Description
(1)穿孔圧延機(ピアサ)により、所定温度に加熱された素材(丸ビレット)を穿孔圧延し、中空素管(ホローシェル)に成形する。
(2)延伸圧延機(例えばマンドレルミル)により、中空素管を延伸圧延する。
(3)定径圧延機(例えばストレッチレデューサ)により、延伸圧延した中空素管を所定の外径と肉厚に定径圧延する。

ここで、点の先端側の勾配θ1は、当該点における外周面の接線のうちで当該点より先端側の外周面の接線とプラグ母材の中心線とがなす角度とし、点の後端側の勾配θ2は、当該点における外周面の接線のうちで当該点より後端側の外周面の接線とプラグ母材の中心線とがなす角度とする。
プラグの作製では、先ず、JIS規定の熱間工具鋼からなるプラグ母材を準備した。そのプラグ母材の外周面に、アーク溶射機によって鉄線材を粒子化して吹き付け、FeおよびFe酸化物からなる皮膜を形成した。その際、プラグ母材の外周面を後端側の領域と先端側の領域に区分し、後端側の領域に皮膜を形成した後、先端側の領域に皮膜を形成した。
各プラグをモデルミルによる穿孔圧延に繰り返して3回用いた。ビレットは、SUS304ステンレス鋼製とした。表1に、穿孔圧延の条件と、ビレットの寸法と、得られた素管の寸法を示す。
3回の穿孔圧延の終了後に、プラグの皮膜の状態を目視で確認した。下記表2の「皮膜の状態」欄における記号の意味は次の通りである。
○:接続部での皮膜の剥離がなく、良好であったことを示す。
×:接続部での皮膜の剥離があり、不可であったことを示す。
表2に試験No.と、試験区分と、皮膜の状態を示す。

Claims (2)
- 継目無鋼管を製造する際に穿孔圧延機で使用されるプラグの製造方法であって、
当該製造方法は、
外周面に周方向に沿って凹部を有するプラグ母材を準備する工程と、
アーク溶射によって溶射線材を前記プラグ母材の外周面に吹き付け、FeおよびFe酸化物を含有する皮膜を前記プラグ母材の外周面に形成するアーク溶射工程と、を含み、
前記アーク溶射工程は、
前記プラグ母材の外周面を軸方向に沿って複数の領域に区分し、前記領域の境界を前記凹部に設定する区分工程と、
前記領域ごとにアーク溶射を施してアーク溶射皮膜の接続部を前記凹部に配置する工程と、を含む、プラグの製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載のプラグの製造方法であって、
前記プラグ母材は、前記外周面が複数の分割面を軸方向に順に繋いで形成され、かつ、前記分割面の繋ぎ目に前記凹部を有し、
前記凹部となる前記繋ぎ目において、前記プラグの先端側に位置する分割面の勾配θ1(°)および前記プラグの後端側に位置する分割面の勾配θ2(°)が、下記(1)式を満足する、プラグの製造方法。
