を備えた方法。 - 前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内部管状空隙の中に隔壁起動部材を完全に配置するステップをさらに備え、前記隔壁起動部材の遠位端が前記隔壁の近位面と接触し、前記隔壁起動部材の近位端が前記カテーテルアダプタの開口に近接して位置され、前記カテーテルアダプタの前記開口に外部装置を挿入することによって、前記隔壁起動部材の前記近位端が前記隔壁に連通される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記隔壁起動部材を通る流体経路を形成する管状空隙を設けるステップをさらに備え、前記管状空隙が、前記誘導ニードルの通過を許容するよう形成された内径を有する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 1つまたは複数の開口を前記隔壁起動部材の近位端に配置し、前記1つまたは複数の開口が前記隔壁起動部材の前記管状空隙と前記流路との間の流体連通をもたらす、ステップと、
1つまたは複数の流れ逸らし部材を前記隔壁起動部材の外表面に設けるステップであって、前記1つまたは複数の流れ逸らし部材は、前記隔壁起動部材の外表面から外側へ、前記流路内に延びる、ステップと、
1つまたは複数の細長い溝を前記隔壁起動部材に設けるステップであって、前記1つまたは複数の細長い溝は、前記隔壁起動部材の前記管状空隙と前記流路との間の流体連通をもたらす、ステップと
を含む、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記隔壁起動部材の前記遠位端を受け、収容するためのキャビティを含むように前記隔壁の前記近位面を変形するステップであって、前記隔壁の遠位面は、前記隔壁の前記遠位面が遠位に突出するように、ドーム状である、ステップをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記キャビティの内表面に起伏部を設けるステップをさらに備え、前記起伏部が、前記隔壁起動部材の前記遠位端に配置された保持要素を受けるよう形成され、前記保持要素と前記起伏部の相互作用が、前記隔壁起動部材が前記隔壁から外れるのを妨げる、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 静脈カテーテルアセンブリであって、
内部管状空隙を有するカテーテルアダプタであって、前記内部管状空隙が近位端、遠位端および中間部を有するカテーテルアダプタと、
隔壁と、
前記内部管状空隙の前記中間部を形成する凹部であって、前記凹部が前記隔壁を受け入れるよう形成され、前記隔壁が、前記凹部内に完全に配置され、前記内部管状空隙の前記近位端および前記遠位端の間のスリットにより打破可能なバリアを形成する凹部と、
前記凹部内に形成され、前記隔壁と、前記カテーテルアダプタの前記内部管状空隙の内表面との間に介設された通気路であって、前記通気路は、前記内部管状空隙の近位端と遠位端との間の空気及び血液の少なくとも一方の所望の流量での通過を許容するように選択された表面積及び周長を有する通気路と、
前記内部管状空隙内に配置された誘導ニードルであって、前記誘導ニードルの先端が前記カテーテルアダプタを超えて延び、前記誘導ニードルの一部が前記隔壁に挿通される誘導ニードルと、
前記内部管状空隙の前記近位端の中に位置された隔壁起動部材であって、前記誘導ニードルが挿通される通路を有し、前記隔壁のスリットを付勢開放するための第1端と外部装置との接触面を有する第2端とをさらに有する隔壁起動部材と、
前記カテーテルアダプタの近位端を形成する開口であって、前記外部装置が前記開口に挿入され、前記隔壁起動部材の前記接触面に接触し、前記隔壁起動部材の前記第1端を、前記隔壁の前記スリットを通じて前進させる開口と、
を備えたアセンブリ。 - 前記隔壁起動部材が、
前記隔壁起動部材の近位端に位置され、前記隔壁起動部材の管状空隙と前記カテーテルアダプタの流路との間の流体連通をもたらす、1つまたは複数の開口と、
前記隔壁起動部材の外表面から外側へ、前記流路内に延びる、1つまたは複数の流れ逸らし部材と、
前記隔壁起動部材の前記管状空隙と前記流路との間の流体連通をもたらす、1つまたは複数の細長い溝と
を備える、請求項13に記載のアセンブリ。 - 前記隔壁の前記近位端が、前記隔壁起動部材の前記遠位端を受け、収容するためのキャビティをさらに含み、前記隔壁の遠位面は、前記隔壁の前記遠位面が遠位に突出するように、ドーム状である、請求項13に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記キャビティの内表面に配置された起伏部をさらに備え、前記起伏部が、前記隔壁起動部材の遠位端に配置された保持要素を受けるよう形成され、前記保持要素と前記起伏部の相互作用が、前記隔壁起動部材が前記隔壁から外れるのを妨げる、請求項15に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記カテーテルアダプタ、前記隔壁、前記通気路、前記誘導ニードル、前記隔壁起動部材および前記外部装置の少なくとも一つに適用された抗菌コーティングをさらに備える、請求項13に記載のアセンブリ。
