Description
[4]車両アプリケーションのための代替的な載荷表面として、軽量補強複合材料が検討されている。しかしながら、従来の複合材料は、制限された延性(高いもろさ)を有する傾向があり、低い耐衝撃性を示しているので、車両又は他の載荷アプリケーションにおける長期の使用のために必要な頑丈性を示していない。したがって、商業的又は産業的アプリケーションのために必要な耐衝撃性及び強靭性を提供するように、複合材料から形成される構造物の設計の改善が、重量を低減し且つ燃費を改善しつつ、耐荷重または非耐荷重アプリケーションの両方のための構造物の長期の耐久性を改善するために、高く望まれる。
[104]別のひだ設計の各々に衝撃試験が実施される。衝撃試験は、炭素繊維補強複合材料の細長い頂部ひだ(例えば、46)の(図2−4,5A,及び6Aの各々に示されるような)中心Cに衝撃力を、0.5インチ(約1.27センチメートル)のストライカーで且つ上述した試験で加えることを含む。波形表面領域42を有する材料の一部が試験台に固定される。ストライカーは、丸又は半球状の、端部又は先端を有する0.5インチ(約1.27センチメートル)の直径の円柱ロッドである。ひだをストライカーで打つときに印加されるエネルギー(E=F*d)の総量を増加させるために、力及び/又は距離が増加される。亀裂がひだに形成されるまで、エネルギーが増加される。第1の亀裂に印加される平均エネルギーが比較のために記録される。以下の表は、数字の各々のための衝撃試験の結果を示す。
Claims (25)
- 車両のための耐衝撃性部品であって、
支持構造物であって、そこに形成される複数の細長い頂部を有し、前記複数の細長い頂部の各々は、それぞれ、載荷可能な波形表面を形成するために隣接する前記複数の細長い頂部から所定の間隔で離間し、前記支持構造物は複合材料を有する、支持構造物と、
前記複数の細長い頂部に設けられ、所定の周期性を画定する複数の突起と、を有し、前記支持構造物は、耐衝撃性であり且つ第1側部及び第2反対側部を有し、
前記第1側部は上面であり、前記第2反対側部は下面であり、
前記複数の突起は、
(i)前記第1側部の前記上面は滑らかである一方、前記第2反対側部の前記下面に、
又は(ii)前記第1側部の前記上面及び前記第2反対側部の前記下面の両方に、
設けられる、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項1に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記複数の突起は、前記第1側部又は前記第2反対側部に、概して周期的な形状で設けられる、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項1に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記複合材料は、ポリマー及び炭素繊維を有する繊維補強複合材料である、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項3に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記複合材料は、約20GPa以上約30GPa以下のヤング係数(E)を有する、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項1に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記支持構造物は、ガスタンク保護シールド、ボディー底面シールド、構造パネル、内部床面、フロアパン、屋根、外部表面、貯蔵領域、グローブボックス、コンソールボックス、トランク、トランク床面、トラックベッド、及びそれらの組み合わせ、からなる群から選択される、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項1に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記複数の突起は、さらに、前記複数の細長い頂部のそれぞれの細長い頂部間の領域に配置される、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項1に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記複数の突起は、こぶを有する、耐衝撃性部品。 - 車両のための耐衝撃性部品であって、
支持構造物であって、そこに形成される複数の細長い頂部を有し、細長い頂部の各々は、それぞれ、上壁及び2つの側壁を有し、前記複数の細長い頂部の各々は、それぞれ、載荷可能な波形表面を形成するために隣接する前記複数の細長い頂部から所定の間隔で離間し、前記支持構造物は、ポリマー及び炭素繊維を有する繊維補強複合材料を有する、支持構造物を有し、
前記側壁の高さに対する前記上壁の幅の割合は、約1以上約3以下であり、前記支持構造物は、衝撃性であり、
前記複合材料は、約20GPa以上約30GPa以下のヤング係数(E)を有し、
前記ヤング係数(E)に対する前記側壁の前記高さの割合は、約0.4mm/GPa以上約1mm/GPa以下である、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項8に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記側壁の前記高さに対する前記上壁の前記幅の前記割合は、約1.25以上約2.75以下である、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項8に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記上壁の前記幅は、約20ミリメートル以上約35ミリメートル以下であり、
前記側壁の前記高さは、約10ミリメートル以上約18ミリメートル以下である、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項8に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記複数の細長い頂部の各細長い頂部間の領域は、約25ミリメートル以上約40ミリメートル以下の幅を有する、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項8に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記2つの側壁の各々は、前記上壁に対して、垂線から約3度以上約40度以下の角度を画定する、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項8に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記細長い頂部に設けられ、所定の周期性を画定する複数の突起をさらに有し、
前記支持構造物は、第1側部及び第2反対側部を有し、前記第1側部は上面であり、前記第2反対側部は下面であり、
前記複数の突起は、
前記第1側部の前記上面は滑らかである一方、前記第2反対側部の前記下面に、又は
前記第1側部の前記上面及び前記第2反対側部の前記下面の両方に、設けられる、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項8に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記支持構造物は、ガスタンク保護シールド、ボディー底面シールド、構造パネル、内部床面、フロアパン、屋根、外部表面、貯蔵領域、グローブボックス、コンソールボックス、トランク、トランク床面、トラックベッド、及びそれらの組み合わせ、からなる群から選択される、耐衝撃性部品。 - 車両のための耐衝撃性部品であって、
支持構造物であって、そこに形成される複数の細長い頂部を有し、前記細長い頂部の各々は、それぞれ、上壁及び2つの側壁を有し、前記複数の細長い頂部の各々は、それぞれ、隣接する前記複数の細長い頂部から所定の間隔で離間する、支持構造物を有し、
前記複数の細長い頂部はさらに、複数の隆起した部分と複数の隆起していない部分とを有する、前記上壁に沿って所定の周期性を備えた波状表面を画定し、載荷可能な波形表面を形成し、
前記複数の細長い頂部は、第1側部及び第2反対側部を有し、
前記第1側部及び前記第2反対側部の各々は、前記複数の隆起した部分と、前記複数の隆起していない部分とを有する、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項15に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記波状表面は、正弦曲線形状を画定する、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項15に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記所定の周期性は、前記上壁の幅の約1/3以下である、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項15に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記複数の細長い頂部の各細長い頂部間の領域も、前記波状表面を有する、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項15に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
前記支持構造物は、ポリマー及び炭素繊維を有する繊維補強複合材料を有する、耐衝撃性部品。 - 請求項19に記載された耐衝撃性部品において、
