Description
図1において、11はインターナルミキサー、ニーダー等の密閉式ゴム混練機、ここではインターナルミキサーであり、このインターナルミキサー11の上部にはカーボンあるいはシリカおよび架橋剤を除く薬品が未加硫ゴムMとともに投入される投入口12が形成されている。また、前記インターナルミキサー11の内部でその下部には互いに平行に延びる一対のロータ13が設けられ、これらロータ13の外周には翼がそれぞれ形成されている。そして、これらロータ13が図示していない駆動手段により逆方向に駆動回転されると、インターナルミキサー11内の未加硫ゴムMはこれら翼により架橋剤が混入されていない状態での練り、即ち、マスターバッチ練り(ノンプロ練りとも称される)が施され、タイヤ耐久性の向上等に資するカーボンあるいはシリカの補強構造が生成されるとともに、未加硫ゴムMの粘度の低下およびカーボン等の分散度の向上も図られる。
今、インターナルミキサー11内に投入された未加硫ゴムMに対しマスターバッチ練りが施されているとする。そして、前記インターナルミキサー11によるマスターバッチ練りが終了すると、該インターナルミキサー11から未加硫ゴムMが押出し機16に供給されるが、このようにして押出し機16に供給された未加硫ゴムMは、スクリュー17の回転により前方に送り出された後、押出しロール18間を通過して帯状の未加硫ゴムMとなる。その後、該帯状の未加硫ゴムMは一対の水平な混練ロール21、22に供給されてゴムバンク24となるが、このゴムバンク24(未加硫ゴムM)は混練ロール21、22の逆方向回転により下方に引き込まれながらこれら混練ロール21、22間(ギャップ23)を通過し帯状ゴム25に成形される。このとき、前記未加硫ゴムMは混練ロール21、22から大きな剪断力を受けてマスターバッチ練りが施され、カーボンあるいはシリカの補強構造が生成されるとともに、粘度の低下および分散度の向上が図られる。

Claims (2)
- 未加硫ゴムを混練ロールに供給し、これら混練ロール間を通過させることでマスターバッチ練りを施す工程と、混練ロールによりマスターバッチ練りが施された前記未加硫ゴムを循環手段により前記混練ロールに戻して再度マスターバッチ練りを施す工程と、未加硫ゴムに対するマスターバッチ練りが完了したとき、該未加硫ゴムに架橋剤を供給するとともに、該架橋剤が供給された未加硫ゴムを前記循環手段により前記混練ロールに戻し、これら混練ロール間を通過させることでファイナル練りを施す工程とを備え、前記混練ロールと循環手段との間に設けられたゴム押出し機によって混練ロールからの未加硫ゴムに対し練りを施した後、循環手段によって混練ロールに戻すようにした未加硫ゴムの混練方法において、前記架橋剤を未加硫ゴムに混入することなく前記ゴム押出し機内に該ゴム押出し機の未加硫ゴム投入口から供給するようにしたことを特徴とする未加硫ゴムの混練方法。
- 未加硫ゴムが供給されてこれらの間を通過したとき、該未加硫ゴムに対しマスターバッチ練りを施すことができる一対の混練ロールと、前記混練ロールによりマスターバッチ練りが施された未加硫ゴムを前記混練ロールに戻して再度マスターバッチ練りを施す循環手段と、未加硫ゴムに対するマスターバッチ練りが完了したとき、該未加硫ゴムに架橋剤を供給する供給手段とを備え、架橋剤が供給された未加硫ゴムを前記循環手段により前記混練ロールに戻し、これら混練ロール間を通過させることでファイナル練りを施す一方、前記混練ロールと循環手段との間にゴム押出し機を設け、混練ロールからの未加硫ゴムに対しゴム押出し機によって練りを施した後、循環手段によって混練ロールに戻すようにした未加硫ゴムの混練装置において、前記架橋剤を未加硫ゴムに混入することなく供給手段により前記ゴム押出し機内に該ゴム押出し機の未加硫ゴム投入口から供給するようにしたことを特徴とする未加硫ゴムの混練装置。
