Description

The present invention relates to a brake control device that controls braking force applied to wheels provided in a vehicle.

Conventionally, in a by-wire brake system such as an ECB (Electronically Controlled Brake) system, it is known to calculate a target deceleration based on a brake pedal depression stroke amount and a master cylinder pressure. The stroke amount is measured by a stroke sensor attached to the brake pedal. It is known that the output values of these sensors can change under the influence of changes in ambient temperature around the sensors. This is called “temperature drift”.

Since the deviation of the sensor detection value due to the temperature drift also affects the control using the detection value, it is desirable to correct appropriately. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a zero point correction device that corrects a zero point of a detected value of a brake sensor in order to reduce a detection error of the brake sensor due to environmental changes such as temperature, humidity, and magnetic field. Patent Document 2 discloses that a strain gauge sensor provided on a tread surface of a brake pedal compensates for output fluctuation due to a temperature change.

In general, contact-type brake pedal stroke sensors inevitably generate wear powder due to contact. This wear powder can invade parts around the sensor and affect its operation. For this reason, a non-contact type stroke sensor that does not have a sliding portion between the brake pedal and the brake pedal is being mounted on some vehicles. An example of this type of sensor is to mount a Hall IC and detect the movement of a magnet attached to a brake pedal to obtain the stroke amount.

In the non-contact type stroke sensor equipped with the Hall IC as described above, the deviation of the detected value due to the temperature drift is more remarkable than the contact type sensor. Even with a non-contact type stroke sensor, the shift of the detected value of the stroke sensor can be corrected by zero correction using the technique shown in Patent Document 1. However, until the zero correction is completed, the brake control is performed based on the detected value including the deviation due to the temperature change. Therefore, unless the zero correction is frequently performed even after the operation is started, the brake control is not performed. The accuracy may be reduced.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a brake control device including a mechanism for correcting a deviation of a detection value due to a temperature drift of a brake stroke sensor.

One embodiment of the present invention is a brake control device. This device includes a non-contact type stroke sensor for detecting a stroke value of a brake pedal of a vehicle, temperature determining means for obtaining an ambient temperature of the stroke sensor, and an ambient temperature of the stroke sensor with respect to a temperature at which the zero correction of the stroke sensor is performed. The detected value correction means for correcting the stroke value using the change amount of the stroke value and the stroke value change amount per unit temperature set in advance, and the corrected stroke value and the predetermined threshold value are compared with each other from the driver. Braking request determination means for determining whether or not there is a braking request.

According to this aspect, since the detection value of the sensor can be corrected without newly correcting the zero point of the stroke sensor, the sensor ambient temperature rises even when the zero point correction cannot be performed such as when the brake pedal is depressed. It is possible to correct the deviation of the sensor detection value due to. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the dragging of the brake caused by the deviation of the stroke detection value. The non-contact type stroke sensor is a sensor using a Hall IC, for example.

The temperature determination means includes temperature estimation means for estimating a temperature change amount around the stroke sensor based on an elapsed time from the time of zero correction of the stroke sensor to the present time, and the detection value correction means includes the estimated temperature change amount. May be used to correct the stroke value. According to this, the temperature around the stroke sensor is estimated by multiplying a preset temperature coefficient by using the fact that the temperature around the stroke sensor rises with time. For this reason, it is not necessary to install additional devices, such as a temperature sensor, and the shift | offset | difference of the sensor detection value by a temperature change can be reduced.

The detected value correcting means includes an elevated temperature calculating means for obtaining a change amount of the ambient temperature of the stroke sensor with respect to a temperature at the time of zero correction of the stroke sensor, a temperature change amount obtained by the elevated temperature calculating means, and the temperature estimation Comparing means for comparing the temperature change amount estimated by the means and correcting the stroke value using the smaller value may be further provided. According to this, it is possible to prevent the correction of the stroke value from becoming inaccurate because the temperature change amount estimated by the temperature estimation means becomes too large as the elapsed time becomes longer.

The detected value correcting means may correct the threshold value in the braking request determining means instead of correcting the stroke sensor detected value. If the stroke amount is corrected directly, the deceleration changes depending on the situation of the vehicle, which may deteriorate the driver's brake feeling. According to this, since the deceleration does not change during braking, the feeling is not deteriorated.

The temperature determining means may include a temperature sensor installed in the vehicle interior. By using a temperature sensor already installed in the cabin of some vehicles, an increase in cost can be avoided.

ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the shift | offset | difference of the stroke detection value resulting from a temperature drift in a non-contact-type brake pedal stroke sensor can be correct | amended.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, in a vehicle brake control device including a non-contact type brake pedal stroke sensor, the temperature drift of the sensor can be corrected without frequently performing zero correction, and as a result, the brake A brake control device that can prevent caliper dragging.

FIG. 1 is a system diagram showing a brake control device 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The brake control device 10 shown in the figure constitutes an electronically controlled brake system for a vehicle, and independently controls the brakes of the four wheels of the vehicle according to the operation of the brake pedal 12 as a brake operation member by the driver. And it is set optimally. In addition, a vehicle equipped with the brake control device 10 according to the present embodiment includes a steering device (not shown) that steers steering wheels among the four wheels, and an internal combustion engine (not shown) that drives the driving wheels of these four wheels. A traveling drive source such as an engine or a motor is provided.

Disc brake units 21FR, 21FL, 21RR and 21RL as braking force applying mechanisms apply braking force to the right front wheel, left front wheel, right rear wheel and left rear wheel of the vehicle, respectively. Each of the disc brake units 21FR to 21RL includes a brake disc 22 and wheel cylinders 20FR to 20RL incorporated in the brake caliper, respectively. The wheel cylinders 20FR to 20RL are connected to the brake actuator 80 via different fluid passages. Hereinafter, the wheel cylinders 20FR to 20RL will be collectively referred to as “wheel cylinder 20” as appropriate.

The brake control device 10 includes a right master cut valve 27FR and a left master cut valve 27FL, a pressure increasing valve 40FR to 40RL, a pressure reducing valve 42FR to 42RL, an oil pump 34, an accumulator 50, and the like, which will be described later. . When brake fluid is supplied to the wheel cylinder 20 from the brake actuator 80, a brake pad as a friction member is pressed against the brake disc 22 that rotates together with the wheel. Thereby, a braking force is applied to each wheel.

In the present embodiment, the disc brake units 21FR to 21RL are used, but other braking force applying mechanisms including a wheel cylinder 20 such as a drum brake may be used. Alternatively, instead of controlling the pressing force of the friction member by the fluid force, for example, a braking force applying mechanism that controls the pressing force of the friction member to the wheel by using an electric drive mechanism such as an electric motor can be used.

The brake pedal 12 is connected to a master cylinder 14 that sends out brake fluid as hydraulic fluid in response to a depression operation by the driver. The brake pedal 12 is provided with a stroke sensor 46 for detecting the depression stroke. The stroke sensor 46 is provided with two sensors, that is, an output system in parallel. These two output systems of the stroke sensor 46 measure and output the depression strokes independently and in parallel. By providing a plurality of output systems, even if any of the output systems breaks down, the depression stroke can be measured, which is effective in improving the fail-safe property. In addition, by taking the outputs from a plurality of output systems into account (for example, averaging) as the output of the stroke sensor 46, a highly reliable output can be generally obtained.

The stroke sensor 46 is, for example, a non-contact type sensor equipped with a Hall element that detects a magnetic field change caused by a change in the depression stroke by converting it into an electrical signal. This type of sensor is preferable as a non-contact sensor because it is relatively excellent in cost and reliability. In addition, no abrasion powder is generated due to contact as occurs with a contact-type stroke sensor. When the Hall element is used as a detection element, the detected voltage value is amplified by an amplifier and output as a measurement value. The detection values output in parallel from each output system are input to the ECU 200, for example, and the ECU 200 calculates the stroke amount using the input detection values. The calculated stroke amount is used for calculating the target deceleration, for example. The stroke sensor 46 may include three or more output systems in parallel.

One output port of the master cylinder 14 is connected to a stroke simulator 24 that creates a reaction force according to the operating force of the brake pedal 12 by the driver. A simulator cut valve 23 is provided in the middle of the flow path connecting the master cylinder 14 and the stroke simulator 24. The simulator cut valve 23 is a normally closed electromagnetic on-off valve that is closed when not energized and is switched to an open state when an operation of the brake pedal 12 by the driver is detected. The installation of the simulator cut valve 23 is not essential, and the stroke simulator 24 may be directly connected to the master cylinder 14 without the simulator cut valve 23 being interposed.

A brake hydraulic pressure control pipe 16 for the right front wheel is further connected to one output port of the master cylinder 14, and the brake hydraulic pressure control pipe 16 applies a braking force to the right front wheel (not shown). It is connected to the cylinder 20FR. A brake hydraulic pressure control pipe 18 for the left front wheel is connected to the other output port of the master cylinder 14, and the brake hydraulic pressure control pipe 18 is for the left front wheel that applies a braking force to the left front wheel (not shown). Connected to the wheel cylinder 20FL.

A right master cut valve 27FR is provided in the middle of the brake hydraulic control pipe 16 for the right front wheel, and a left master cut valve 27FL is provided in the middle of the brake hydraulic control pipe 18 for the left front wheel. Hereinafter, the right master cut valve 27FR and the left master cut valve 27FL are collectively referred to as a master cut valve 27 as appropriate.

The master cut valve 27 has a solenoid and a spring that are ON / OFF controlled, and the valve closing state is guaranteed by the electromagnetic force generated by the solenoid upon receipt of a specified control current, so that the solenoid is in a non-energized state. It is a normally open electromagnetic control valve that is opened in some cases. The master cut valve 27 in the opened state can cause the brake fluid to flow in both directions between the master cylinder 14 and the wheel cylinders 20FR and 20FL on the front wheel side. When a prescribed control current is supplied to the solenoid and the master cut valve 27 is closed, the flow of brake fluid is interrupted.

A right master pressure sensor 48FR for detecting the master cylinder pressure on the right front wheel side is provided in the middle of the brake hydraulic control pipe 16 for the right front wheel. A left master pressure sensor 48FL for measuring the master cylinder pressure on the left front wheel side is provided. In the brake control apparatus 10, when the brake pedal 12 is depressed by the driver, the stroke operation amount is detected by the stroke sensor 46. The master detected by the right master pressure sensor 48FR and the left master pressure sensor 48FL is detected. The depressing operation force (depressing force) of the brake pedal 12 can also be obtained from the cylinder pressure. As described above, it is preferable from the viewpoint of fail-safe that the master cylinder pressure is monitored by the two pressure sensors 48FR and 48FL on the assumption of the failure of the stroke sensor 46. Hereinafter, the right master pressure sensor 48FR and the left master pressure sensor 48FL are collectively referred to as a master cylinder pressure sensor 48 as appropriate.

The master cylinder 14 is connected to a reservoir tank 26 for storing brake fluid. One end of a hydraulic supply / discharge pipe 28 is connected to the reservoir tank 26, and a suction port of an oil pump 34 driven by a motor 32 is connected to the other end of the hydraulic supply / discharge pipe 28. The discharge port of the oil pump 34 is connected to a high pressure pipe 30, and an accumulator 50 and a relief valve 53 are connected to the high pressure pipe 30. In the present embodiment, a reciprocating pump including two or more pistons (not shown) that are reciprocally moved by the motor 32 is employed as the oil pump 34. Further, as the accumulator 50, an accumulator 50 that converts the pressure energy of the brake fluid into the pressure energy of an enclosed gas such as nitrogen is stored. The motor 32, the oil pump 34, and the accumulator 50 may be configured as a power supply unit separate from the brake actuator 80 and provided outside the brake actuator 80.

The accumulator 50 stores the brake fluid that has been pressurized to, for example, about 14 to 22 MPa by the oil pump 34. Further, the valve outlet of the relief valve 53 is connected to the hydraulic supply / discharge pipe 28. When the pressure of the brake fluid in the accumulator 50 is abnormally increased to about 25 MPa, for example, the relief valve 53 is opened and the high pressure brake is opened. The fluid is returned to the hydraulic supply / discharge pipe 28. Further, the high-pressure pipe 30 is provided with an accumulator pressure sensor 51 that detects the outlet pressure of the accumulator 50, that is, the pressure of the brake fluid in the accumulator 50.

The high pressure pipe 30 is connected to the right front wheel wheel cylinder 20FR, the left front wheel wheel cylinder 20FL, the right rear wheel wheel cylinder 20RR, and the left rear wheel through the pressure increasing valves 40FR, 40FL, 40RR, 40RL. It is connected to the cylinder 20RL. Hereinafter, the pressure increasing valves 40FR to 40RL will be collectively referred to as “pressure increasing valve 40” as appropriate. The pressure increasing valve 40 has a linear solenoid and a spring, both of which are normally closed electromagnetic flow control valves (linear valves) that are closed when the solenoid is in a non-energized state. The pressure increasing valve 40 is installed so that the differential pressure between the upstream accumulator pressure and the downstream wheel cylinder pressure acts as a force for opening the valve. The booster valve 40 has its valve opening adjusted in proportion to the current supplied to each solenoid. An upstream pressure, that is, an accumulator pressure is supplied through the pressure increasing valve 40, and the wheel cylinder 20 is increased.

Further, the wheel cylinder 20FR for the right front wheel and the wheel cylinder 20FL for the left front wheel are respectively connected to the hydraulic supply / discharge pipe 28 via the pressure reducing valve 42FR or 42FL on the front wheel side. The pressure reducing valves 42FR and 42FL are normally closed electromagnetic flow control valves (linear valves) used for pressure reduction of the wheel cylinders 20FR and 20FL as necessary. The pressure reducing valves 42FR and 42FL have linear solenoids and springs, respectively, and both are closed when the solenoids are in a non-energized state, and the valve opening degree is proportional to the current supplied to each solenoid. Adjusted. The pressure reducing valves 42FR and 42FL are installed such that a differential pressure between the upstream wheel cylinder pressure and the downstream reservoir pressure (atmospheric pressure) acts as a force for opening the valve.

On the other hand, the wheel cylinder 20RR for the right rear wheel and the wheel cylinder 20RL for the left rear wheel are connected to the hydraulic supply / discharge pipe 28 via a pressure reducing valve 42RR or 42RL which is a normally open electromagnetic flow control valve. . Each of the pressure reducing valves 42RR or 42RL on the rear wheel side has a linear solenoid and a spring, both of which are opened when the solenoid is in a non-energized state and are proportional to the current supplied to each solenoid. Is adjusted. Further, the valve is closed when the current exceeds a predetermined current value determined according to the wheel cylinder pressure. The pressure reducing valves 42RR and 42RL are installed such that a differential pressure between the upstream wheel cylinder pressure and the downstream reservoir pressure (atmospheric pressure) acts as a force for opening the valve. Hereinafter, the pressure reducing valves 42FR to 42RL are collectively referred to as “pressure reducing valve 42” as appropriate.

Further, in the vicinity of the wheel cylinders 20FR to 20RL for the right front wheel, the left front wheel, the right rear wheel, and the left rear wheel, the wheel cylinder pressure that is the pressure of the brake fluid acting on the corresponding wheel cylinder 20 is detected. Wheel cylinder pressure sensors 44FR, 44FL, 44RR and 44RL are provided. Hereinafter, the wheel cylinder pressure sensors 44FR to 44RL are collectively referred to as “wheel cylinder pressure sensor 44” as appropriate.

The brake actuator 80 is controlled by an electronic control unit (hereinafter referred to as “ECU”) 200 as a control unit in the present embodiment. The brake ECU 200 includes a CPU that executes various arithmetic processes, a ROM that stores various control programs, a RAM that is used as a work area for data storage and program execution, an input / output interface, a memory, and the like.

FIG. 2 is a functional block diagram showing a configuration of a part related to the temperature drift correction according to the present embodiment in the brake ECU 200 of FIG. Each block shown here can be realized in hardware by an element and a mechanical device including a computer CPU and memory, and in software by a computer program or the like. It is drawn as a functional block to be realized. Therefore, those skilled in the art will understand that these functional blocks can be realized in various forms by a combination of hardware and software.

The zero point correction unit 206 performs zero point correction of the stroke sensor 46 at an appropriate timing. The timing of execution is, for example, when the ignition is on or when traveling for a predetermined distance, and is not performed when the brake pedal is depressed.

The temperature determination unit 210 receives the detection value of the temperature sensor 90 installed at an arbitrary location in the vehicle compartment and obtains the temperature. The temperature determination unit 210 stores the temperature when the zero point correction is performed by the zero point correction unit 206 in a memory.

The detection value correction unit 220 receives the detection value S from the stroke sensor 46. The temperature determination unit 210 calculates the temperature change amount ΔT from the current temperature and the temperature at the time of zero point correction, and passes it to the detection value correction unit 220. The detection value correction unit 220 corrects the detection value S according to the following equation.
S m = S−C * ΔT (1)
Here, S m represents a sensor detection value after correction (hereinafter referred to as “correction stroke value”). C is a stroke detection value change amount per unit temperature determined in advance based on experiments or the like.

The brake determination unit 230 compares the corrected stroke value S m with a predetermined braking request determination threshold value to determine whether there is a braking request from the driver. When it is determined that there is a braking request, the target deceleration is calculated according to a predetermined calculation formula, and each element of the brake actuator 80 is controlled according to the target deceleration.

In a general contact type stroke sensor attached to a brake pedal, the stroke amount is detected by the resistance ratio of the variable resistance, so the resistance ratio does not change even if the temperature around the stroke sensor changes, and temperature drift occurs. do not do. On the other hand, in the non-contact type stroke sensor using the Hall element as in this embodiment, the temperature drift occurs as described above, and as a result, the stroke detection value is shifted in the direction larger or smaller than the actual value. Detected. In particular, when the detected stroke value is deviated in a direction larger than the actual value, that is, when the pedal is stepped on, it is determined that a braking request is made by the brake determination unit even when the driver is off the brake pedal. As a result, the brake caliper may be dragged when the brake is off.

This problem can also be solved by frequently performing zero point correction of the non-contact type stroke sensor, but the brake pedal has been depressed for a long time, for example when the vehicle is caught in a traffic jam, and zero point correction has been performed. In a state where the brake control is affected, it is difficult to perform zero point correction.

On the other hand, according to the first embodiment described above, the detection value correction unit 220 corrects the temperature drift of the detection value of the stroke sensor 46 using the vehicle compartment temperature instead of the ambient temperature of the stroke sensor. Find S m . As a result, even when zero point correction cannot be performed for a long period of time, it is possible to prevent dragging of the brake caliper due to stroke value deviation caused by temperature drift. In addition, an increase in cost can be avoided by using a vehicle interior temperature sensor that is generally installed at the center of a luxury vehicle without using a dedicated temperature sensor for the stroke sensor.

Embodiment 2. FIG.
FIG. 3 shows a configuration of ECU 200 according to the second embodiment. In the first embodiment, the ambient temperature of the stroke sensor is determined using the temperature sensor installed in the passenger compartment, but in this embodiment, the temperature sensor is not used and the elapsed time from the completion of the zero point correction is used. Find the ambient temperature of the stroke sensor.

ΔT=D*t (2)
The temperature determination unit 240 includes a current temperature estimation unit 244. The current temperature estimation unit 244 measures the elapsed time t from the completion of the previous zero correction to the current time with a built-in timer, and uses the preset time change rate D of the stroke sensor temperature to determine the amount of temperature change around the stroke sensor. to estimate the ΔT e. This is expressed as follows.
ΔT e = D * t (2)
However, D is set to a constant obtained by experiments or the like. Figure 4 shows the elapsed time t the relationship estimated temperature variation [Delta] T e.

The detection value correcting section 220, using the estimated temperature change amount [Delta] T e, calculates the correction stroke value Sm in accordance with the above equation (1).

In the above formula (2), although the estimated temperature change amount [Delta] T e with respect to the elapsed time t has described as rises in proportion in the real environment, for example, as shown in FIG. 5, with respect to the elapsed time t The temperature change amount ΔT e often increases while drawing an S-shaped curve. Therefore, the current temperature estimating unit 244 holds a table showing the curve shown in FIG. 5, may be obtained estimated temperature variation [Delta] T e with respect to the elapsed time t measured by the timer with reference to this table .
Alternatively, a temperature change amount [Delta] T e is calculated according to the table of the formula (2) or FIG. 5, may be set an upper limit value T th as shown in FIG. Thus, it is possible to prevent the temperature change amount [Delta] T e is calculated at a high temperature than the actual as the elapsed time t becomes longer.

As described above, according to the second embodiment, the temperature change around the stroke sensor can be estimated using the elapsed time from the completion of the zero point correction, and the temperature drift of the stroke sensor can be corrected based on this. In general, the vehicle interior temperature sensor is not mounted on a relatively inexpensive automobile, but according to this embodiment, the temperature drift of the stroke sensor can be corrected in any vehicle regardless of the presence or absence of the sensor.

Embodiment 3 FIG.
FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a configuration of the brake ECU 200 according to the third embodiment. In FIG. 7, the detection value correction unit 250 includes a rising temperature calculation unit 254 and a comparison unit 256. The rise temperature calculation unit 254 receives the measurement value from the temperature sensor 90 and obtains the rise temperature ΔT u from the temperature (fixed value, for example, 20 ° C.) at the time of initial setting of the stroke sensor performed in a factory or the like. Comparing unit 256 receives the estimated temperature change amount [Delta] T e with temperature table described with respect to FIG. 5 from the temperature determining unit 240. Then, the estimated temperature change amount ΔT e is compared with the rising temperature ΔT u and the smaller value is sent to the brake determination unit 230.

This is shown in FIG. 8, becomes more than a certain elapsed time t value, the estimated temperature change amount [Delta] T e rather elevated temperature [Delta] T u is found to be selected by the comparison portion 256.

As described above, according to the third embodiment, since the rising temperature ΔT u serves as an upper limit for the estimated temperature change amount ΔT e , ΔT e is calculated as a higher temperature as the elapsed time t becomes longer. Can be avoided. In particular, when the vehicle is traveling in a very low temperature or high temperature environment, the estimated temperature change amount ΔTe becomes inaccurate as the elapsed time t from the completion of the zero point correction becomes longer. Can often make an accurate determination.

In the above-described embodiment, it has been described that the influence of the temperature drift is reduced by correcting the detection value of the stroke sensor. However, for example, if the detected value of the stroke sensor is corrected while the brake pedal is being depressed, the target deceleration is also corrected accordingly, which may deteriorate the brake feeling.

Therefore, in each of the embodiments described above, a step of determining whether or not the brake pedal is depressed may be added before correcting the stroke sensor detection value.

Alternatively, instead of correcting the stroke sensor detection value, the braking request determination threshold by the brake determination unit may be corrected according to the ambient temperature of the stroke sensor. For example, instead of subtracting the temperature drift amount from the stroke sensor detection value S as shown in Equation (1) when the temperature increases, the threshold value for determining the braking request is set to a higher value. In other words, the threshold value is set to be larger by the detected value deviation. In this way, it can be determined that there is a braking request when the brake pedal is not depressed, and therefore dragging of the brake caliper can be prevented.
Note that the above-described braking request determination threshold value may be set to a different value when the target deceleration increases and when the target deceleration decreases.
