Description
The present invention relates to a vehicle curtain airbag structure having a structure capable of avoiding damage caused by a high-pressure and high-temperature inflator gas and having a gas guide capable of smoothly guiding the inflator gas.
The inner tube and the gas guide are formed into a tube shape by sewing. When the inflator is in operation, the inner tube and the like are filled with high-pressure and high-temperature inflator gas and swell at once. When the inner tube or the like expands, the pressure of the inflator gas generates a force that separates the sewing portion, and at the same time, the sewing portion is exposed to the high heat of the inflator gas.
In particular, a sewn portion such as an inner tube (for example, a sewn portion of an upper edge portion such as an inner tube) facing the gas ejection portion of the inflator is easily affected by the inflator gas. The sewn portion could not withstand the pressure of the inflator gas and high heat, and could be damaged by burning.
If the sewn portion is damaged and the inner tube or the like is damaged, the inflator gas cannot be smoothly guided to the gas duct. As a result, there has been a problem that it is impossible to ensure the proper deployment and inflating action of the curtain airbag, and it is impossible to ensure proper occupant protection performance.
The present invention was devised in view of the above-described conventional problems, and has a structure capable of avoiding damage caused by a high-pressure and high-temperature inflator gas, and a gas capable of smoothly guiding the inflator gas. An object is to provide a curtain airbag structure for a vehicle provided with a guide.
A curtain air bag structure for a vehicle according to the present invention is a curtain having an inflator that generates inflator gas from a gas ejection portion, a mounting cylinder portion that mounts the inflator, and a gas duct that communicates the mounting cylinder portion with a chamber. An air bag and a gas guide for introducing an inflator gas into the gas duct; the gas guide being positioned in the mounting cylinder and having an inlet for inserting the inflator formed therein; and the gas duct A gas jetting cylinder portion that is located within and integrally injects the inflator gas into the gas duct; the gas guide includes a central portion and a pair of wing portions located on both sides of the central portion; The central portion forms the gas jetting cylinder portion by the first turn of the central portion where the wing portions face each other; Grayed portion of one of the wing portions, and said second turn back facing the gas ejection portion is superposed on the other of said wing portions, adherable overlap portion in the inflator gas pressure of the inflator, the wings And forming a contact portion where the portions face each other and overlap each other, and joining the peripheral edge from the overlap portion excluding the second folded portion to the corresponding contact portion, leaving the inlet, A cylindrical portion is formed.
The overlap portion has a third wing portion corresponding to the second turn of the one wing portion so that a pair of the wing portions are overlapped at the second turn-back position. Is preferably formed.
In order to reinforce the gas ejection cylinder part, it is desirable that the central part has an extended part that is overlapped and joined to the central part by folding.
The gas guide may be provided with a reinforcing panel superimposed on one surface.
The reinforcing panel preferably has a covering portion that covers the wing portion in the vicinity of the inlet in order to reinforce the inlet of the cylindrical portion for insertion.
The reinforcing panel preferably has a slit corresponding to the first turn-back position in order to allow swelling of the gas jetting cylinder portion due to inflator gas pressure.
In the vehicle curtain airbag structure according to the present invention, damage to the gas guide due to the high-pressure and high-temperature inflator gas can be avoided, and the inflator gas can be smoothly guided through the gas guide. Specifically, since the gas guide portion facing the gas ejection portion of the inflator is formed by the second fold without being joined by sewing or the like, damage caused by the high-pressure and high-temperature inflator gas can be avoided. it can.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of a curtain airbag structure for a vehicle according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. 1 to 4 show a structure in which an
In the deployed state, the
The
The
The
FIG. 5 shows a
FIG. 6 shows a state where the
As shown in FIGS. 5 to 7, the
With the pair of
The
FIG. 7 shows a state in which the
FIG. 7 shows a case where the
Further, as shown in FIG. 6, an
5 and 9 to 13 show a case where a reinforcing
FIG. 10 shows a procedure for creating the
Next, as shown in FIG. 10 (3), the inner folded portion is formed on the upper edge of the
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 5, the upper portion of the
Finally, as shown in FIG. 5, the periphery from the
As shown in FIG. 11, the
Moreover, as shown in FIG. 12, the
Further, as shown in FIG. 13, the periphery of both
Next, the effect | action of the curtain airbag structure for vehicles which concerns on this embodiment is demonstrated. When the
By the way, in the curtain airbag structure for a vehicle according to the present embodiment, the upper end edge of the
Further, since a joining portion such as sewing is not formed at the upper end edge of the
By setting the third turn-up FL3 and overlapping the second turn-up FL2, the upper end edge of the
By providing the reinforcing
By providing the
The vehicle curtain airbag structure described above is a preferred example of the present invention, and other embodiments can be implemented or performed by various methods.
