More specifically, the present invention relates to a developer conveying roller, a developing device, and an image forming apparatus that are excellent in chargeability and abrasion resistance to the developer.
Various printers such as laser printers and video printers, copiers, facsimiles, and multi-function machines of these types employ various image forming apparatuses using an electrophotographic system, for example.

As such a developer supply means 43, an elastic roller having a silicone coat layer made of a silicone cured material such as silicone rubber is known.
For example, Patent Document 1 states that “a cured silicone layer having a hardness of 30 or less is formed on a roll shaft, and a cured silicone layer having a hardness higher than the hardness of the cured silicone product is formed thereon. "Characterized silicone coating roll" is described (claim 1 etc.).

By the way, in order to form a high quality image with the image forming apparatus when an elastic roller is employed as the developer supply means 43, the developer charged from the
Further, since the developer supply means 43 is arranged so as to be in pressure contact with the

The developer carrying roller according to the present invention includes a foamed elastic layer and a silicone coating layer disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the foamed elastic layer and including a methylphenyl silicone resin and an aminosilane coupling agent. In addition to excellent abrasion to the body, the developer held on the outer peripheral surface can be charged to a desired charge amount. The developing device and the image forming apparatus according to the present invention include the developer transport roller according to the present invention. The developer transport roller according to the present invention includes a foamed elastic layer and a silicone coating layer disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the foamed elastic layer and including a methylphenyl silicone resin and an aminosilane coupling agent. This silicone coat layer can be formed, for example, by curing a resin composition containing a methylphenyl silicone resin and an aminosilane coupling agent on the outer peripheral surface of the foamed elastic layer.
The developer conveying roller according to the present invention will be described together with the developer conveying roller 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 as an example.
The developer conveying roller 1 includes a
By the way,
For example, when the developer conveying roller 1 is placed on a copper plate with a load of 200 to 600 g applied to the developer conveying roller, the conduction resistance between the silicone coating layer in contact with the copper plate and the shaft body is 1 × 10 3 to 1. It has electrical characteristics of × 10 6 Ω. When the developer conveying roller 1 has a conduction resistance in the above range, good printing characteristics can be obtained. For example, an electrical resistance meter (trade name: ULTRA HIGH RESISTANCE METER R8340A, manufactured by Advantest Co., Ltd.) is used for the conduction resistance, the developer transport roller 1 is placed horizontally, the thickness is 5 mm, the width is 30 mm, and the developer. A copper plate having a length on which the entire
The
As shown in FIG. 1, the foamed
The average cell diameter of the
The expansion ratio of the foamed elastic layer is preferably 300 to 450%, particularly preferably 330 to 410%. When the expansion ratio of the foamed elastic layer is within the above range, the foamed
The density of the foamed elastic layer is preferably 0.08~0.20 (g / cm 3), particularly preferably from 0.11~0.17 (g / cm 3). When the density is within the above range, the effect of the present invention can be further enhanced. The density of the foamed elastic layer can be measured with an electron density meter (water displacement method, water temperature 23 ° C.).
The foamed
As described above, the foamed
The conductivity imparting agent is basically the same as the conductivity imparting agent contained in the composition to be described later, and the content of the conductivity imparting agent in the foamed

M is an integer of 0 to 2, and is preferably 0 or 1 and particularly preferably 0 in that the curing rate of the aminosilane coupling agent is high and desired properties can be exhibited. .
Examples of the aminosilane coupling agent represented by the above formula include 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, 3-aminopropylethyldiethoxysilane, 3- Aminopropyldimethylethoxysilane, 3-aminopropylmethyldiethoxysilane, N-2- (aminoethyl) -3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N-2- (aminoethyl) -3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane N-2- (aminoethyl) -3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, N, N-dimethylaminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N, N-diethylaminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N, N-dipropylaminopropyltrimethoxysilane , N, N-di Tylaminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N-monobutylaminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N, N-dioctylaminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N, N-dibutylaminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane, N, N-dibutylaminopropyldimethylmonomethoxysilane 3-triethoxysilyl-N- (1,3-dimethyl-butylidene) propylamine, N, N-dimethylaminophenyltrimethoxysilane, trimethoxysilyl-3-propylphenylamine, trimethoxysilyl-3-propylbenzyl Examples include amine, trimethoxysilyl-3-propylpiperidine, trimethoxysilyl-3-propylmorpholine, trimethoxysilyl-3-propylimidazole and the like.
The content of the aminosilane coupling agent in this resin composition is preferably 1 to 10 parts by mass, particularly preferably 1 to 3 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the methylphenyl silicone resin. If the content of the aminosilane coupling agent is less than 1 part by mass, the effect of containing the aminosilane coupling agent cannot be sufficiently exhibited, and the chargeability and wear resistance may not be improved. On the other hand, when the content of the aminosilane coupling agent exceeds 10 parts by mass, tackiness is generated on the roller surface, and the releasability of the developer on the roller surface may be lowered.
The conductivity imparting agent is basically the same as the conductivity imparting agent of the foamed
The conductivity imparting agent may be contained alone in the

The hardness can be adjusted to the above range.
Since the developer conveying roller 1 has the above-described configuration, it is difficult to be worn even if it is rotationally driven together with the developer carrier and has excellent wear resistance, and the developer held on the
