Description
電磁放射線を受けて光に変換するための活性領域を有し、該第2スクリーンは、該筐体の内部に位置し、該光検出器は該筐体の該内部に位置し、該光に感応する活性領域を有する。
ここでI0は、板状材料に入射又は入り込むあるエネルギの光子の数であり、χは板の厚さであり、Iは板厚χの層を通過した光子の数であり、μは、特定のエネルギの光子についての材料の線減衰係数である。
垂直方向に移動できる。しかしながら、検出器502及び線源508の配置及び移動は、本明細書での記載に限定されない。他の実施の形態において、検出器502及び線源508は、当業者には周知なように、適宜の方法によって移動させたり配置させることができる。X線ビーム506が対象504を交差することによって、特定領域のイメージ・ピクチャ・エレメント(画素)が画定される。
Claims (26)
- 電磁放射線を検出するための検出システムであって、デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体と、基板と、光検出器とを備え、
該デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体は、フロントサイド領域、第2サイド領域及び第3サイド領域を形成する3つの互いに隣接する壁部を有し、該3つの壁部は、互いに角度をなして接続されて断面が三角形状となる容積を画成し、それぞれのサイド領域は内面を有し、
該基板は該フロント及び第2サイド領域のそれぞれの該内面上に位置し、該基板は電磁放射線を受けて光に変換するための活性領域を有して第1及び第2検出スクリーンを形成し、
該光検出器は、該第3サイド領域に近接するとともに、該電磁放射線から変換された光に反応する活性領域を有することを特徴とする検出システム。 - 該フロント及び第2サイド領域の内面は光を反射することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検出システム。
- それぞれの該基板の該活性領域は、シンチレータ材料を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検出システム。
- 該シンチレータ材料は、タングステン酸カルシウムであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の検出システム。
- 該基板の該活性領域は、該光検出器の該活性領域よりも広いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検出システム。
- 該基板の表面形状は、平滑であるか、ピラミッド形、六角形状、円錐形状、扇形、凹凸形状、起伏があるか、波状のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検出システム。
- 該光検出器は、光電子増倍管であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の検出システム。
- 電磁放射線を検出するための検出システムであって、第1及び第2デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体を有し、
該第1及び第2デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体の各々は、フロントサイド領域、第2サイド領域及び第3サイド領域を形成する3つの互いに隣接する壁部と、基板と、光検出器とを備え、
該3つの互いに隣接する壁部は互いに角度をなして接続されて断面が三角形状となる容積を画成し、各サイド領域は内面を有し、
該基板は該フロント及び第2サイド領域のそれぞれの該内面上に位置し、それぞれの基板は電磁放射線を受けて光に変換するための活性領域を有して第1及び第2検出スクリーンを形成し、
該光検出器は、該第3サイド領域に近接するとともに、該電磁放射線から変換された光に反応する活性領域を有することを特徴とする検出システム。 - 該第1デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体と該第2デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体とは互いに隣あって配置され、長尺部材によって互いに分離されていることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の検出システム。
- 該長尺部材は、X線を通過させるスリットを有していることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の検出システム。
- 該第2デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体における該フロント及び第2サイド領域の各々の内面は光を反射することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の検出システム。
- 該第1デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体と該第2デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体におけるそれぞれの該基板の該活性領域は、シンチレータ材料を有することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の検出システム。
- 該シンチレータ材料は、タングステン酸カルシウムであることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の検出システム。
- 該第1デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体と該第2デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体において該基板の該活性領域は、該光検出器の該活性領域よりも広いことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の検出システム。
- 該第1デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体と該第2デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体において、該基板の表面形状は、平滑であるか、ピラミッド形、六角形状、円錐形状、扇形、凹凸形状、起伏があるか、波状のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の検出システム。
- 該第1デュアルスクリーン検出器筐体の該光検出器は、光電子増倍管であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の検出システム。
- 取り囲まれた内部容積と、第1基板と、第2基板と、少なくとも一つの光検出器とを有し、
該取り囲まれた内部容積は、第1側部と、第2側部と、曲面部とを有し、
該第1側部は第1端部と第2端部とを有し、
該第2側部は第1端部と第2端部とを有し、該第1側部の該第1端部は該第2側部の該第1端部に互いに鋭角をなすように取付けられ、
該曲面部は第1端部と第2端部とを有し、該曲面部の該第1端部は該第2側部の該第2端部に取付けられ、該曲面部の該第2端部は該第1側部の該第2端部に取付けられて断面が三角形状となる容積を画成し、
該第1基板は該第1側部の内面上に位置するとともに、電磁放射線を受けて光に変換するための活性領域を有することで第1検出スクリーンを形成し、
該第2基板は該第2側部の内面上に位置するとともに、電磁放射線を受けて光に変換するための活性領域を有することで第2検出スクリーンを形成することを特徴とする検出システム。 - 該光検出器は光感応領域と光不感応領域とを有し、該光感応領域は該第1基板と該第2基板から発せられる光を受け入れるように位置していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の検出システム。
- 該光不感応領域は、該曲面部内に位置していることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の検出システム。
- 該曲面部の該第1端部と該第2側部の該第2端部との取付け、または、該曲面部の該第2端部と該第1側部の該第2端部との取付けのいずれかは、ヒンジで連結されていることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の検出システム。
- 該曲面部は、該ヒンジに対して回動するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の検出システム。
- 該曲面部が該ヒンジに対して回動した結果、該光不感応領域は該取囲まれた内部容積に外側から接近可能であることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の検出システム。
- 第1側部と、第2側部と、第3側部と、第1基板と、第2基板と、すくなくとも一つの光検出器とを備え、
該第1側部は、内面と、平坦面を規定する外面とで規定され、該外面は検査対象に面しており、該第1側部は該検査対象から後方散乱する放射線を受け入れるように構成され、
該第2側部は、該第1側部に対して鋭角をなしており、内面を有する平坦面によって規定され、該第2側部の該内面は該第1側部を通過した放射線を受け入れるように構成され、また該第2側部を通過した後の放射線のみを受け入れるように構成され、
該第3側部は、該3つの側部が互いに角度をなして接続されて、断面が三角形状となる容積を画成し、
該第1基板は、該第1側部の該内面上に位置するとともに、電磁放射線を受けて光に変換するための活性領域を有することで第1検出スクリーンを形成し、
該第2基板は該第2側部の内面上に位置するとともに、電磁放射線を受けて光に変換するための活性領域を有することで第2検出スクリーンを形成し、
該少なくとも一つの光検出器は、該第3側部に近接して配置されて光感応領域と光不感応領域とを有し、該光感応領域は該第1基板と該第2基板から発せられる光を受け入れるように位置していることを特徴とする検出システム。 - 該放射線はX線光子であることを特徴とする請求項23に記載の検出システム。
- 該第1基板は、該第1側部に衝突したX線光子の30〜60%を検出することを特徴とする請求項24に記載の検出システム。
- 該第2基板は、該第2側部に衝突したX線光子の10〜30%を検出することを特徴とする請求項25に記載の検出システム。
