Description
まず基材1、作用極2及び対極7を準備する。
基材1を構成する材料は、例えば可視光に対して透明な材料であればよく、このような透明な材料としては、例えばホウケイ酸ガラス、ソーダライムガラス、白板ガラス、石英ガラスなどのガラス、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリエチレンナフタレート(PEN)、ポリカーボネート(PC)、ポリエーテルスルフォン(PES)などが挙げられる。基材1の厚さは、色素増感太陽電池100のサイズに応じて適宜決定され、特に限定されるものではないが、例えば50μm〜10000μmの範囲にすればよい。
作用極2は、以下のようにして得ることができる。
次に、作用極2の多孔質酸化物半導体層22に光増感色素を担持させる。このためには、作用極2を、光増感色素を含有する溶液の中に浸漬させ、その色素を多孔質酸化物半導体層22に吸着させた後に上記溶液の溶媒成分で余分な色素を洗い流し、乾燥させることで、光増感色素を多孔質酸化物半導体層22に吸着させればよい。但し、光増感色素を含有する溶液を多孔質酸化物半導体層22に塗布した後、乾燥させることによって光増感色素を酸化物半導体多孔膜に吸着させても、光増感色素を多孔質酸化物半導体層22に担持させることが可能である。
一方、対極7は、以下のようにして得ることができる。
次に、基材1の表面に作用極2を接触させ、基材1の表面の周縁部に封止部4を固定する。
次に、作用極2上であって封止部4の内側に電解質5を配置する。電解質5は、作用極2上であって封止部4の内側に注入したり、印刷したりすることによって得ることができる。
そして対極7を、触媒膜3を作用極2に向けた状態で封止部4と重ね合わせ、対極7及び基材1の周縁部を熱圧着する。こうして、色素増感太陽電池100の製造が完了する。
はじめに、直径0.05mmの第1金属部材と、同じく直径0.05mmの第2金属部材を用意し、これらを用いて、横50mm×縦50mmの平織物を製織した。第1金属部材及び第2金属部材としてはTiを用いた。
第1金属線材の凹部の最大深さDmaxを第1金属線材の最大厚さT1maxの1/4とし、第2金属線材の最大厚さT2maxの1/3としたこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感太陽電池を作製した。

平織物の圧延加工を行わず、第1金属線材に凹部を形成しなかったこと以外は実施例1と同様にして色素増感太陽電池を作製した。
実施例1〜3及び比較例1で得られた色素増感太陽電池に対し、ソーラーシミュレータ(AM1.5、100mW/cm2)にて光を照射して、電流電位曲線を得た。そして、この電流電位曲線の結果から光電変換効率を算出した。結果を表1に示す。

Claims (7)
- 色素増感太陽電池の作用極に用いられる網状体であって、
複数本の第1金属線材と、
前記複数本の第1金属線材に対して交差するように配置される複数本の第2金属線材とを有し、
前記複数本の第1金属線材の各々が、前記複数本の第2金属線材の各々と交差する位置に凹部を有し、
前記複数本の第2金属線材の各々が前記凹部に嵌め込まれていることを特徴とする作用極用網状体。 - 前記凹部の最大深さが、前記第1金属線材の最大厚さの1/3〜1/2である請求項1に記載の作用極用網状体。
- 前記凹部の最大深さが、前記第2金属線材の最大厚さと等しい請求項1又は2に記載の作用極用網状体。
- 前記網状体が、前記第1金属線材となる第1金属部材と、前記第2金属線材となる第2金属部材とを交差させてなる織物を圧延加工して得られる、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の作用極用網状体。
- 導電性の網状体と、
前記網状体を被覆する多孔質酸化物半導体層とを備える色素増感太陽電池の作用極であって、
前記網状体が、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の作用極用網状体である、ことを特徴とする作用極。 - 導電性の網状体に、酸化物半導体粒子を含むペーストを塗布し前記ペーストを焼成した後、冷却して多孔質酸化物半導体層を形成することによって得られる色素増感太陽電池の作用極の製造方法であって、前記網状体が、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の作用極用網状体である、作用極の製造方法。
- 作用極と、
前記作用極に対向して配置される対極と、
前記作用極及び前記対極と接触する電解質とを備えており、
前記作用極が、請求項5に記載の作用極で構成される色素増感太陽電池。
