Claims (12)
- 複数の気筒と、
前記複数の気筒ごとに設けられ、前記気筒の燃焼室に燃料を直接的に噴射する複数の燃料噴射装置と、
前記複数の燃料噴射装置に接続され、前記複数の燃料噴射装置に燃料を供給する燃料供給管と、
前記燃料供給管に燃料を供給する燃料ポンプと、
前記燃料ポンプを制御する制御部と、
を備え、
前記燃料ポンプは、
吸入口と加圧室と吐出口とを含むポンプ本体と、
前記加圧室内の圧力を変動させるプランジャと、
前記吸入口と前記加圧室との間の通路を開閉する電磁バルブと、
前記加圧室から前記吐出口に向かう方向への燃料の流出を許容するワンウェイバルブと、
前記プランジャを駆動する複数のカム山を含み、前記カム山は周方向に等間隔に配置されているカムと、
を有し、
前記複数の気筒の点火間隔は、不等間隔であり、
前記制御部は、前記複数の気筒の点火間隔のうち、少なくとも最も長い点火間隔において、前記プランジャによる前記加圧室内の加圧タイミングと前記電磁バルブが開いているタイミングとをオーバーラップさせる、
多気筒エンジン。 - 4つの前記気筒を有する第1バンクと、
4つの前記気筒を有し、前記第1バンクとV字型に並んで配置される第2バンクと、
を備える請求項1に記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 8つの前記気筒の点火間隔は90度間隔である、
請求項2に記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 前記第1バンクにおける気筒の点火順序は、270度、180度、90度の順であり、
前記第2バンクにおける気筒の点火順序は、270度、180度、90度の順であり、
前記制御部は、少なくとも前記270度の点火間隔において、前記プランジャによる前記加圧室内の加圧タイミングと前記電磁バルブが開いているタイミングとをオーバーラップさせる、
請求項3に記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 前記燃料供給管は、
前記第1バンクの4つの気筒に接続される第1供給管と、
前記第2バンクの4つの気筒に接続される第2供給管と、
を含み、
前記燃料ポンプは、
前記第1供給管に接続される第1ポンプと、
前記第2供給管に接続される第2ポンプと、
を含む、
請求項3又は4に記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 前記第1供給管と前記第2供給管とは互いに接続されていない、
請求項5に記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 前記燃料ポンプは、リターンレス方式のポンプである、
請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 前記加圧タイミングと前記電磁バルブが開いているタイミングとのオーバーラップは、前記電磁バルブを閉じるための駆動パルスをリタードさせることによって行う、
請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 前記制御部は、前記最も長い点火間隔において、前記複数のカム山によるカムリフト量が最小となる時点よりも、前記駆動パルスの発生時点を遅らせる、
請求項8に記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 前記制御部は、前記最も長い点火間隔において、前記駆動パルスの発生間隔を、前記複数のカム山によるカムリフト量が最小となる時間間隔よりも長くする、
請求項8又は9に記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 前記制御部は、前記電磁バルブが開かれているタイミングを前記エンジンの回転速度に応じて変更する、
請求項1から10のいずれかに記載の多気筒エンジン。 - 請求項1から11のいずれかに記載の多気筒エンジンと、
前記エンジンによって駆動され、鉛直方向に延びるドライブシャフトと、
前記ドライブシャフトに接続され、前記ドライブシャフトと直交する方向に延びるプロペラシャフトと、
を備える船外機。
