Description

The present invention relates to a synthetic resin wheel used for a driving wheel of a wheelchair and a method of manufacturing the wheel.

Conventionally, for example, a synthetic resin wheel for a wheelchair integrally formed using a synthetic resin as proposed in Patent Document 1 has been used. Such synthetic resin wheels are manufactured by injection molding. Generally, upper and lower molds for molding both front and back sides of a wheel and a mounting groove of a rim portion on which a tire is mounted are formed. It is manufactured by a mold combining a plurality of peripheral molds.

In the molds used in the production of the synthetic resin wheel described above, in consideration of productivity and workability, a draft is formed in the upper mold, the lower mold, and the peripheral mold so that the mold can be smoothly and easily removed. Further, there is no unevenness that prevents movement in the die-cutting direction. For example, as shown in FIG. 8, the conventional synthetic resin wheel h molded by such a mold has a mounting groove g formed by a pair of rim flange portions f of the rim portion k, and has no irregularities on the inner surface thereof. And it is formed in the shape which expands toward a wheel radial direction outer side (refer FIG. 3 of the said patent document 1).

By the way, the wheelchair often changes its direction on the spot around the driving wheel, and the tire twists at that time, so that the tire moves and the tube bites, which may cause puncture. Therefore, there has been a demand for a synthetic resin wheel that is difficult to puncture during such a change of direction.

An object of the present invention is to provide an integrally molded synthetic resin wheel for a wheelchair that is lightweight and difficult to puncture, and a method for manufacturing the same.

The present invention integrally forms a hub portion that receives an axle, a spoke portion that extends from the hub portion, and an annular rim portion that is provided at an outer end of the spoke portion and on which a pneumatic tire is mounted. A synthetic resin wheel for a wheelchair, wherein the rim portion includes a pair of rim flanges facing each other along a wheel axial direction, and a mounting groove for mounting the pneumatic tire between the pair of rim flanges. Furthermore, circumferential projections projecting into the groove of the mounting groove are formed on the respective edges of the pair of rim flanges in the circumferential direction. a base end portion of the pneumatic tire are those according to the method of manufacturing a wheelchair for synthetic resin wheel engaging.

In the configuration of the present invention, since the circumferential projections are formed on the pair of rim flanges, the circumferential projections can be obtained even when the pneumatic tire is twisted by turning the wheelchair on the spot. The portion makes it difficult for the pneumatic tire to come off the rim portion. That is, the synthetic resin wheel of the present invention is light and difficult to puncture, and is extremely excellent for a wheelchair.

Specifically, the present invention includes a hub portion that receives an axle, a spoke portion that extends from the hub portion, an annular rim portion that is provided at an outer end of the spoke portion and on which a pneumatic tire is mounted. The rim portion includes a pair of rim flanges facing each other along the wheel axial direction, and a mounting groove for mounting the pneumatic tire is formed between the pair of rim flanges. Furthermore, circumferential projections projecting into the groove of the mounting groove are formed on the respective edges of the pair of rim flanges in the circumferential direction, and the pneumatic tire is formed on the circumferential projection. A method for manufacturing a wheel made of synthetic resin for a wheelchair in which a wheel made of a synthetic resin for a wheelchair with which a base end portion of the wheel is engaged is manufactured using a mold, and the mold is a rim of the wheel made of synthetic resin for a wheelchair. A substantially arc-shaped part that molds the mounting groove There are a plurality of divided circumferential types, and at least three of the divided circumferential types are arranged along the circumferential direction of the wheel, and each of the divided circumferential types can move forward and backward in the radial direction of the wheel. A taper shape having a core mold and a pair of arc-shaped side molds disposed on both sides of the core mold, and the core mold gradually decreases in thickness along the wheel axial direction toward the inner side in the wheel radial direction. And the side mold has a molding recess for molding the circumferential protrusion of the rim portion of the synthetic resin wheel , and the wheel is fixed to a holding base that can move forward and backward in the wheel radial direction. Along the axial direction, both sides of the core mold are urged in directions approaching each other, and an interlocking support portion is coupled to the outer side in the wheel radial direction from the molding recess , and the holding base body The hey An interlocking rod projecting inward in the radial direction is formed, and a collar head is provided at the inner tip of the interlocking rod, while an interlocking gap into which the interlocking rod is inserted is formed in the interlocking support portion. The inner surface of the interlocking gap is formed with a pressed surface that is pressed inward in the wheel radial direction by the head of the interlocking rod, and moved in the wheel radial direction in the interlocking gap. An engaging protrusion that engages with the head of the interlocking rod is provided, and the head of the interlocking rod presses the pressed surface when the holding base moves inward in the wheel radial direction. The side mold moves inward in the wheel radial direction in conjunction with the holding base, and on the other hand, when the holding base moves in the outer side in the wheel radial direction, the head of the interlocking rod is engaged with the protrusion. The side mold interlocks with the holding base by engaging with the holding base. The cavities defined by the mold are filled with synthetic resin while the divided circumferential mold is moved inward in the wheel radial direction and positioned at the advanced position. And after the filled synthetic resin has hardened, the split-periphery core mold is retracted outward in the wheel radial direction, and the side molds are retracted and moved outward in the wheel radial direction while moving the side molds closer to each other. A method for producing a wheel made of synthetic resin for a wheelchair, comprising: a step of retracting the mold, and a step of taking out the molded synthetic resin wheel after separating each divided peripheral mold from each other.

Such a manufacturing method is characterized in that a circumferential projection can be integrally formed with a pair of rim flanges that constitute a mounting groove of a rim portion, and the conventional manufacturing method could not form irregularities in the drawing direction. Accordingly, the circumferential projection can be integrally formed in the mounting groove. And the synthetic resin wheel manufactured by the manufacturing method of this invention has the outstanding advantage that it is hard to puncture even if it changes the direction of a wheelchair on the spot.

More specifically, the split circumferential mold for forming the mounting groove of the rim portion is configured to include a core mold and side molds on both sides thereof, and when the core mold moves to the retracted position, the core mold starts to retract first. With this movement, the side molds on both sides move in the approaching direction, and the molding recesses of the side molds are separated from the circumferential projections. Thereafter, as the core mold is further retracted, the side mold starts to retract, and the core mold and the side mold are detached from the mounting groove without interfering with the rim portion. Thus, by the retraction movement of the divided circumferential mold, the mounting groove (a pair of rim flanges) having a circumferential projection protruding toward the inside of the groove is easily and stably formed.

The synthetic resin wheel manufactured according to the present invention has a pair of rim flanges that form a mounting groove on which a pneumatic tire is mounted, and a circumferential protrusion that engages with the base end of the pneumatic tire. Therefore, even when the wheelchair is turned around and the pneumatic tire is twisted, puncture hardly occurs. Further, since it is made of an integrally molded synthetic resin, it is light in weight and excellent in convenience.

Also, the synthetic resin wheel manufacturing method of the present invention is such that after the synthetic resin filled in the cavity is hardened, the split circumferential core mold is retracted to the outer side in the wheel radial direction, and accordingly, the side molds are mutually connected. Since the mounting groove of the rim portion provided with the circumferential protrusion is formed by retreating while approaching, the circumferential protrusion protruding inside the groove of the mounting groove is formed smoothly and easily. be able to. Therefore, according to the manufacturing method of the present invention, it is possible to stably supply a synthetic resin wheel for a wheelchair that is difficult to puncture and is reduced in weight.

Embodiments according to the present invention will be described in detail according to the following examples.
In addition, the wheel axial direction in a present Example respond | corresponds to the direction along the rotation axis line of the synthetic resin wheels 1. The wheel radial direction corresponds to the direction along the diameter and radius of the synthetic resin wheel 1. And the wheel radial direction outer side (or outer side) corresponds to the direction away from the rotation axis of the synthetic resin wheel 1 along the wheel radial direction, and the wheel radial direction inner side (or inner side) is This corresponds to a direction approaching the rotation axis along the wheel radial direction. The wheel circumferential direction corresponds to a circumferential direction centering on the rotation axis in a virtual plane orthogonal to the rotation axis of the synthetic resin wheel 1.

A synthetic resin wheel 1 for a wheelchair according to the present embodiment is used by being attached to a wheelchair (not shown). As shown in FIG. 1, a hub portion 2 for receiving an axle (not shown) and the hub A spoke portion 3 including a plurality of spokes 6 provided radially from the outer peripheral edge of the portion 2 along the wheel radial direction, and an annular rim portion 4 provided at the outer peripheral end of the spoke portion 3 are provided. .

As shown in FIG. 2, a pneumatic tire 101 is attached to the rim portion 4 of the synthetic resin wheel 1, and a hand rim (not shown) operated by the user is attached to the spoke portion 6. It is attached. And it is used by being attached to a wheelchair.

Further, the rim portion 4 of the synthetic resin wheel 1 is formed with a pair of rim flanges 11, 11 which face each other along the wheel axial direction, and a pneumatic tire is interposed between the pair of rim flanges 11, 11. A mounting groove 15 for mounting 101 is formed along the rim flange 11.

Further, circumferential protrusions 13 and 13 projecting inward of the mounting groove 15 are formed on the front edge of the pair of rim flanges 11 and 11 in the wheel circumferential direction. It should be noted that the lateral width (width along the wheel radial direction) and the protruding height (height along the wheel axial direction) of the circumferential protrusion 13 can be easily attached to the pneumatic tire 101 and easily detached. The dimensions and shapes are set as appropriate so as not to streak.

More specifically, when a pneumatic tire 101 having a structure including bead portions (base end portions) 103 and 103 at the inner peripheral ends of the pair of sidewall portions 102 and 102 is used, the bead portion 103 is used. However, the pneumatic tire 101 is held by being engaged with the circumferential protrusions 13 and 13 in the mounting groove 15 of the rim portion 4, respectively.

In such a configuration, when the wheelchair made of the synthetic resin wheel 1 to which the pneumatic tire 101 is mounted is used, for example, even if the pneumatic tire 101 is twisted by changing its direction on the spot, the circumferential protrusion Since the bead portion 103 of the pneumatic tire 101 is held by the portions 13, 13, it is difficult to puncture.

As a synthetic resin for forming the synthetic resin wheel 1, for example, a polyamide resin, a polybutylene terephthalate resin, or a polycarbonate resin can be applied. Further, whisker such as glass fiber or carbon fiber is added to the resin. It may be a fiber reinforced resin. Since the synthetic resin wheel 1 is lighter than those made of steel or aluminum, the burden on the user can be reduced when the wheel is mounted on a wheelchair, and convenience is greatly improved.

Next, a method for manufacturing the above-described synthetic resin wheel 1 will be described.
In this embodiment, the synthetic resin wheel 1 is manufactured by injection molding. More specifically, in this injection molding, as shown in FIG. 3 and the like, a mold 21 including an upper mold 22, a lower mold 23, and three divided peripheral molds 24 is used. A cavity 26 for molding the synthetic resin wheel 1 is formed by the lower mold 23 and the divided peripheral mold 24. The hub portion 2, the spoke portion 3, and the main portion of the rim portion 4 of the synthetic resin wheel 1 are formed by the upper die 22 and the lower die 23.

The upper mold 22 is provided so as to move up and down along the wheel axis direction. Specifically, the upper mold 22 moves to the retracted position by moving the position where the cavity 26 is formed from the advanced position and ascending from the advanced position. On the other hand, the lower mold 23 is fixed at a predetermined position facing the upper mold 22.

On the other hand, the three divided circumferential dies 24 form the mounting groove 15 of the rim portion 4 and are respectively divided into three in the wheel circumferential direction (see FIG. 3). Each divided circumferential die 24 is provided so as to move forward and backward along the wheel radial direction. As shown in FIG. 4, the position where the cavity 26 of the synthetic resin wheel 1 is formed is the advanced position. (Refer to FIG. 4a), and when retracted from the advanced position to the outside in the wheel radial direction, the retracted position (see FIG. 4b) is reached.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 5 and the like, the divided circumferential mold 24 includes an arc-shaped core mold 31 in plan view, and a pair of arc-shaped side molds 32 and 32 disposed adjacent to the core mold 31. And a holding base 33 for holding the core mold 31.

Here, as shown in FIG. 5, the core mold 31 is configured by a member whose thickness gradually increases from the inner end toward the outer side in the wheel radial direction and whose cross-sectional shape is substantially wedge-shaped. Yes. And the outer peripheral surface is provided with the inner end surface 42 and the sliding inclined surfaces 41 and 41 symmetrical on both sides in the wheel axial direction. The core mold 31 is fixed to the holding base 33 and moves integrally with the holding base 33.

The side molds 32 are slidably disposed on both sides of the core mold 31 in the wheel axial direction. More specifically, the side mold 32 includes a groove forming portion 51 that forms the mounting groove 15 of the rim portion 4 and an interlocking support portion 52 that is coupled to the outer side in the wheel radial direction of the groove forming portion 51. .

More specifically, the groove forming portion 51 includes an inner end surface 54 that is flush with the inner end surface 42 of the core mold 31, and an inner molded surface 55 that extends outward from the inner end surface 54 in the wheel radial direction. The molding recess 56 is formed on the inner molding surface 55 along the circumferential direction of the wheel. Further, the side mold 32 includes a sliding surface 57 that contacts the sliding inclined surface 41 of the core mold 31. The sliding surfaces 57 of the side molds 32 and 32 are in surface contact with the sliding inclined surfaces 41 and 41 of the core mold 31, respectively, and the side molds 32 and 32 approach each other by a biasing spring (not shown). And the core mold 31 is sandwiched between the core molds 31.

The side mold 32 is provided with a guide mechanism (not shown), and can be moved in the same direction as the moving direction of the core mold 31 (including the holding base 33) by the guide action of the guide mechanism. ing.

As shown in FIG. 6 and the like, the holding base 33 is formed with interlocking rods 61 and 61 at both side positions along the wheel axis direction in the core mold 31. The interlocking rod 61 protrudes inward in the wheel radial direction, and a wide rod head 62 is provided at the inner tip.

On the other hand, an interlocking gap 65 into which the interlocking rod 61 is inserted is formed in the interlocking support portion 52 of the side mold 32 described above. On the inner peripheral surface of the interlocking gap 65, a pressed surface 66 is formed that is pressed inward in the wheel radial direction by the collar head 62 of the interlocking rod 61 inserted into the interlocking gap 65. Further, in the interlocking gap 65, an engaging projection 67 is provided that engages with the head 62 of the interlocking rod 61 that has moved outward in the wheel radial direction.

That is, when the holding base 33 moves toward the inner side in the wheel radial direction, the side mold 32 is interlocked with the holding base 33 by the pressing head 66 of the interlocking head 61 pressing the pressed surface 66. And move inward in the wheel radial direction. On the other hand, when the holding base body 33 moves outward in the wheel radial direction, the side head 32 and the holding base body 33 are engaged by engaging the hook head 62 of the interlocking rod 61 with the engaging protrusion 67. The wheel moves in conjunction with the wheel radially outward (see FIG. 6). The interlocking rod 61 of the holding base 33, the pressed surface 66 of the side mold 32, and the engaging protrusion 67 constitute an interlocking mechanism for moving the side mold 32 forward and backward along the wheel radial direction. Yes.

The mold 21 is connected to a drive device (not shown) for moving the upper mold 22 up and down along the wheel axis direction, and the divided circumferential molds 24 are moved forward and backward along the wheel radial direction. A driving device (not shown) is also connected. A control device (not shown) for driving and controlling these drive devices is also installed as appropriate.

Next, the molding process of the synthetic resin wheel 1 using the above-described mold 21 will be described.

The upper die 22 of the mold 21 is moved down to the advanced position, and the three divided peripheral dies 24 are moved inward in the wheel radial direction to be advanced positions (see FIG. 4a). A cavity 26 is defined by 23 and three divided peripheral dies 24 (see FIG. 5).

Here, in a state where the divided peripheral mold 24 is located at the advanced position, the inner end face 42 of the core mold 31 and the inner end faces 54 and 54 of the side molds 32 and 32 on both sides thereof are flush with each other, and the required cavity 26 is obtained. Is formed. A predetermined release agent is applied to the required surfaces of the molds 22, 23, and 24 to make it easy to remove the synthetic resin wheel 1 from the mold 21 after the resin is cured.

Next, the cavity 26 is filled with a synthetic resin. In this step, the synthetic resin melted by heating to a predetermined temperature is injected into the cavity 26 with a predetermined injection pressure, and the above-described synthetic resin is filled. In addition, the filling process according to the present invention is configured by the process of filling the cavity 26 with the synthetic resin.

Next, after the synthetic resin filled in the cavity 26 is cured, a step of opening the upper mold 22 and the divided peripheral mold 24 is executed. Specifically, the upper die 22 is moved up (retracted) from the advanced position, and the three divided peripheral dies 24 are moved away from each other in the wheel radial direction as shown in FIG. Here, as shown in FIG. 6B, the core mold 31 fixed to the holding base 33 starts to retreat integrally with the holding base 33, while the side molds 32 arranged on both sides of the core mold 31 are provided. 32 remains in the advanced position without retreating. This is due to the fact that the interlocking rods 61, 61 of the holding base body 33 can retreat without interfering in the interlocking gaps 65, 65 provided in the interlocking support portions 52, 52 of the side molds 32, 32.

Then, the side molds 32, 32 move in a direction approaching each other as the core mold 31 is retracted. By such a movement mode, the molding concave portions 56 and 56 of the side molds 32 and 32 are detached from the circumferential protrusions 13 and 13 of the rim portion 4. After that, as shown in FIG. 7 a, the hooks of the interlocking rods 61, 61 moved in the interlocking gaps 65, 65 to the engagement protrusions 67, 67 provided on the interlocking support portions 52, 52 of the side molds 32, 32. The heads 62 and 62 are engaged, and the side molds 32 and 32 start to retract together with the holding base bodies 33 and 33 via the interlocking rods 61 and 61. As a result, as shown in FIG. 7 b, the core mold 31 and the side molds 32, 32 on both sides of the core mold 31 are integrally retracted and are preferably detached from the mounting groove 15 of the rim portion 4. The mold retracting process according to the present invention is configured by the process of retracting and moving the upper mold 22 and the divided peripheral mold 24 after the synthetic resin is cured.

Then, after the upper mold 22 and the divided circumferential mold 24 are retreated, a step of taking out the synthetic resin wheel 1 molded by the mold 21 is performed. This process constitutes the take-out process according to the present invention.

According to this manufacturing method, the circumferential projection 13 of the mounting groove 15 can be molded stably and easily. That is, according to the manufacturing method, the integrally molded synthetic resin wheel 1 provided with the circumferential protrusion 13 of the mounting groove 15 can be stably supplied.

In this invention, it is not limited to the Example mentioned above, About another structure, it can change suitably within the range of the meaning of this invention.
