前記分離層は、(a)液相成分とポリマーマトリックスからなる一つ以上の2相(two−phase)電解質、及び(b)液相成分と固相成分及びポリマーマトリックスからなる一つ以上の3相(three−phase)電解質を含む、多層構造からなっており、
前記分離層のポリマーマトリックスは、正極または負極と結合されており、
電極組立体の作製過程で分離層の液相成分が電極に一部流入する構成を有する一体型電極組立体である。
イオン性塩を含む液相成分、及び前記液相成分を内蔵した状態で、線状高分子と架橋高分子が粘弾性構造体を形成しているポリマーマトリックスを含む、一つ以上の2相(two−phase)電解質と;

(2)前記2相または3相混合物を一つの電極上にコーティングする過程と;
(3)UV照射または熱の印加によって重合反応を行って2相または3相電解質層を形成する過程と;
(4)前記2相または3相電解質層上に過程(2)及び過程(3)を繰り返して実施して、多数の電解質層からなる分離層を形成する過程と;
(5)前記分離層上に対応電極を搭載し、加圧する過程と;
を含む一体型電極組立体の製造方法を提供する。
負極は、黒鉛、PVdF、カーボンブラックをNMPに添加してスラリーに製造した後、これを銅箔(foil)に塗布し、約130℃で、2時間の間乾燥して準備した。正極は、LiNiMnCoO2/LiMnO2、PVdF、カーボンブラックをNMPに添加してスラリーに製造した後、これをアルミ箔(foil)に塗布し、約130℃で、2時間の間乾燥して製造した。
実施例1に係る正極と負極との間にオレフィン系多孔性セパレーターを挿入し、液体電解液をさらに注液して、二次電池を製造した。
実施例1から製造された二次電池を、別途の含浸過程なしに電池特性の評価を進行した。

- 正極、負極からなる電極、及び前記正極と負極との間に位置する分離層が、互いに一体型構造を有し、
前記分離層は、(a)液相成分とポリマーマトリックスからなる一つ以上の2相(two−phase)電解質、及び(b)前記液相成分と固相成分及び前記ポリマーマトリックスからなる一つ以上の3相(three−phase)電解質を含む、多層構造からなっており、
前記分離層のポリマーマトリックスは、正極または負極と結合されており、
前記電極は前記分離層の液相成分を一部含み、
前記2相電解質及び3相電解質の前記液相成分は、イオン性塩を含み、
前記3相電解質の固相成分は前記正極と負極の間で前記分離層を支持し、
前記2相電解質のポリマーマトリックスは、前記液相成分を内蔵した状態で、線状高分子と架橋高分子が粘弾性構造体を形成しており、
前記3相電解質のポリマーマトリックスは、前記液相成分と固相成分を内蔵した状態で、線状高分子と架橋高分子が粘弾性構造体を形成し、

- 前記リチウム塩は、LiCl、LiBr、LiI、LiClO4、LiBF4、LiB10Cl10、LiPF6、LiCF3SO3、LiCF3CO2、LiAsF6、LiSbF6、LiAlCl4、CH3SO3Li、(CF3SO2)2 NLi、クロロボランリチウム、低級脂肪族カルボン酸リチウム及び四フェニルホウ酸リチウムからなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記電解液は、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート、ブチレンカーボネート、ビニレンカーボネート、ジエチルカーボネート、ジメチルカーボネート、エチルメチルカーボネート、ガンマブチロラクトン、スルホラン、メチルアセテート及びメチルプロピオネートからなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記固相成分は、10nm〜5μmの平均粒径を有する固相粒子であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記固相成分は、イオン伝導性セラミック及び/またはリチウムイオンと反応性のない固体化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記固体化合物は、イオン伝導性セラミック、リチウムイオンと反応性のない酸化物、窒化物及び炭化物からなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記リチウムイオンと反応性のない酸化物は、MgO、TiO2(Rutile)及びAl2O3からなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記線状高分子は、ポリオキサイド系の非架橋高分子及び極性非架橋高分子からなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記ポリオキサイド系非架橋高分子は、ポリ(エチレンオキサイド)(Poly(ethylene oxide))、ポリ(プロピレンオキサイド)(Poly(propylene oxide))、ポリ(オキシメチレン)(Poly(oxymethylene))及びポリ(ジメチルシロキサン)(Poly(dimethylsiloxane))からなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記極性非架橋高分子は、ポリアクリロニトリル(Polyacrylonitrile)、ポリ(メチルメタクリレート)(Poly(methyl methacrylate))、ポリ(ビニルクロライド)(Poly(vinyl chloride))、ポリ(ビニリデンフルオライド)(Poly(vinylidene fluoride))、ポリ(ビニリデンフルオライド−コ−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン)((Poly(vinylidene fluoride−co−hexafluoropropylene))、ポリ(エチレンイミン)(Poly(ethylene imine))及びポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)(Poly(p−phenylene terephthalamide))からなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記架橋高分子は、2個以上の官能基を有する単量体の重合体、または2個以上の官能基を有する単量体と1個の官能基を有する極性単量体との共重合体であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記2個以上の官能基を有する単量体は、トリメチロールプロパンエトキシレートトリアクリレート(trimethylolpropane ethoxylate triacrylate)、ポリエチレングリコールジメタクリレート(polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate)、ポリエチレングリコールジアクリレート(polyethylene glycol diacrylate)、ジビニルベンゼン、ポリエステルジメタクリレート、ジビニルエーテル、トリメチロールプロパン(trimethylolpropane)、トリメチロールプロパントリメタクリレート(trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate)、及びエトキシ化ビスフェノールAジメタクリレート(ethoxylated bis phenol A dimethacrylate)からなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記1個の官能基を有する極性単量体は、メチルメタクリレート、エチルメタクリレート、ブチルメタクリレート、メチルアクリレート、ブチルアクリレート、エチレングリコールメチルエーテルアクリレート、エチレングリコールメチルエーテルメタクリレート、アクリロニトリル、ビニルアセテート、ビニルクロライド、及びビニルフルオライドからなる群から選択される一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記固相成分は、3相電解質のポリマーマトリックスの重量を基準に20〜90重量%で含まれていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記分離層は、2相電解質及び3相電解質の2層からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記分離層は、2相電解質/3相電解質/2相電解質の3層からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 前記分離層は、3相電解質/2相電解質/3相電解質の3層からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の一体型電極組立体。
- 請求項1に係る一体型電極組立体の製造方法であって、
(1)線状高分子、架橋高分子用単量体、イオン性塩を含む液相成分、重合開始剤及び選択的に固相成分を、均一に混合して2相または3相電解質用混合物を製造する過程と、
(2)前記2相または3相混合物を一つの電極上にコーティングする過程と、
(3)UV照射または熱の印加によって重合反応を行って2相または3相電解質層を形成する過程と、
(4)前記2相または3相電解質層上に過程(2)及び過程(3)を繰り返して実施して、多数の電解質層からなる分離層を形成する過程と、
(5)前記分離層上に対応電極を搭載し、加圧する過程と、を含むことを特徴とする、一体型電極組立体の製造方法。 - 請求項1ないし24のいずれか1項に係る一体型電極組立体を含むことを特徴とする、リチウム二次電池。
- 請求項26に係るリチウム二次電池を単位電池として含むことを特徴とする、電池モジュール。
- 請求項27に係る電池モジュールを含むことを特徴とする、電池パック。
- 前記電池パックは、中大型デバイスの電源として含まれていることを特徴とする、請求項28に記載の電池パック。
- 前記中大型デバイスは、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグ−インハイブリッド電気自動車、または電力貯蔵用システムであることを特徴とする、請求項29に記載の電池パック。
