Description

The present invention relates to a defect inspection apparatus that automatically inspects for the presence or absence of defects in a sheet-like member such as a positive electrode sheet or a negative electrode sheet of a lithium ion battery.

A lithium ion secondary battery is a secondary battery that charges and discharges by moving lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes. Because of its high energy density, it can also be used as a power source for portable information terminals such as laptop computers and mobile phones. It is rapidly spreading as a battery for electric cars and hybrid cars.

The lithium ion secondary battery has a structure in which a laminate formed by alternately stacking positive electrode sheets and negative electrode sheets with separator layers enclosed in an outer package together with an electrolyte. Each of the positive electrode sheet and the negative electrode sheet (hereinafter referred to as an electrode sheet) is a paste-like electrode material containing a powder of an electrode active material and a binder on an electrode foil (aluminum foil (positive electrode) and copper foil (negative electrode)). After coating and drying, it is manufactured by slitting into a predetermined shape (Patent Document 1).

If the thickness of the electrode material applied to the electrode sheet is not uniform, or there are defects such as bubbles or cracks in the electrode material, or foreign matter is mixed, a lithium ion secondary battery with the expected performance can be obtained. I can't. In view of this, before the electrode sheets are stacked, the presence or absence of defects in the electrode sheet is inspected in advance in a single wafer state to prevent the defective electrode sheet from being used as a material for a lithium ion secondary battery.
The defect inspection of the electrode sheet is performed by the following procedure, for example.

First, the surface of the electrode sheet is irradiated with light, the surface at that time is photographed with a CCD camera, displayed on a monitor screen, and the intensity of reflected light at each point on the surface of the electrode sheet is obtained. Then, mark a spot on the captured image of the CCD camera displayed on the monitor screen with a spot where the intensity of reflected light is large or small as compared to a predetermined reference value as a spot where there is a possibility of a defect (defect candidate spot). wear. The process up to here is performed by a defect inspection apparatus including an illumination device, a CCD camera, a reflected light intensity detection unit, a monitor, and the like. Thereafter, the inspector finds a position on the electrode sheet corresponding to the mark from the position of the mark on the captured image on the monitor screen, and visually inspects the position to determine whether it is a true defect. .

Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2014-82182

In an electrode sheet defect inspection apparatus, in order to avoid overlooking a defect, a criterion for determining a defect candidate location based on reflected light intensity is strictly set. Therefore, a normal part is often determined as a defect candidate part, and discarding an electrode sheet in which a defect candidate part is found without undergoing visual inspection by an inspector leads to a decrease in yield.

Visual inspection by an inspector is important in order to avoid such a situation, but some defects are very small. Compare the image displayed on the monitor screen with the electrode sheet, It takes time to find a defect candidate location on the electrode sheet corresponding to the position of the displayed mark. In particular, in the case of an electrode sheet used for a large-sized lithium ion secondary battery such as a vehicle-mounted lithium ion secondary battery, it has been difficult to accurately find a defect candidate portion in a short time.

Here, the defect inspection of the electrode sheet has been described as an example, but a glass plate, a plastic plate, a plastic film, or the like used for a display panel of a liquid crystal television, a plasma television, a personal computer, a portable information terminal, etc. The same applies to the defect inspection of the sheet-like member.

The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a defect inspection apparatus capable of finding a defect candidate portion of a sheet-like member of a single sheet accurately and in a short time.

The present invention made to solve the above problems is a defect inspection apparatus for inspecting defects on the surface of a sheet-like member of a single wafer,
a) an imaging region and a visual inspection region, a conveyance path for conveying the sheet-like member from the imaging region to the visual inspection region;
b) a photographing unit that photographs the sheet-like member located in the photographing region, which is disposed above the photographing region;
c) a defect candidate detection unit that detects a defect candidate of the sheet-like member by analyzing an image captured by the imaging unit, and identifies a position of the defect candidate;
d) a defect data storage unit for storing position data of defect candidates based on the result detected by the defect candidate detection unit;
e) A defect mark indicating the presence of a defect candidate corresponding to the position of the defect candidate based on the position data of the defect candidate stored in the defect data storage unit for the sheet-like member located in the visual inspection area And a projection unit for projecting an image.

In the defect inspection apparatus, when a sheet-like member in the photographing region is photographed by the photographing unit and a defect candidate is detected from the photographed image, the defect candidate is detected for the sheet-like member in the visual inspection region. A defect mark image is projected onto the position of the sheet-like member corresponding to the position.

In the above configuration, the defect data storage unit stores image data including the defect candidate detected by the defect candidate detection unit, and the projection unit projects an enlarged image of the defect candidate as the defect landmark image. It is preferable. With this configuration, even a small defect can be easily visually confirmed. When an enlarged image of a defect candidate is projected onto a sheet-like member, it may be projected on an actual defect candidate, but may be projected at a position slightly deviated from the position of the defect candidate. If the projection is performed at a slightly shifted position, the defect landmark image does not get in the way when the defect candidate is viewed.

Further, the defect data storage unit stores image data including defect candidates detected by the defect candidate detection unit,
The projection unit may project a graphic image having a shape surrounding the defect candidate as the defect mark image. In this configuration, defect candidates can be easily found, and the defect landmark image does not get in the way.

According to the defect inspection apparatus of the present invention, since the defect mark image is directly projected onto the sheet-like member of the single wafer, the defect candidate can be searched for accurately and in a short time.

Schematic which shows the whole structure of the defect inspection apparatus which concerns on one Embodiment of this invention. The functional block diagram of a defect inspection apparatus. The example which displayed the defect landmark image with respect to the electrode sheet in a visual inspection area | region is shown, (a) is the example which displayed the figure of the shape surrounding a defect candidate, (b) is the example which displayed the enlarged image of the defect candidate.

Hereinafter, specific embodiments of a defect inspection apparatus according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Here, an electrode sheet used for a negative electrode or a positive electrode of a lithium ion secondary battery will be described as an example of the sheet-like member of a single wafer.

FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of the overall configuration of the defect inspection apparatus 100, and FIG. 2 is a functional block diagram of the defect inspection apparatus 100. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the defect inspection apparatus 100 has an imaging region and a visual inspection region, and a conveyance path 10 for conveying the electrode sheet 1 to the imaging region and the visual inspection region, and a conveyance path 10. An image capturing unit 20 and a projection unit 30 disposed above the image capturing unit, a monitor 40 that displays an image captured by the image capturing unit 20, and a defect candidate detection unit that detects a defect candidate of the electrode sheet 1 by analyzing the image. 50 and a control unit 60.

The conveyance path 10 includes two conveyance rollers 11 and 12, a conveyor belt 13 spanned between the conveyance rollers 11 and 12, and a conveyance motor 14 that drives the conveyance roller 12 on the right side of the drawing. . When the conveying roller 12 is rotated in the direction indicated by the arrow A by the conveying motor 14, the electrode sheet 1 placed on the conveyor belt 13 positioned above the conveying rollers 11, 12 is conveyed in the arrow B direction. The

A manufacturing apparatus 200 for the electrode sheet 1 is disposed on the upstream side of the conveyance path 10. The electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus 200 discharges one electrode sheet 1 onto the conveyor belt 13 at regular time intervals. The conveyance motor 14 is connected to the control unit 60, and the control unit 60 rotates the conveyance motor 14 for a predetermined time in accordance with the timing when the electrode sheet is discharged from the electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus 200. Thereby, the electrode sheet 1 discharged from the electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus 200 is moved to the imaging region, and the electrode sheet 1 in the imaging region is moved to the visual inspection region. Therefore, in this embodiment, the position where the electrode sheet is discharged from the electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus 200 and the imaging region, and the interval between the imaging region and the visual inspection region are set to the same length.

The imaging unit 20 moves the camera 21 and the illumination device 22 in the width direction of the conveyor belt 13, the camera 21 disposed above the imaging region of the conveyance path 10, the illumination device 22 that irradiates the imaging region of the camera 21. And a moving mechanism 23 to be moved. The camera 21 includes a line sensor including a plurality of imaging elements (for example, a CCD imaging sensor element and a CMOS imaging element) arranged in a line in the moving direction of the conveyor belt 13. The captured image of the camera 21 is input to the control unit 60, and the moving mechanism 23 includes a rail 231 extending in the width direction of the conveyor belt 13, and the camera 21 and the illumination device 22 movably attached to the rail 231. And a motor (camera motor 233) for moving the holder 232 along the rail 231.

The projection unit 30 includes a projector 31 whose projection range is the entire visual inspection area. The projector 31 is connected to the control unit 60 and projects the defect mark image created by the control unit 60 onto the electrode sheet 1 arranged in the visual inspection area.

The defect candidate detection unit 50 receives the image data sent from the imaging unit 20 to the control unit 60, and applies image processing such as binarization and comparison operation to the image data to detect defect candidates ( Detecting foreign matter, coating irregularities, bubbles, dirt, pinholes and other defects).

The control unit 60 controls the photographing control unit 61 that controls the camera 21 and the illumination device 22, the projection control unit 62 that controls the projector 31, the movement control unit 63 that controls the camera motor 233, and the conveyance motor 14. A conveyance control unit 64 that performs the image generation unit 65 that generates a defect landmark image, a position calculation unit 66 that calculates a coordinate position of a portion determined as a defect candidate by the defect candidate detection unit 50, and a defect candidate detection unit 50. A storage unit 67 is provided for storing image data of detected defect candidates, coordinate position data of defect candidates, data of defect landmark images created by the image creation unit 65, and the like.

The coordinate position of the defect candidate is represented by an XY coordinate system set in the imaging region. For example, in the case of an XY coordinate system in which the width direction of the conveyor belt 13 is an X coordinate axis and the transport direction is a Y coordinate axis, the Y coordinate values of a plurality of image sensors provided in the camera 21 are fixed values. A value is calculated.

The actual condition of the defect candidate detection unit 50 and the control unit 60 is a general-purpose computer (PC) 110, which is a large-capacity storage composed of a central processing unit (CPU), a memory, a hard disk drive (HDD), a solid state drive (SSD) and the like. Including devices. The large-capacity storage device stores in advance a photographing vertical width and a photographing horizontal width, which are photographing ranges of the photographing device. Connected to the PC 110 are a liquid crystal display or the like, a monitor 40 for displaying various information, and a mouse or keyboard, and an input unit 41 for a user to input various commands. The defect candidate detection unit 50 and the control unit 60 are functional means realized by software by executing a program installed in the PC 110.

In the defect inspection apparatus 100, when the electrode sheet 1 is discharged from the electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus 200, the conveyance motor 14 is driven, and the electrode sheet 1 discharged from the electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus 200 is in the shooting area and in the shooting area. A certain electrode sheet 1 is moved to the visual inspection area. When the electrode sheet 1 is moved to the imaging region, the entire upper surface of the electrode sheet 1 is imaged by the imaging unit 20 (camera 21), and the image is sent to the control unit 60. The image is processed by the defect candidate detection unit 50. When a defect candidate is detected, the position of the defect candidate is calculated by the position calculation unit 66, and a defect landmark image is created by the image creation unit 65. Data and position data are stored in the storage unit 67.

On the other hand, when the electrode sheet 1 is moved to the visual inspection area, the projection unit 30 is positioned at a position corresponding to the position of the defect candidate on the electrode sheet 1 based on the defect landmark image data and position data stored in the storage unit 67. A defect landmark image is projected.
FIG. 3A shows an example in which a graphic image P1 having a shape surrounding a defect candidate is projected as a defect landmark image, and FIG. 3B shows an example in which an enlarged image P2 of the defect candidate is projected as a defect landmark image in the vicinity of the defect location. .

Thus, in this embodiment, since the defect mark image was projected on the upper surface of the electrode sheet 1, the inspector can easily find the position of the defect candidate in a short time using the defect mark image as a clue.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and appropriate modifications can be made. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the photographing unit 20 is configured by a line sensor and a moving mechanism, and photographing is performed with the electrode sheet 1 stopped. However, the photographing may be performed with the line sensor while moving the electrode sheet 1. . In this configuration, the moving mechanism of the line sensor can be omitted.

Further, the imaging unit 20 may be configured from an area sensor capable of imaging the entire upper surface of the sheet-like member at once instead of the line sensor.

Furthermore, when the defect landmark image is a graphic image having a shape surrounding the defect candidate, it may be a graphic image having a different color or a different shape for each type of defect. According to this configuration, since the inspector can search for defect candidates after recognizing the type of defect, it is easy to determine whether or not the defect candidate is a true defect.
The defect mark image may be a common mark regardless of the type and shape of the defect candidate. In this case, since it is not necessary to create a defect landmark image each time according to the defect candidate image, it is not necessary to store the defect candidate image data in the defect data storage unit.
