Description

Claims (14)
- 長さLおよび幅Wを有し、放射線不透過性(radio opaque)であるブロッキング部分、
長さL’および幅W’を有する駆動部分であって、前記ブロッキング部分に接続されている駆動部分、ならびに、
電流供給源に動作可能に接続されている導電性コイルであって、長さL’の少なくとも一部分に沿って前記駆動部分に固定されており、通過する電流が第1の磁界を発生させる導電性(conductive)コイル
を各リーフが含む、ある移動の長さ(a length of travel)を有する複数のリーフ(leaves)と、
前記複数のリーフを支持するように構成されているリーフガイドと、
複数の固定磁石であって、それぞれの磁石は、少なくとも1つのリーフの前記駆動部分に隣接して位置決めされており、それぞれの固定磁石は、第2の磁界を有し、前記第2の磁界は、前記第1の磁界と関連して(in conjunction with)動作し、前記駆動部分に力を及ぼすように構成されている、複数の固定磁石と

前記複数のリーフの前記第1のサブセットおよび第2のサブセットの中の前記駆動部分は、それぞれの隣接するリーフのための前記上側部分および前記下側部分の中に交互に(alternatingly)位置付けされている、請求項1に記載のMLC。 - 前記上側部分の中の固定磁石の前記第1のサブセットが、前記下側部分の中の固定磁石の前記第2のサブセットから、おおよそ1つのリーフの厚さだけ水平方向にオフセットされている、請求項7に記載のMLC。

前記複数のリーフを支持するように構成されているリーフガイドと、
複数の固定磁石であって、それぞれの磁石は、少なくとも1つのリーフの前記駆動部分に隣接して位置決めされており、それぞれの固定磁石は、第2の磁界を有し、前記第2の磁界は、前記第1の磁界と関連して動作し、前記駆動部分に力を及ぼすように構成されている、複数の固定磁石と

前記MLCのリーフに関する所望の状態を決定するステップであって、前記リーフは、電磁駆動システムを使用して移動させられる、ステップと、
移動の長さを有するリーフの、後退した(recessed)位置に配置された伝導コイルの磁界を起動するステップと、
前記リーフが前記所望の状態にない場合には、伝導コイルの磁界を修正して第2の磁界と相互作用させ、結果として前記リーフの上に力を生じさせ、前記リーフが移動することを引き起こすステップと、
移動の長さに沿ったいずれかの場所に、前記所望の状態に前記リーフを停止させるステップと
を含む、方法。 - 前記リーフが前記所望の状態にない場合には、第1の磁界を発生させるために、前記リーフのドライビング部分の中に存在している電磁コイルに電流を印加するステップであって、前記第1の磁界は、前記ドライビング部分のそれぞれの側部にある固定磁石の第2の磁界と関連して動作し、結果として前記ドライビング部分の上に力を生じさせ、前記リーフが移動することを引き起こす、ステップ
をさらに含む、請求項10に記載の制御コンピュータにより実行される方法。 - 前記所望の状態に前記リーフを停止させるステップが、前記第1の磁界が前記第2の磁界と関連して動作し、結果として前記リーフの前記ドライビング部分にブレーキング力を生じさせるように、前記電磁コイルへの前記電流を修正することによってブレーキング力を加えるステップを含む、請求項11に記載の制御コンピュータにより実行される方法。
- 長さLおよび幅Wを有し、放射線不透過性であるブロッキング部分、
長さL’および幅W’を有する駆動部分であって、前記ブロッキング部分に接続されている駆動部分、ならびに、
前記駆動部分の中に位置決めされている永久磁石
を各リーフが含む、ある移動の長さを有する複数のリーフと、
前記複数のリーフを支持するように構成されているリーフガイドと、
複数の導電性コイルであって、少なくとも1つのコイルが、隣接するリーフの間に位置決めされており、電流供給源に接続されており、電流が前記少なくとも1つのコイルを通過するときに第1の磁界を発生させ、前記第1の磁界は、前記磁石によって発生させられる第2の磁界と相互作用し、前記駆動部分に力を及ぼす、複数の導電性コイルと
を含む、マルチリーフコリメーター(MLC)。 - 前記ブロッキング部分の前記幅Wが、前記駆動部分の前記幅W’よりも大きい、請求項13に記載のMLC。
