Dが、切削部14の外径Dであり、
Yが、Xとカッタ軸との間の距離であり、
Zが、Xと前記刃が径Dに達する第1位置の中心との間の軸方向距離であり、
R1が、R2の端部からLまでを含む径であり、Zの値が、Dの2%〜9%であり、
Lが、径Dに配置された切刃の軸方向長さであり、
R2が、点Xを含みZの軸長にわたって延在する湾曲であり、
Bが、フライスの各側面における逃げ角であり、
Cが、直線状径方向線と湾曲した切刃の外端に接する接線との間の角度である。
好ましい値は以下の通りである。
Zの値が、Dの2%〜9%である。
Yの値が、Dの20%〜40%である。R2の値が、Dの5%〜15%の範囲にあり、硬質材料を加工するように構成されたフライスの場合は10%〜15%であり、軟質材料を加工するように意図されたフライスの場合は5%〜10%であるように選択される。
Bの値が、1°〜5°である。
図5に示すCの値が、15°を超える。
Claims (8)
- 切削部に隣接するシャンク部を有する正面フライスであって、前記切削部が、前記正面フライスの中央の軸から径方向に配置された複数の切刃で終端し、
前記中央の軸に最も近い前記切刃の部分が、軸方向において前記シャンク部からもっとも遠い、前記切削部上の点である点Xより、軸方向において前記シャンクに近く、
前記点Xと前記中央の軸との間の距離であるYが、前記正面フライスの直径であるDの20%〜40%であり、
前記複数の切刃の第1の切刃(56、62)は、第1の曲率半径を有する第1の凸状湾曲を備え、
前記複数の切刃の第2の切刃(54、60)は、第2の曲率半径を有する第1の凸状湾曲部と第3の曲率半径を有する第2の凸状湾曲部とを備え、
前記第2の曲率半径及び前記第3の曲率半径は、前記第1の曲率半径より小さく、
前記複数の切刃の第3の切刃(52、58)は、直線部分と、前記第1の曲率半径より小さい、第4の曲率半径を有する凸状湾曲部と、を備えた
ことを特徴とする正面フライス。 - 前記切刃の一部は第1の材料で作成されかつ前記シャンク部の一部は第2の材料で作成され、前記第1の材料は、前記第2の材料の硬さよりも硬い硬さを有する、請求項1に記載の正面フライス。
- 前記第1の材料は、前記軸方向に前記正面フライスの外面に沿って、前記直径Dの約70%〜180%の距離だけ伸びる請求項2に記載の正面フライス。
- 軸の長さLに沿って伸びる半径R2は、前記直径Dの5%〜15%の間の範囲にある、請求項1に記載の正面フライス。
- 前記シャンク部及び前記切削部の一部を通って前記切刃に近接する少なくとも1つの出口まで至る冷却剤導管が設けられている、請求項1に記載の正面フライス。
- 半径方向の直線と前記直径Dでの前記切刃から伸びる接線との間の角度Cは15°よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の正面フライス。
- 前記点Xと前記直径Dとの間の軸の距離Zが、前記直径のDの2%〜9%である、請求項1に記載の正面フライス。
- 前記正面フライスの逃げ角Bが、0.1°〜5°の範囲にある、請求項1に記載の正面フライス。
