なお、ここでは図2で示した同心円状無電極紫外線放射ランプ20を用いているが、図3で示した同心円状無電極紫外線放射ランプ30を用いることができることはもちろんである。
Claims (7)
- 放電ガスが封入された気密容器と、該気密容器の外部に設けられて該気密容器中に放電を発生させる放電発生手段とを備える無電極紫外線放射ランプにおいて、
前記放電発生手段は、フェライトコアと、該フェライトコアに巻回された励起コイルを含み、該励起コイルに高周波電流を流すことにより前記気密容器内の前記放電ガスを励起するように構成されてなり、
上記気密容器の内壁面の少なくとも一部に形成された絶縁性の酸化金属微粒子膜からなる初期電子源を有し、放電開始時に該絶縁性の酸化金属微粒子膜から電子が放出されることにより、該放出された電子をきっかけとして放電が開始されることを特徴とする無電極紫外線放射ランプ。 - 上記の絶縁性酸化金属微粒子膜は、ランタン、セリウム、プラセオジウム、ネオジウム、プロメチウム、サマリウム、ユウロピウム、ガドリニウム、テルビウム、ジスプロシウム、ホルミウム、エルビウム、ツリウム、イッテリビウム、ルテチウム、イットリウム、ジルコニウム、ニオビウムのうちの少なくとも一種の金属の酸化物微粒子、あるいは複数種の金属の酸化物微粒子の混合物で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の無電極紫外線放射ランプ。
- 上記の絶縁性酸化金属微粒子膜は、その塗布前のスラリー状態において、最頻出現粒径が0.05μm以下かつ0.01μm以上である酸化金属微粒子により形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の無電極紫外線放射ランプ。
- 上記の絶縁性酸化金属微粒子膜は、気密容器内壁面の、放電発生手段に対応する領域に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の無電極紫外線放射ランプ。
- 上記の絶縁性酸化金属微粒子膜は、気密容器内壁面の全体にわたって形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の無電極紫外線放射ランプ。
- 前記気密容器は、略円筒状、同心円筒状及びリング状から選ばれたいずれか1つの形状からなる放電空間を形成していることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の無電極紫外線放射ランプ。
- 請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の無電極紫外線放射ランプと、該ランプからの紫外線がその内部の被処理物に照射されるよう上記のランプが配置された被処理物容器とからなる紫外線処理装置。
