whose axis centers are on the first axis parallel to the X axis are respectively fitted, and the engaged members 2 are attached by mounting screws γ. It is fixed to the first holding member 11. The engaging portion 1 a is engaged with the engaged member 2 and is held by the first holding member 11 so as to be rotatable about the first axis as a rotation axis.

A spring washer 3 is inserted between one mounting screw γ and the first holding member 11. With the spring washer 3, the mirror fixing frame 1 is pressed against the other of the first holding members 11 together with the one engaged member 2.

As shown in FIG. 7, the first holding member 11 is formed with a counterbore-shaped hole portion 11 c having a narrow front opening and a screw hole shape at a position corresponding to the protruding portion 1 b of the mirror fixing frame 1. . An adjustment screw 4 is inserted into the hole 1c of the mirror fixing frame 1 and the hole 11c of the first holding member 11 from the rear side, and is screwed into the screw hole of the hole 11c. A compression spring 5 is inserted into the hole 11c from the rear side.

Therefore, by adjusting the adjustment screw 4 in a state where the mirror fixing frame 1 is held with respect to the first holding member 11 via the engaged member 2, the mirror fixing frame 1 is fixed to the first holding member 11. A first angle adjustment mechanism A1 is configured to be rotatable about one axis (X) as a rotation axis. With this first angle adjustment mechanism A1, the angle adjustment and fixation of the reflecting surface of the curved mirror α can be performed via the mirror fixing frame 1.

Further, the first posture holding mechanism B1 is configured in which the spring washer 3 suppresses backlash in the X-axis direction.

Furthermore, one extending portion 11e is formed on each side surface of the first holding member 11 on the outer peripheral side in the left-right direction. The extended portion 11e is formed with an elongated hole portion 11f that penetrates in the vertical direction and has a larger diameter in the front-rear direction than in the left-right direction.
One extending portion 11g extending downward is formed at each rear end of the two extending portions 11e. The extending portion 11g is formed with a hole portion 11h penetrating in the Z-axis direction.

An adjustment hole 11 i is formed at the upper end of the first holding member 11. The central axis of the adjustment hole 11i is in the Y-axis direction perpendicular to the Z-axis, and the intersection of the central axis and the Z-axis is connected near the front surface of the curved mirror α.

"Second holding member"
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the second holding member 12 is disposed on the back side of the first holding member 11.
The second holding member 12 is formed on the inner peripheral side so as to be able to hold the first holding member 11 holding the curved mirror α via the mirror fixing portion 1.

The second holding member 12 has one fixing screw hole portion 12f on each of the left and right sides at a position corresponding to the hole portion 11f of the first holding member 11. The fixing screw hole portion 12f is formed at the axial center of the protruding portion 12e protruding on the end portion of the second holding member 12 in the Y-axis direction.
The movement of the first holding member 11 is restricted with respect to the second holding member 12 by inserting the fixing screw 13 into the hole portion 11f and screwing it into the fixing screw hole portion 12f.

When connecting with the fixing screw 13, the spring washer 14 and the flat washer 15 are first fitted into the fixing screw 13, and the flat washer 16 is sandwiched between the first holding member 11 and the second holding member 12. Then, the fixing screw 13 is screwed into the fixing screw hole 12f.

In the second holding member 12, one flat portion 12 h is formed on the left and right sides at a position corresponding to the hole portion 11 h of the first holding member 11.

As shown in FIG. 4, the adjustment screw 17 is inserted into the hole portion 11 h from the rear side, and the flat surface portion 12 h is urged by the tip of the adjustment screw 17.

Further, two adjustment jig fixing portions 12j are formed at the rear end portion of the second holding member 12 at a position closer to the optical axis of the curved mirror α than the flat portion 12h.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 4, the jig member 31 is fixed to the adjustment jig fixing portion 12j from the back by a pair of jig fixing screws 32, and the protrusion 31i formed on the jig member 31 is first held. By engaging with the adjustment hole 11i formed in the member 11, the first holding member 11 can rotate about the central axis parallel to the Y axis of the adjustment hole 11i as a rotation axis, and can move in parallel. Be regulated.

Therefore, a second angle adjusting mechanism A <b> 2 is configured to adjust the angle of the first holding member 11 with respect to the second holding member 12 with the second axis (Y) as the rotation center by the adjusting screw 17.

In addition, the second posture holding mechanism B2 that can hold the post-adjustment posture by adjusting the angle of the reflection surface of the curved mirror α and then tightening the fixing screw 13 is configured.

Here, the jig member 31 and the adjusting screw 17 may be removed after the first holding member 11 is completely adjusted with respect to the second holding member 12, or may be left as a reinforcing member.

Further, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the second holding member 12 has one left and one right in the front-rear direction, which are coaxial with the projecting portion 12e and spaced forward from the projecting portion 12e. The hole 12k is formed. The hole portion 12k has a long hole shape that penetrates in the vertical direction and has a larger diameter in the left-right direction than in the front-rear direction.

Further, the flat surface portion 12m in which the hole portion 12k of the second holding member 12 is formed has a flat surface portion 12n extending in the downward direction perpendicular to the edge portion spaced from the optical axis in the left-right direction. The planar portion 12n is formed with an adjusting screw hole portion 12p that is coaxial with the hole portion 12k in the left-right direction and penetrates in the left-right direction.

In this way, the curved mirror α, the mirror fixing frame 1, the first holding member 11, and the second holding member 12 that are fixedly held after adjusting the angle and position of the reflecting surface are combined to form a reflecting surface holding mechanism.

`` Fixing member ''
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a fixing member 21 is disposed on the lower surface side of the reflection surface holding mechanism.
The fixing member 21 is formed on the inner peripheral side so as to be able to hold the reflecting surface holding mechanism. The reflection surface holding mechanism is disposed at the rear end portion of the fixing member 21.

The fixing member 21 has a fixing engaging portion 21a for fixing to a lens barrel (not shown) containing an imaging optical system using a refractive optical element at the front end.
The fixing member 21 has a prism disposed on the inner side, has a first opening into which outgoing light emitted from a lens barrel disposed on the front end side is incident, and is disposed on the rear end side. A second opening for allowing the outgoing light emitted from the second passage to pass through.

The fixing member 21 is formed with one fixing screw hole portion 21k on the left and right sides at a position corresponding to the hole portion 12k of the second holding member 12. The fixing screw hole portion 21k is formed in the axial center of the protruding portion 21b protruding on the end portion of the fixing member 21.
The movement of the second holding member 12 is restricted with respect to the fixing member 21 by inserting the fixing screw 22 into the hole portion 12k and screwing it with the fixing screw hole portion 21k.

When connecting with the fixing screw 22, the spring washer 23 and the flat washer 24 are first fitted into the fixing screw 22, and the flat washer 25 is sandwiched between the second holding member 12 and the fixing member 21 and then fixed. The screw 22 is screwed into the fixing screw hole 21k.

The fixing member 21 has a wall portion 21p that is a wall surface and does not have a hole portion at a position corresponding to the adjustment screw hole portion 12p of the second holding member 12. When the adjustment screw 26 is screwed into the adjustment screw hole portion 21p, the adjustment screw 26 penetrates the adjustment screw hole portion 12p, and the tip portion presses the wall portion 21p of the fixing member 21.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 4, the first position adjusting mechanism C <b> 1 that adjusts the position of the reflecting surface by moving the second holding member 12 in the X-axis direction with respect to the fixing member 21 with the adjusting screw 26. Is configured.
Here, the adjustment screw 26 may be removed after the second holding member 12 is completely adjusted with respect to the fixing member 21, or may be left as a reinforcing member.

Further, as shown in FIG. 9, the third posture holding mechanism B3 is configured which can hold the adjusted posture by tightening the fixing screw 22 after the position of the reflecting surface is determined. .

As described above, in the embodiment, the apparatus for adjusting the curved mirror α includes the first angle adjustment mechanism A1 having the first axis (X) as the rotation center and the second angle adjustment having the second axis (Y) as the rotation center. A mechanism A2, a first posture holding mechanism B1, a second posture holding mechanism B2, a third posture holding mechanism B3, and a first position adjusting mechanism C1 in the first axis (X) direction are provided.

As described above, according to the adjustment device for the curved mirror α of the embodiment, the first angle adjustment mechanism A1, the second angle adjustment mechanism A2, the first attitude holding mechanism B1, the second attitude holding mechanism B2, the third attitude holding mechanism B3, Since the first position adjustment mechanism C1 is provided independently of each other, the angle, posture, and position of the reflecting surface can be independently adjusted, and can be easily adjusted with higher accuracy.

Moreover, even if the curved mirror α using glass having a small coefficient of thermal expansion is used for the base α1 that forms the reflecting surface, the angle and the position can be independently adjusted, and adjustment with higher accuracy becomes easier.

(Production method of curved mirror)
A glass molded product having a rotationally symmetric aspheric surface is formed by molding,
A glass molded product is cut in a plane parallel to the symmetry axis of the rotationally symmetric aspheric surface and passing through the symmetry axis,
From each of the two hemispherical glass molded products, a region of a rotationally symmetric aspheric surface on the peripheral side from the cut surface is cut out one by one to form a concave reflecting surface α2 by a curved surface,
A part of the glass molded product having the concave reflecting surface α2 due to the curved surface is defined as a curved mirror α.
As described above, it is possible to create two curved mirrors α from one molded product.

(Modification)
In the embodiment, the base α1 of the curved mirror α is made of glass. However, the material is not limited to this, and may be either a metal having a low coefficient of thermal linear expansion or ceramic.

In addition, the washer 16 between the first holding member 11 and the second holding member 12 and / or the flat washer 25 between the second holding member 12 and the fixing member 21 changes the thickness of the washer and the number of sandwiched pieces. Thus, it is possible to provide a function as a second position adjusting mechanism capable of adjusting the position of the reflecting surface in the vertical direction.

At that time, since there are two height adjustment mechanisms on the same axis in the X-axis direction and spaced apart in the left-right direction, the number and thickness of washers sandwiched between the two can be made different from those of the other. It is also possible to rotate the reflecting surface about the axis.

Further, a washer is inserted between the second holding member 12 and the jig member 31 via the jig fixing screw 32, and the protrusion 31 i formed on the jig member 31 in this state is formed on the first holding member 11. When engaging the adjustment hole 11i, the first holding member 11 is moved to the back side with respect to the second holding member 12 by the thickness of the washer, thereby adjusting the position of the reflective surface in the front-rear direction. It is also possible to provide a function as a third position adjustment mechanism capable of performing the above.

(Other variations)
In the above embodiment, the axis orthogonal to the optical axis is the first axis, the axis orthogonal to the optical axis, and the axis orthogonal to the first axis is the second axis. An axis parallel to the axis to be aligned may be a first axis, an axis orthogonal to the optical axis and an axis parallel to the axis orthogonal to the first axis may be the second axis.
Furthermore, it is needless to say that other specific detailed structures can be appropriately changed.
