Description

本件は、固体電解質構造体、及びその製造方法、並びに全固体電池に関する。   The present case relates to a solid electrolyte structure, a manufacturing method thereof, and an all-solid battery.

電池には、高容量、高出力、及び高安全性が求められる。前記電池は、センサーなどの作動に用いられることがある。前記センサーは、人体の中、又はその近くに取り付けられることがあるため、前記電池の安全性については、特に細心の注意を払わなければならない。   The battery is required to have high capacity, high output, and high safety. The battery may be used for operation of a sensor or the like. Since the sensor may be mounted in or near the human body, special attention must be paid to the safety of the battery.

固体電解質を使用した全固体電池は、使用される各材料が熱的に安定であること、及び電解質−電極間の界面での副反応が抑制されることにより、従来のリチウムイオン電池よりも、安全性が高いと考えられている。   The all solid state battery using the solid electrolyte is more stable than the conventional lithium ion battery because each material used is thermally stable and side reactions at the interface between the electrolyte and the electrode are suppressed. It is considered safe.

しかし、固体電解質のリチウムイオン伝導度は、一般的に、従来の電解液のリチウムイオン伝導度よりも低い。そのため、リチウムイオン伝導度の高い固体電解質が求められている。   However, the lithium ion conductivity of solid electrolytes is generally lower than the lithium ion conductivity of conventional electrolytes. Therefore, a solid electrolyte having a high lithium ion conductivity is required.

Li 3x La 2 / 3x TiO 3 (0 ≦ x ≦ 1/6), Li 7 La 3 Zr 2 O 12, Li 1 + y Al y Ti 2-y (PO 4) 3 (0 ≦ y ≦ 1), Li 1 + z Al z Ge 2-z (PO 4 ) 3 (0 ≦ z ≦ 1) has a high lithium ion conductivity of around 10 −4 S / cm, and is a promising candidate as a solid electrolyte for an all-solid-state battery. ing.
However, in order to obtain lithium ion conductivity of around 10 −4 S / cm, these require sintering (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This has the problem of requiring significant power and equipment costs.
When producing an all-solid battery, in order to reduce the interface resistance between the electrolyte and the electrode, it is effective to perform so-called integral sintering in which the positive electrode, the solid electrolyte, and the negative electrode are sintered together. However, Li 3x La 2 / 3x TiO 3 as the solid electrolyte (0 ≦ x ≦ 1/6 ), Li 7 La 3 Zr 2 O 12, Li 1 + y Al y Ti 2-y (PO 4) 3 (0 ≦ When y ≦ 1) and Li 1 + z Al z Ge 2−z (PO 4 ) 3 (0 ≦ z ≦ 1), the integral sintering is performed at the sintering temperature (for example, 1,250 ° C.). There is a need to do. Therefore, a positive electrode and a negative electrode that do not melt and decompose at a sintering temperature (for example, 1,250 ° C.) must be used, and there is a problem that the range of material selection is narrowed.

そこで、焼結を必要とせずに作製できる固体電解質、及び全固体電池が提案されている(例えば、特許文献2参照)。しかし、この提案の技術では、リチウムイオン伝導度が十分なレベルではないという問題がある。   Therefore, a solid electrolyte and an all-solid battery that can be manufactured without requiring sintering have been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 2). However, this proposed technique has a problem that the lithium ion conductivity is not sufficient.

したがって、低い温度で製造でき、かつ高いリチウムイオン伝導度を有する固体電解質構造体、及び高いリチウムイオン伝導度を有する固体電解質構造体を低温で製造できる固体電解質構造体の製造方法、並びに低い温度で製造でき、かつ高い出力を得ることができる全固体電池が求められているのが現状である。   Therefore, a solid electrolyte structure that can be manufactured at a low temperature and has a high lithium ion conductivity, a method for manufacturing a solid electrolyte structure that can manufacture a solid electrolyte structure having a high lithium ion conductivity at a low temperature, and a low temperature At present, there is a demand for an all-solid-state battery that can be manufactured and can obtain a high output.

(固体電解質構造体)
開示の固体電解質構造体は、母体粒子と、アモルファス酸化物膜とを少なくとも含有し、更に必要に応じて、その他の成分を含有する。
(Solid electrolyte structure)
The disclosed solid electrolyte structure contains at least base particles and an amorphous oxide film, and further contains other components as necessary.

固体電解質のイオン伝導には、2種類の経路がある。そのうち1つは、電解質粒子のバルクを通る経路であり、もう一つは、電解質粒子と電解質粒子との界面、いわゆる粒界を通る経路である。このうち、固体電解質の全体のリチウムイオン伝導を律速するのは、後者の粒界を通る経路である。   There are two types of paths in the ionic conduction of the solid electrolyte. One of them is a path through the bulk of the electrolyte particles, and the other is a path through the interface between the electrolyte particles and the electrolyte particles, so-called grain boundaries. Of these, it is the path through the latter grain boundary that determines the overall lithium ion conduction of the solid electrolyte.

The inventors focused on the fact that it is the path through the grain boundary that determines the overall lithium ion conduction of the solid electrolyte. And as a result of intensive studies, the inventors do not require sintering when forming the solid electrolyte layer by including the base particles and the amorphous oxide film on the surface of the base particles. Furthermore, it has been found that a solid electrolyte structure having high lithium ion conductivity can be obtained.
This is because the amorphous oxide film having lithium ion conductivity exists in the gaps (voids) between the particles of the base particles, and the amorphous oxide film assists ion conduction in the gaps. This is probably because of this.

<母体粒子>
前記母体粒子は、Li3xLa2/3−xTiO(0≦x≦1/6)(以下、「LLTO」と称することがある。)、LiLaZr12(以下、「LLZO」と称することがある。)、Li1+yAlTi2−y(PO(0≦y≦1)、及びLi1+zAlGe2−z(PO(0≦z≦1)のいずれかの粒子である。
これらは、リチウムイオン伝導度が良好な固体電解質として知られている材料である。前記母体粒子は、結晶質である。

The amorphous oxide film is formed on the surface of the base particle.
In the solid electrolyte structure, the amorphous oxide film may not cover the entire base particle.
When the solid electrolyte structure is formed by forming the amorphous oxide film on the surface of the base particle in a green compact prepared by compacting the base particle, the amorphous oxide film is It is not necessary to be formed on the surface of all the base particles in the green compact. Moreover, it is not necessary to cover the whole base particle.

前記パルスレーザーデポシション法は、例えば、Pioneer 240 PLD System(NEOCERA社製)を用いて行うことができる。レーザー源としては、例えば、KrF excimer laser(LAMBDA PHYSIK社製)を用いることができる。パルス数は、例えば、10Hz〜20Hzである。出力は、150mJ/pulse〜200mJ/pulseが好ましい。   The pulse laser deposition method can be performed using, for example, a Pioneer 240 PLD System (manufactured by NEOCERA). As the laser source, for example, KrF excimer laser (manufactured by LAMBDA PHYSIK) can be used. The number of pulses is, for example, 10 Hz to 20 Hz. The output is preferably 150 mJ / pulse to 200 mJ / pulse.

前記スパッタリング法は、例えば、株式会社共立の粉体スパッタリング装置を用いて行うことができる。成膜時の酸素欠陥の生成を防ぐために、酸素プラズマ中で成膜することが好ましい。また、出力は、70W〜140Wが好ましい。   The sputtering method can be performed using, for example, a powder sputtering apparatus manufactured by Kyoritsu Co., Ltd. In order to prevent the generation of oxygen defects during film formation, it is preferable to form the film in oxygen plasma. The output is preferably 70W to 140W.

For example, when the material of the amorphous oxide film is Li 3x La 2 / 3-x TiO 3 (0 ≦ x ≦ 1/6), the sol-gel method can be performed as follows. 0.27 g titanium, 0.062 g Li 2 CO 3 , 0.52 g La 2 O 3 are used as starting materials. First, titanium is dissolved in a mixed solution of 20 mL of 30% by mass hydrogen peroxide and 5 mL of 35% by mass aqueous ammonia at room temperature. Thereafter, 19.2 g of citric acid is added to the solution. La 2 O 3 and Li 2 CO 3 are dissolved in a 30% by mass nitric acid aqueous solution. After mixing these two solutions until homogeneous, 25 g of ethylene glycol is added and heat treatment is performed at 150 ° C. and 350 ° C. to obtain a precursor. The precursor thus obtained is mixed with 6.4 g of crystalline LLTO powder, heat-treated at 600 ° C., and rapidly cooled. By pulverizing the product with an agate mortar, a solid electrolyte powder having an LLTO amorphous film formed on the surface can be produced.

前記固体電解質構造体を作製する工程としては、前記固体電解質粉末を圧粉して、固体電解質構造体を作製する工程であれば、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができる。
圧粉する際の圧力としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができるが、1MPa〜100MPaが好ましく、10MPa〜50MPaがより好ましく、20MPa〜40MPaが特に好ましい。
<< Process for Producing Solid Electrolyte Structure >>
The step of producing the solid electrolyte structure is not particularly limited as long as it is a step of producing the solid electrolyte structure by compacting the solid electrolyte powder, and can be appropriately selected according to the purpose.
There is no restriction | limiting in particular as a pressure at the time of compacting, Although it can select suitably according to the objective, 1 MPa-100 MPa are preferable, 10 MPa-50 MPa are more preferable, and 20 MPa-40 MPa are especially preferable.

An example of the first embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings.
1A to 1C are schematic views for explaining an example of the first embodiment.
First, base particles 1 are prepared (FIG. 1A).
Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 1B, an amorphous oxide film 2 is formed on the surface of the base particle 1 to produce a solid electrolyte powder 3. In FIG. 1B, an amorphous oxide film 2 is formed on the entire surface of each base particle 1.
Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 1C, the solid electrolyte powder 3 is compacted and formed into a layered shape to produce a solid electrolyte structure.

The amorphous body has a weak bond between the constituent atoms compared to the crystal body. Therefore, the amorphous body is more brittle than the crystalline body. Therefore, when the solid electrolyte powder 3 having the amorphous oxide film 2 formed on the surface of the base particle 1 is compacted, excess amorphous oxide is scraped off by the frictional force between the individual solid electrolyte powders 3 applied during compaction. it is conceivable that. As a result, the solid electrolyte powder 3 in which the amorphous oxide film 2 is formed on the surface of the base particle 1 has a larger contact area between the powders and has better grain boundaries than when the solid electrolyte powder is made of only crystals. It is thought that can be formed.

<< Process for Producing Solid Electrolyte Structure >>

It can be appropriately selected according to the purpose, and examples thereof include a pulse laser deposition method, a sputtering method, a sol-gel method, and an immersion method. Among these, the pulse laser deposition method, the sputtering method, and the sol-gel method are preferable in that the amorphous oxide film can be formed with high accuracy.
Specific examples of the pulse laser deposition method, the sputtering method, and the sol-gel method include the same specific examples as those described in the first embodiment.

前記固体電解質構造体を作製する工程において作製された前記固体電解質構造体が層状の場合、前記固体電解質構造体は、全固体電池の製造において、単独で用いてもよいし、2以上を積層して用いてもよい。   When the solid electrolyte structure produced in the step of producing the solid electrolyte structure is layered, the solid electrolyte structure may be used alone in the production of an all-solid battery, or two or more may be laminated. まず、母体粒子1を圧粉して圧粉体4を得る(図2A)。

Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 2B, the amorphous oxide film 2 is formed on the surface of the base particle 1 in the green compact 4, and the solid electrolyte structure 5 is manufactured.

In the step of producing the solid electrolyte structure, the amorphous oxide film is formed not only on the surface of the green compact but also on the inside. The green compact has voids of about 50% of the apparent volume. Through this void, an amorphous oxide film is also formed inside the green compact. The amorphous oxide film enters the grain boundaries of the base particles, thereby assisting ion conduction at the grain boundaries and contributing to improvement of the overall lithium ion conductivity. The average thickness of the green compact is preferably 1 mm or less, and more preferably 0.1 mm to 1 mm, from the viewpoint of excellent ion conduction assist effect.
