Description
本発明の他の一実施形態によれば、前記電池モジュールを単位モジュールとして含む電池パックを提供する。
本発明のさらに他の一実施形態によれば、前記電池パックを含むデバイスを提供する。
一方、前記電池セル単位体200において、図1及び図2に示すように、前記電池セル100の外周面には固定部材210が位置する。
また、前記電池セル単位体200において、前記電池セル100の外周面と固定部材210との間には吸熱材220が位置する。
具体的に、前記吸熱材220は水(H2O)及びシリカを含む。
前記水は、不純物を含まない純粋な水が副反応の恐れがないので好ましい。
前記電池パックは、所望の出力及び容量に応じ、単位モジュールとして前記電池モジュールを組み合わせて製造されてよい。前記電池パックは、取付けの効率性及び構造的安定性などを考慮すると、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、電力貯蔵装置などの電源として用いられてよいが、適用範囲がこれらのみに限られるものではない。
前記デバイスは具体的に、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車または電力貯蔵装置であり得る。このようなデバイスの構造及び製作方法は当業界に公知となっているので、本明細書ではそれに対する詳しい説明を省略する。
図1から図4でのような構造を有する電池モジュールを製造した。
詳しくは、負極活物質として、人造黒鉛97重量%、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)1.5重量%、スチレン-ブタジエンゴム(SBR)バインダー1.5重量%を、水とエタノールの混合溶媒(水とエタノールの混合体積比=90:10)に添加して水系負極スラリーを製造した後、銅(Cu)箔上にコーティングし、乾燥し、圧延して負極を製造した。
電池セル単位体を3つ積層することを除き、前記実施例1と同一の方法で行って電池モジュールを製造した。
電池セル単位体(Cell #1、2、3、4、5、6)の積層時、積層される電池セルの間ごとに吸熱材を塗布し、電池セル単位体が隣接する電池セル単位体と互いに対面する面の間に吸熱材をさらに形成することを除き、前記実施例1と同一の方法で行って電池モジュールを製造した。
電池セルの外周面に吸熱材を形成せず、電池セル単位体を5つ積層することを除き、前記実施例1と同一の方法で行って電池モジュールを製造した。
前記実施例1及び比較例で製造した電池モジュールに対し、釘が3つの電池セル単位体を貫通するようにする釘刺し試験(nail test)を行った。その結果を図5及び図6に示した。

Claims (17)
- 1以上の電池セル単位体を備えた電池モジュールであって、
前記電池セル単位体が、電池セルと、固定部材と、吸熱材とを備えてなり、
前記固定部材が、前記電池セルの外周面の一部又は全部と結合し、前記電池セルを固定するものであり、及び、
前記吸熱材が、前記電池セルの外周面と前記固定部材との間に位置するものである、電池モジュール。 - 前記電池モジュールが2以上の電池セル単位体を備えてなり、
前記電池セル単位体が、隣接する電池セル単位体と互いに対面する面の間に吸熱材をさらに備えてなるものである、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。 - 前記電池モジュールが2以上の電池セル単位体を備えてなり、
前記電池セル単位体が、隣接する電池セル単位体と互いに対面する面の間に吸熱材を介在した状態で互いに接触しているものである、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。 - 前記電池セルが板状電池セルであり、
前記電池モジュールが2以上の電池セル単位体を備えてなり、
前記板状電池セルの一方の面又は両面が、隣接する電池セル単位体での電池セルに対面するように積層配置されているものである、請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。 - 前記板状電池セルが、樹脂層及び金属層が順次積層されたラミネートシートのケース及び前記ケース内に内蔵された電極組立体を備えてなり、
前記ケースの外周面が、密封されたパウチ型電池セルである、請求項4に記載の電池モジュール。 - 前記密封されたパウチ型電池セルの外周面を囲むように前記固定部材が一体に結合されている、請求項5に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記電池セルの外周面の一方の側に正極端子及び負極端子が突出されているか、又は前記電池セルの外周面の一方の側に正極端子が突出しており、その対向側に負極端子が突出している、請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記正極端子及び前記負極端子を除いた電池セルの外周面全部に前記固定部材が一体に結合されている、請求項7に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記固定部材が、ゴム又はプラスチックを含むものである、請求項1〜8の何れか一項に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記固定部材が、シリコーン系樹脂又は熱可塑性ポリウレタンを含むものである、請求項1〜9の何れか一項に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記吸熱材が、水及びシリカを含むものである、請求項1〜10の何れか一項に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記吸熱材が、75重量%から95重量%の水、及び
5重量%から25重量%のシリカを含んでなる、請求項11に記載の電池モジュール。 - 前記シリカが、石英(Quartz)、トリディマイト(Tridymite)、及びクリストバライト(Cristobalite)からなる群から選択される一種以上のものを含んでなる、請求項11又は12に記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記電池セルがリチウム二次電池である、請求項1〜13の何れか一項に記載の電池モジュール。
- 単位モジュールとして、請求項1〜14の何れか一項に記載の電池モジュールを備えてなる、電池パック。
- 請求項15に記載の電池パックを備えてなる、デバイス。
- 前記デバイスが、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、及び電力貯蔵装置からなる群から選択されるものである、請求項16に記載のデバイス。
