Description

The present invention relates to an ultrasonic flaw detection method and apparatus for generating a cross-sectional image of a flaw detection material based on a flaw detection signal output from a one-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe and detecting a defect using the cross-sectional image. In particular, the present invention relates to an ultrasonic flaw detection method and apparatus capable of reducing the influence of a pixel region corresponding to a reverberation echo (ghost) that can occur in a cross-sectional image without causing a decrease in flaw detection speed.

Conventionally, ultrasonic flaw detection is performed by generating a cross-sectional image (such as an aperture composite image) of a material to be inspected based on a flaw detection signal output from a one-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe and detecting a defect using the cross-sectional image. Various methods have been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

Specifically, a conventional ultrasonic flaw detection method for detecting a defect by generating a cross-sectional image of a flaw detection material is executed, for example, according to the following procedures (1) to (5) (see FIG. 1). .
(1) A plurality of transducers 11 included in the one-dimensional array-type ultrasonic probe 1 (in FIG. 1, transducers with hatched hatching, outlined transducers, and transducers filled with black) Among them, a transmitting transducer 11T that transmits ultrasonic waves (a transducer that has been hatched in FIG. 1) and a receiving transducer 11R that receives an echo from the flaw detection material B (in FIG. Are selected from the group of transducers.
(2) An ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting transducer 11T of the selected transducer group toward the material to be inspected B, and an echo from the to-be-examined material B is received by the receiving transducer 11R of the selected transducer group. .
(3) Based on the flaw detection signal obtained by receiving the echo from the flaw detection material B by the receiving transducer 11R of the selected transducer group, the flaw detection material B in the direction facing the ultrasonic probe 1 A partial cross-sectional image S is generated. For example, an aperture synthesis process is used to generate the partial cross-sectional image S.
(4) A partial cross-sectional image S is generated for each selected transducer group by sequentially switching the transducer groups to be selected and repeatedly executing the procedures (2) and (3).
(5) By synthesizing the plurality of generated partial sectional images S, an entire sectional image AS of the flaw detection material B in a direction facing the one-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe 1 is generated, and the generated entire Defects are detected using the cross-sectional image AS.

Here, in an ultrasonic flaw detection method using a normal ultrasonic probe that is not an array type, a reverberation echo (ghost) may occur in the flaw detection waveform due to the length of the time interval for repeatedly transmitting ultrasonic waves. There is a problem (see, for example, Patent Documents 2 and 3).
Similarly, in the conventional ultrasonic flaw detection method in which a cross-sectional image of a flaw detection material is generated using a one-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe to detect a defect, a time interval (selection of a transducer group to be selected) is selected. There is a problem that a pixel region corresponding to a reverberant echo (ghost) may occur in the cross-sectional image due to the length of the time interval (transmitting ultrasonic waves from the transmitting transducers of each transducer group).

FIG. 2 is a diagram schematically showing a flaw detection waveform obtained when ultrasonic waves are repeatedly transmitted in an ultrasonic flaw detection method using a normal ultrasonic probe. FIG. 2A shows a case where the time interval for repeatedly transmitting ultrasonic waves is short, and FIG. 2B shows a case where the time interval for repeatedly transmitting ultrasonic waves is long.
As shown in FIG. 2A, when the time interval for repeatedly transmitting ultrasonic waves is short, the multiple bottom echoes (B 1 1 to B 1 N + 2 ) generated by the first transmission (transmission echo T 1 ) are sufficiently attenuated. Before the transmission, the second transmission (transmission echo T 2 ) is executed. As a result, the bottom echo (B 1 N + 1 ) generated by the first transmission enters the flaw detection gate by the second transmission, and this bottom echo becomes a reverberation echo (ghost). If the reverberation echo has a certain intensity or more, the reverberation echo may be erroneously detected as a scratch echo. The same applies to the third transmission (transmission echo T 3 ) and subsequent transmissions.
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 2B, if the time interval for repeatedly transmitting ultrasonic waves is long, the bottom echo generated by the first transmission does not enter the flaw detection gate by the second transmission. Or, only the bottom echo sufficiently attenuated to the extent that does not cause a problem is entered. The same applies to the second transmission and subsequent transmissions. Therefore, although the problem of reverberant echo (ghost) does not occur, there is a problem that the number of times that the flaw can be detected per unit time is reduced and the flaw detection speed is lowered because the time interval for repeatedly transmitting ultrasonic waves is long.

Similarly, in the conventional ultrasonic flaw detection method in which a cross-sectional image of a material to be inspected is generated using a one-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe and a defect is detected, a time interval for switching a selected transducer group (each selected If the time interval for transmitting ultrasonic waves from the transmitting transducer of the transducer group is short, a pixel region corresponding to a reverberant echo (ghost) is generated in the cross-sectional image, which may be erroneously detected as a flaw. On the other hand, if the time interval for switching the transducer group to be selected is long, a pixel region corresponding to a reverberation echo (ghost) is hardly generated in the cross-sectional image, but there is a problem that the flaw detection speed is lowered.
For example, in the method described in Patent Document 1, the influence of reverberant echo (ghost) is reduced by setting a long time interval (Δt) for transmitting ultrasonic waves from the transmitting vibrator (piezoelectric element 25). (Patent Document 1, paragraph 0012) Therefore, there is a problem that the flaw detection speed is lowered as described above. In Patent Document 1, reverberation echo generated by multiple surface echoes is a problem. However, as described with reference to FIG. 2 and as described in Patent Document 3, reverberation echoes generated by multiple bottom surface echoes. May be a problem. There are also cases where both reverberation echoes caused by multiple surface echoes and reverberation echoes caused by multiple bottom echoes become problematic.

The present invention has been made to solve such problems of the prior art, and generates a cross-sectional image of a flaw detection material based on a flaw detection signal output from a one-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe. An ultrasonic flaw detection method and apparatus for detecting a defect using a cross-sectional image, and capable of reducing the influence of a pixel region corresponding to a reverberation echo (ghost) that can occur in the cross-sectional image without causing a decrease in flaw detection speed. It is an object of the present invention to provide an acoustic flaw detection method and apparatus.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a one-dimensional array-type ultrasonic probe having a plurality of transducers arranged in a straight line so as to face a material to be inspected, and the ultrasonic probe. This is an ultrasonic flaw detection method for detecting a defect based on a flaw detection signal output from, and includes the following first to fifth steps.
(1) First step: From a plurality of transducers included in the ultrasonic probe, a transmission transducer that transmits ultrasonic waves and a reception transducer that receives echoes from the flaw detection material Select a group of transducers.
(2) Second step: an ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting transducer of the transducer group selected in the first step toward the flaw detection material, and the receiving vibration of the transducer group selected in the first step The child receives an echo from the flaw detection material.
(3) Third step: Based on the flaw detection signal obtained by receiving the echo from the flaw detection material in the second step with the receiving transducer of the selected transducer group, the ultrasonic probe A partial cross-sectional image of the flaw detection material in the opposite direction is generated.
(4) Fourth step: The transducer groups selected in the first step are sequentially switched so that the flaw detection ranges of three or more transducer groups that are sequentially selected have overlapping portions, and the second step and By repeatedly executing the third step, a partial cross-sectional image is generated for each selected transducer group.
(5) Fifth step: After aligning the plurality of partial sectional images generated in the fourth step in the arrangement direction of the transducers, each pixel constituting the plurality of partial sectional images By synthesizing by adding the concentrations of the two, a cross-sectional image of the flaw detection material in a direction facing the one-dimensional array type ultrasonic probe is generated, and a defect is detected using the generated cross-sectional image. To do.
In the fourth step, the present invention is characterized in that, in the fourth step, the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transducer for transmission of any one of the transducer groups having portions where the flaw detection ranges overlap each other. The time intervals from the transducer group selected next to the group of transducer groups to the time point at which the ultrasonic wave is transmitted are all different, and the difference in the time intervals is received from the flaw detection material. The time point at which an ultrasonic wave is transmitted from each transmitting transducer of the transducer group having a portion where the flaw detection ranges overlap each other is controlled so that the duration of the reverberant echo is equal to or longer.

According to the present invention, in the fourth step, among the transducer groups (three or more transducer groups) that are sequentially selected and have overlapping portions in the flaw detection range, the vibration for transmission of any one of the transducer groups The flaw detection range is set so that the time intervals from the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the child to the time point when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting transducer of the transducer group selected next to the set of transducer groups are all different. The time point at which an ultrasonic wave is transmitted from each transmission transducer of the transducer group having overlapping portions is controlled.
Specifically, for example, if the flaw detection ranges of the four transducer groups of the transducer groups A to D (selected sequentially in this order) have overlapping portions, they are generated in the fourth step. Among the partial cross-sectional images (total of four partial cross-sectional images) for each of the transducer groups A to D, the same reverberation echo is applied to any partial cross-sectional image in a pixel region corresponding to a portion where the flaw detection ranges overlap. There may be a pixel region corresponding to (for example, one of multiple bottom echoes). More specifically, a transducer that is selected next to the set of transducer groups from the time when an ultrasonic wave is transmitted from a transducer for transmission of any one set of transducer groups (for example, transducer group A). If the time interval from the transmitting transducer of the group (for example, the transducer group B) to the time point at which the ultrasonic wave is transmitted is short, the transducer group A and the flaw detection among the partial cross-sectional images obtained by the transducer group B There is a possibility that a pixel region corresponding to a reverberation echo generated due to transmission of ultrasonic waves from the transducer for transmission of the transducer group A may exist in the pixel region corresponding to the overlapping range. Similarly, in the partial cross-sectional image obtained by the transducer group C, a pixel region corresponding to a portion where the flaw detection range overlaps with the transducer groups A and B is superposed from the transmission transducer of the transducer group B. There may be a pixel region corresponding to a reverberation echo generated due to the transmission of a sound wave. In addition, in the partial cross-sectional image obtained by the transducer group D, in the pixel area corresponding to the portion where the flaw detection range overlaps with the transducer groups A to C, ultrasonic waves are transmitted from the transducer for transmission of the transducer group C. There may be a pixel region corresponding to a reverberation echo generated due to the transmission of the.

For example, if the reverberation echo is one of the multiple bottom echoes, from the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transducer for transmission of any one of the transducer groups A to D, The elapsed time until the reverberation echo is received by the receiving transducer of the selected transducer group is substantially the same.
However, in the present invention, as described above, the transmission of the transducer group selected next to the set of transducer groups from the time when the ultrasonic waves are transmitted from the transmission transducers of any set of transducer groups. Control is performed so that the time intervals from the trusted oscillator to the point of time when ultrasonic waves are transmitted are all different. Specifically, the time interval from the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting vibrator of the vibrator group A to the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting vibrator of the vibrator group B is C 1 , and the vibrator group B The time interval from the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting vibrator to the time point when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting vibrator of the vibrator group C is C 2 , and the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting vibrator of the vibrator group C. If the time interval from the time when transmitted up to the point that transmitted the ultrasonic wave from the transmitting transducers of the transducer groups D and C 3, such that C 1 ≠ C 2 ≠ C 3 , the transducer group A~D The time point at which the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from each transmitting transducer is controlled. For this reason, the reverberation echo is received by the receiving transducer of the next selected transducer group from the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting transducer of any one of the transducer groups A to D. Even if the elapsed time up to the point of time of receiving is substantially the same, the reverberation is performed by the receiving transducer of the transducer group from the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting transducer of the next selected transducer group. In the elapsed time up to the time when the echo is received, a shift corresponding to the difference between the time intervals C 1 to C 3 occurs. Accordingly, at the position of the pixel area corresponding to the reverberation echo in the partial cross-sectional images obtained by the transducer groups A to D (position along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction (Y direction in FIG. 1) in the partial cross-sectional images). Causes a shift according to the difference between the time intervals C 1 to C 3 .

Moreover, as described above, according to the present invention, the time interval difference (for example, C 2 -C 1 ) is controlled to be equal to or longer than the duration of the reverberant echo received from the flaw detection material. For this reason, the positions of the pixel regions corresponding to the reverberation echoes in the partial cross-sectional images obtained by the transducer groups A to D (positions along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction in the partial cross-sectional images) are shifted so as not to overlap each other. It will be. The duration of the reverberant echo can be obtained experimentally.
On the other hand, when a flaw exists in a portion where the flaw detection ranges of the transducer groups A to D overlap each other, the position of the pixel region corresponding to the flaw in the partial cross-sectional images obtained by the transducer groups A to D (partial) The position along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction in the cross-sectional image) is substantially the same for any partial cross-sectional image.

Therefore, in the fifth step, a plurality of partial cross-sectional images are synthesized (after aligning each partial cross-sectional image in the transducer arrangement direction (X direction in FIG. 1), each partial cross-sectional image is formed. If the whole cross-sectional image of the flaw detection material is generated by adding the density of the pixels to be detected), the density of the pixel area corresponding to the flaw in the whole cross-sectional image is substantially the same as the position of the pixel area corresponding to the flaw. On the other hand, the density in the pixel area corresponding to the reverberation echo is not accumulated because the position of the pixel area is shifted.
For this reason, the S / N ratio (S: the density of the pixel area corresponding to the flaw, N: the density of the pixel area corresponding to the reverberation echo) of the entire cross-sectional image is increased, and the influence of the pixel area corresponding to the reverberation echo (ghost) is increased. Can be reduced.

As described above, according to the present invention, the transmission of the transducer group selected next to the set of transducer groups from the time when the ultrasonic waves are transmitted from the transmission transducers of any set of transducer groups. Even if a pixel area corresponding to a reverberation echo is generated in each partial cross-sectional image by shortening the time interval from the trusted oscillator to the time when ultrasonic waves are transmitted, the position is different in each partial cross-sectional image. Therefore, in the entire cross-sectional image generated by combining the partial cross-sectional images, the influence of the pixel region corresponding to the reverberation echo can be reduced. That is, according to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the influence of the pixel region corresponding to the reverberation echo that can occur in the cross-sectional image without causing a decrease in the flaw detection speed.
In the present invention, it is preferable that the third step includes a 3-1 step of dividing a coordinate space of an area within the flaw detection range of the selected transducer group into a plurality of meshes, and the flaw detection material. Ultrasonic waves from the transmitting transducer of the selected transducer group to the target mesh among the plurality of meshes among the flaw detection signals obtained by receiving the echoes of the selected transducer group by the receiving transducer of the selected transducer group And a flaw detection signal value corresponding to the time required to propagate the ultrasonic wave propagation path from the target mesh to the receiving transducer of the selected transducer group is input to the target mesh. Step 3 and Step 3-2 are executed for all combinations of the transmitting transducer and the receiving transducer in the selected transducer group, and the value of the flaw detection signal is added to the target mesh. Performing the third step 3-3, the third step 3-2 and the third step 3-3 on all of the plurality of meshes, thereby generating a third sectional image of the flaw detection material. -4 steps.
Furthermore, in the present invention, preferably, in the fourth step, the transducer group selected in the first step is selected so that the flaw detection ranges of three or more pairs of transducer groups sequentially selected have overlapping portions. A partial cross-sectional image is generated for each of the selected transducer groups by sequentially switching in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the flaw detection material and repeatedly executing the second step and the third step.

Hereinafter, an ultrasonic flaw detection method executed by the ultrasonic flaw detection apparatus 100 having the above-described configuration will be described.
As shown in FIG. 4, the control signal processing means 2 starts flaw detection using the output signal of the PLG 3 as a trigger, and transmits ultrasonic waves from a plurality of transducers 11 included in the ultrasonic probe 1. A transducer group consisting of a trusted transducer and a receiving transducer that receives an echo from the flaw detection material B is selected (corresponding to the first step of the present invention).
For example, one transmission vibrator (this transmission vibrator is also used as a reception vibrator) and ten reception vibrators (21 in total) arranged on both sides of this transmission vibrator. Are selected as a set of transducer groups. However, if ten transducers 11 are not present on both sides of the transmission transducer, only the transducer 11 that is present is used as a reception transducer.

Next, the control signal processing means 2 transmits an ultrasonic wave from the transmitting transducer of the transducer group selected in the first step toward the material B to be detected, and receives the transducer group selected in the first step. An echo from the flaw detection material B is received by the vibrator (corresponding to the second step of the present invention).
Then, the control signal processing means 2 applies the ultrasonic probe 1 to the ultrasonic probe 1 based on the flaw detection signal obtained by receiving the echo from the flaw detection material B in the second step with the receiving vibrator of the selected vibrator group. A partial cross-sectional image S of the inspection object B in the opposite direction is generated (corresponding to the third step of the present invention).

The generation of the partial cross-sectional image S by the control signal processing means 2 (specifically, the transmission / reception control / imaging means 21) is executed by performing aperture synthesis processing on the flaw detection data as described above.
The outline of the aperture synthesis process will be described below.

FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining the outline of the aperture synthesis process executed by the ultrasonic flaw detector shown in FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5, in the aperture synthesis process, the coordinate space (XY) of the region within the flaw detection range of the selected transducer group in the cross section of the flaw detection material B in the direction facing the ultrasonic probe 1. Coordinates) is divided into meshes. Then, the value of the flaw detection data recorded in the waveform memory provided in the transmission / reception control / imaging means 21 is input to each mesh. When determining the value to be input, first, of the receiving transducers (for example, 21) of the selected transducer group, the receiving transducer of interest (in FIG. 5, transducers Ra and Rb) is determined. . Then, an ultrasonic wave propagation path WI from the transmitting vibrator (vibrator P in FIG. 5) to the target mesh, and an ultrasonic wave propagation path WRa and WRb from the target mesh to the receiving vibrators Ra and Rb. To decide. These propagation paths WI, WRa, and WRb are determined based on the positional relationship between the transducers P, Ra, and Rb and the flaw detection material B, the sound velocity in the contact medium and the flaw detection material B, and the like. Snell's law is the propagation path connecting the incident point or exit point of the ultrasonic wave to the flaw detection material B and the propagation path connecting the incident point or emission point of the ultrasonic wave to the flaw detection material B and the target mesh. Alternatively, it is performed by selecting an incident point or an exit point of the ultrasonic wave so as to satisfy Fermat's theorem. Then, of the flaw detection data in the receiving transducer Ra recorded in the waveform memory, the value of data corresponding to the propagation time WI and the time (Ta) propagating through WRa is acquired and input to the target mesh. Further, out of the flaw detection data in the receiving transducer Rb recorded in the waveform memory, the value of data corresponding to the propagation time WI and the time (Tb) propagating through WRb is acquired and input to the same target mesh. (to add).
By performing the processing described above for the combination of the transmitting transducer of the selected transducer group and all the receiving transducers, the value of the flaw detection data input to the target mesh is determined. Then, by performing this process on all meshes, an aperture composite image of the cross section is generated. The generated aperture composite image is a partial cross-sectional image S of the flaw detection material B.

Next, as shown in FIG. 4, the control signal processing means 2 sequentially switches the transducer group selected in the first step, and performs the second step (transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves from the selected transducer group) and By repeatedly executing the third step (generation of the partial cross-sectional image S), a partial cross-sectional image S is generated for each selected transducer group (corresponding to the fourth step of the present invention). In the example illustrated in FIG. 4, switching is sequentially performed from the first group of transducers to the Mth group of transducers, and a partial cross-sectional image S (S 1 to S M ) is generated for each transducer group. The switching of the transducer groups by the control signal processing means 2 is performed so that the flaw detection ranges of three or more pairs of transducer groups that are sequentially selected have overlapping portions. For example, as described above, when one transmission transducer and ten reception transducers arranged on both sides thereof are selected as one set of transducer groups, the transmission transducers are shifted by three. In response to this, the transducer groups are switched by selecting three transducers for reception by shifting them.

Finally, the control signal processing means 2 synthesizes a plurality of partial sectional images S (S 1 to S M ) generated in the fourth step. The partial cross-sectional images S are synthesized after the partial cross-sectional images S are aligned in the transducer arrangement direction (X direction in FIG. 4). Since it corresponds to the amount of deviation in the X direction of the child group, it is possible to perform alignment), and the density of the pixels constituting each partial sectional image S may be added. As described above, the control signal processing means 2 synthesizes a plurality of partial cross-sectional images S (S 1 to S M ) so that the entire flaw detection material B in the direction facing the ultrasonic probe 1 is combined. A cross-sectional image AS is generated, and a defect is detected using the generated overall cross-sectional image AS (corresponding to the fifth step of the present invention). In order to detect a defect, known image processing such as binarization may be applied to the entire cross-sectional image AS.

Here, when the transducer groups to be selected are sequentially switched to generate the partial cross-sectional images S (S 1 to S M ) for each selected transducer group (fourth step of the present invention), the control signal processing means 2 Is selected next to the set of transducers from the point of time when ultrasonic waves are transmitted from the transducer for transmission of any one of the sets of transducers having portions where the flaw detection ranges overlap each other. The time intervals from the transmitting transducer of the transducer group to which the ultrasonic waves are transmitted are all different, and the difference in the time intervals is equal to or longer than the duration of the reverberant echo received from the flaw detection material B. The time point at which the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from each transmitting transducer of the transducer group having a portion where the flaw detection ranges overlap each other is controlled.
That is, from the time when an ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmission transducer of the i-th transducer group to the time when an ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmission transducer of the (i + 1) th transducer group to be selected next. If the time interval is C i, at least for transducer group having a portion flaw detection ranges overlap each other C i is any C i different for being controlled (all transducer group so that all different Can also be done). Further, the time interval difference (C i + 1 −C i ) is controlled to be equal to or longer than the duration of the reverberant echo received from the flaw detection material B.

The duration of the reverberant echo can be obtained experimentally. For example, if the time interval difference is set to a time equivalent to 10 or more waves of the ultrasonic wave wavelength determined by the flaw detection frequency, the set time interval difference is considered to be equal to or longer than the reverberation echo duration. If the flaw detection frequency is 3 MHz, the time corresponding to 10 waves of the wavelength is 0.33 μsec × 10 = 3.3 μsec. Therefore, for example, the time interval difference may be set to 4 μsec. Further, for example, when there are 21 sets of transducer groups to be selected in total and 11 sets of transducer groups having portions where the flaw detection ranges overlap each other, C 1 = 320 μsec, C 2 = 324 μsec, C 3 = 328 μsec, ..., C 10 = 356 μsec, C 11 = 320 μsec, C 12 = 324 μsec,..., C 20 = 356 μsec, C i is all different for at least a group of transducers having overlapping flaw detection ranges. Therefore, it is possible to satisfy the condition that the time interval difference (C i + 1 −C i ) is equal to or longer than the duration of the reverberant echo received from the flaw detection material B. Note that the value of each C i is preset in the timing generator 23 provided in the control signal processing means 2, and the timing generator 23 outputs a timing signal corresponding to the value of each C i to the CH switch 22. Thus, the transducer group to be selected is sequentially switched at a time interval corresponding to the value of each Ci.
In the above example, the total time of C 1 to C 20 is 6.76 msec, and even if the time required for generating the partial cross-sectional image S and the entire cross-sectional image AS is included, it can be sufficiently within 20 msec. is there. Therefore, when a pulse signal is output every 20 msec from the PLG 3, the control signal processing means 2 can repeatedly execute the above operation every time the pulse signal is output. In other words, as described above, if the output of the PLG 3 is 1 pulse / 10 mm and the conveyance speed of the flaw detection material B is 500 mm / sec, the flaw detection flaw is caused every time the flaw detection material B advances 10 mm in the conveyance direction. The cross section of the material B can be detected.

According to the ultrasonic flaw detection apparatus 100 and the ultrasonic flaw detection method using the ultrasonic flaw detection apparatus 100 according to the present embodiment described above, at least one set of the transducer groups with respect to the transducer group having a portion where the flaw detection ranges overlap each other. Of the transducer group ((i + 1) th transducer group) selected next to the one transducer group from the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmission transducer of the (ith transducer group) Control is performed so that the time intervals C i from the transmitting transducer to the time point of transmitting ultrasonic waves are all different. For this reason, from the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transmitting transducer of any one of the transducer groups (i-th transducer group), the next selected transducer group ((i + 1) -th vibration) Even if the elapsed time until the reverberation echo is received by the receiving vibrator of the child group) is substantially the same, for transmitting the next selected vibrator group ((i + 1) th vibrator group) The time interval C i is the elapsed time from when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted from the transducer to when the reverberation echo is received by the receiving transducer of the transducer group ((i + 1) th transducer group). Deviation according to the difference occurs. Accordingly, the position of the pixel region corresponding to the reverberation echo in the partial cross-sectional image S obtained by each transducer group (position along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction (Y direction in FIG. 4) in the partial cross-sectional image S) is present. , so that the deviation corresponding to the difference between the time interval C i occurs.

Moreover, according to the ultrasonic flaw detection apparatus 100 and the ultrasonic flaw detection method using the same according to the present embodiment, the control such that the difference time interval C i is greater than or equal to the duration of the reverberation echoes received from the test object material B doing. For this reason, the position of the pixel region corresponding to the reverberation echo in the partial cross-sectional image S obtained by each transducer group (the position along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction in the partial cross-sectional image S) is shifted so as not to overlap each other. become.
On the other hand, when a flaw exists in a portion where the flaw detection ranges of the transducer groups overlap each other, the position of the pixel region corresponding to the flaw in the partial cross-sectional image S obtained by each transducer group (super The position along the sound wave propagation direction) is substantially the same for any partial cross-sectional image S.

Therefore, if the entire cross-sectional image AS of the flaw detection material B is generated by combining a plurality of partial cross-sectional images S, the density of the pixel region corresponding to the flaw in the whole cross-sectional image AS is the pixel region corresponding to the flaw. Since the positions of are substantially the same, they are integrated and become larger. On the other hand, the density of the pixel area corresponding to the reverberation echo is not integrated because the position of the pixel area is shifted.
For this reason, the S / N ratio (S: the density of the pixel area corresponding to the flaw, N: the density of the pixel area corresponding to the reverberation echo) of the entire cross-sectional image SA is increased, and the pixel area corresponding to the reverberation echo (ghost) is increased. The impact can be reduced.

FIG. 6 is a diagram of the transducer group selected next to the set of transducer groups from the time when the ultrasound is transmitted from the transducer for transmission of the set of transducer groups in the ultrasonic flaw detector shown in FIG. The result of confirming that the position of the pixel area corresponding to the reverberation echo changes while the position of the pixel area corresponding to the flaw does not change according to the time interval from the transmitting transducer to the time when the ultrasonic wave is transmitted. FIG. 6A shows the outline of the confirmation test, FIG. 6B shows the entire cross-sectional image AS obtained when the time interval is set to 320 μsec for all the transducer groups, and FIG. 6C shows all the vibrations. FIG. 6D shows an overall cross-sectional image AS obtained when the time interval is set to 324 μsec for the child group, and FIG. 6D shows the overall cross-sectional image AS obtained when the time interval is set to 1000 μsec for all transducer groups. In addition, the whole cross-sectional image AS shown to FIG.6 (b)-(d) is obtained as a flaw detection area | region surrounded by the broken line shown to Fig.6 (a).
As can be seen by comparing FIG. 6B and FIG. 6C, the position of the pixel region corresponding to the reverberation echo (position along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction (Y direction in FIG. 6) in the overall cross-sectional image AS). ) Has a deviation corresponding to the difference in time interval. Further, by setting the time interval difference to 4 μsec (when the flaw detection frequency is 3 MHz, 3.3 μsec or more, which is a time corresponding to 10 waves of the ultrasonic wave), the position of the pixel region corresponding to the reverberation echo ( The positions in the whole cross-sectional image AS along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction are shifted so as not to overlap each other. On the other hand, the position of the pixel area corresponding to the flaw (position along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction in the entire cross-sectional image AS) is substantially the same.
As shown in FIG. 6D, it can be seen that if the time interval is increased, a pixel region corresponding to a reverberant echo does not occur. However, in this case, the flaw detection speed is reduced.

Also from the results of the above confirmation test, the time intervals C i are all different for the transducer groups having portions where the flaw detection ranges overlap each other, and the difference in the time intervals C i is received from the flaw detection material B. According to the ultrasonic flaw detection apparatus 100 and the ultrasonic flaw detection method using the ultrasonic flaw detection apparatus 100 according to the present embodiment that are controlled so as to be longer than the duration of the reverberation echo, the S / N ratio of the entire cross-sectional image SA is increased, and the reverberation is increased. It can be seen that the influence of the pixel area corresponding to the echo can be reduced.

As described above, according to the ultrasonic flaw detection apparatus 100 and the ultrasonic flaw detection method using the same according to the present embodiment, a reverberation echo that can occur in a cross-sectional image (overall cross-sectional image SA) without causing a decrease in flaw detection speed.
