Claims (10)

前記複数の可撓性スプラインは、複数の露出した電極を導くためのものであり、そして、近位部分、遠位部分、および前記近位部分と前記遠位部分との間に中間部分を有し、
前記近位アンカーは、前記スプラインの前記近位部分を確実に付着するためのものであり、そして、前記第1の細長い筒状部材の前記遠位端に固定され、
前記遠位先端は、前記スプラインの前記遠位部分を確実に付着するためのものであり、前記近位アンカーおよび前記遠位先端は、当該両者間に前記スプラインが配置される縦軸を定義しており、
前記第2の細長い筒状部材は、ルーメン、近位端、および遠位端を有し、
前記スプラインは、前記縦軸に沿った前記近位アンカーと前記遠位先端との間の線分から測定されるときに、約90°または約90°未満の角度で前記遠位先端に接近し、前記線分は、前記遠位先端に遠位終点を有し、
前記バスケットアセンブリが前記第2の細長い筒状部材の前記ルーメンの中で半径方向に圧縮されるときに実質的に円筒形状を呈し、前記第2の細長い筒状部材の前記ルーメンの中で半径方向に圧縮されないときに、かつ前記第2の細長い筒状部材の前記遠位端を過ぎて配置されるときに半径方向に拡張された非球面形状を呈するように、前記スプラインは、超弾性材料から作られ、
前記半径方向に拡張された非球面形状における前記スプラインの少なくともいくつかは、前記スプラインを前記近位アンカーの方へ後ろ向きに曲げるために、前記バスケットアセンブリの前記遠位先端の付近で前記スプラインの前記遠位部分に配置される遠位の外側へ曲がる外向きの屈曲を含み、
前記バスケットアセンブリが前記第2の細長い筒状部材の前記遠位端を過ぎてスライドされるときに、前記バスケットアセンブリは、凹んだ遠位端構成を定義するために、前記遠位の外側へ曲がる外向きの屈曲の頂点を前記線分の前記遠位終点を過ぎて、かつ前記遠位先端を過ぎて配置するために前記半径方向に拡張された非球面形状まで自動的に自己拡張し、
前記バスケットアセンブリが前記第2の細長い筒状部材の中でスライドしながら圧縮されるのにつれて前記バスケットアセンブリの前記実質的に円筒形状を達成するように前記縦軸に沿って前記遠位先端を自動的に動かして前記遠位の外側へ曲がる外向きの屈曲を延ばすために、前記スプラインは、前記遠位の外側へ曲がる外向きの屈曲のスプライン幅と比較して、前記遠位の外側へ曲がる外向きの屈曲より前に前記遠位先端の付近の前記遠位部分で減少した幅を有する、システム。 - 前記遠位のスプライン部分は、前記遠位先端の中に確実にかつスライドしないで配置される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記遠位のスプライン部分は、予め定められた角度関係において、前記遠位先端の中に確実にかつスライドしないで配置される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記予め定められた角度関係を形成する前記遠位先端での前記スプライン間の角度は、全て互いに実質的に等しい、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記予め定められた角度関係を形成する前記遠位先端での前記スプライン間の少なくとも1つの角度は、前記遠位先端での前記スプライン間の他の角度と異なる、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記スプラインは、遠位端部を有し、そしてさらに、前記スプラインの前記遠位端部は、前記遠位先端の中に確実にかつスライドしないで配置される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記スプラインは、前記縦軸に沿った前記近位アンカーと前記遠位先端との間の線分から測定されるときに、約45°未満の角度で前記遠位先端に接近する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記スプラインは、前記遠位先端と前記遠位の外側へ曲がる外向きの屈曲との間に内側へ曲がる内向きの屈曲を有する、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記遠位先端は、そこへの血液の通過または進入を許容する空隙およびスロットのない非血栓形成性外面を有する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記スプラインは、前記中間部分のスプライン幅と比較して、前記遠位の外側へ曲がる外向きの屈曲より前に前記遠位先端の付近の前記遠位部分で減少した幅を有する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
