Description
Claims (21)
- 流体およびガスの流れから微粒子を濾過するためのフィルタであって、
円筒状のフィルタエレメントであり、該フィルタエレメントを通過する流体流れに応じて材料を濾過し、該フィルタエレメントが長手方向軸線と上端部および下端部とを有する、フィルタエレメントと、
前記フィルタエレメントの一端に固定される液密なシールを形成するエンドキャップと、
前記フィルタエレメントを円筒形態に保持するべく張力下で複数の隣り合う巻回部を形成するように前記フィルタエレメントの周囲に螺旋状に巻き付けられた多孔質の包囲体であり、該包囲体が、前記エンドキャップに取り付けるための外層と、前記フィルタエレメントの両側間の圧力降下により発生される径方向外側に向かう力に抵抗するための内層とを備え、前記内層が、前記外層よりも幅が狭い平行な縁部を有し、該包囲体が、前記外層および前記内層が前記エンドキャップに取り付けられ得るように配置された2つの端部を有し、前記内層がポリフェニレンストリップ又はポリブチレンテレフタレートストリップを備える、包囲体と、
を備えるフィルタ。 - 前記外層が、1インチ(25.4mm)の少なくとも50000分の1だけ前記エンドキャップ内に挿入されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記外層が、1インチ(25.4mm)の少なくとも100000分の1だけ前記エンドキャップ内に挿入されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層が、前記フィルタエレメントを横切る内側流出により引き起こされる圧力降下に耐えるために少なくとも約3000000psi(20684MPa)の弾性率を有する、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層が、前記フィルタエレメントを横切る内側流出により引き起こされる圧力降下に耐えるために少なくとも約12000000psi(82737MPa)の弾性率を有する、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記フィルタエレメントが、第1の側および第2の側を有する少なくとも1つのフィルタメディアと、前記フィルタメディアの前記第1の側に配置された第1の排出層と、前記フィルタメディアの前記第2の側に配置された第2の排出層とを備える、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記上流側排出層および前記下流側排出層のうちの少なくとも一方が高分子メッシュを備える、請求項6に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記上流側排出層および前記下流側排出層のうちの少なくとも一方が押出高分子メッシュまたは織り高分子メッシュを備える、請求項6に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層がポリフェニレンストリップを備え、前記ポリフェニレンストリップが炭素繊維で補強されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記ポリフェニレンストリップが最大で約60重量%の含有量の炭素繊維で補強されている、請求項9に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層がポリフェニレンストリップを備え、前記ポリフェニレンストリップがガラス繊維で補強されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記ポリフェニレンストリップが最大で約70重量%のガラス繊維で補強されている、請求項11に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層がポリブチレンテレフタレートストリップを備え、前記ポリブチレンテレフタレートストリップが炭素繊維またはガラス繊維のうちのいずれか一方で補強されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記外層が前記内層に付着されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層が、前記内層と前記外層との間に貼り付けられる両面接着テープによって前記外層に付着されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層が、前記内層と前記外層との間に塗布されるホットメルト接着剤によって前記外層に付着されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層が、前記内層と前記外層とを超音波スポット溶着することによって前記外層に付着されている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記包囲体が、該包囲体の隣り合う巻回部間に隙間を形成し、その隙間が前記内層の幅よりも大きくならないようになっている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記外層の幅が前記内層の幅の2倍である、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記外層の幅が前記内層の幅の2倍であり、前記包囲体が、該包囲体の隣り合う巻回部間に隙間を形成し、その隙間が前記内層の幅よりも大きくならないようになっている、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記内層の縁部から次の隣り合う前記内層の縁までの距離が、前記内層の幅の約2倍である、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
