また、後者のものは、濾過槽に泡沫分離槽を設けたものでは、有機物と汚泥との浄化作用が著しく悪く、容易に汚染されるため、掃除が大変に面倒な作業となる等の問題点がある。
更に、従来の泡沫分離槽装置は、単独な一つの装置の製品として製作販売されているので、大変に高価であるため、重要な濾過作用をする濾過装置に装設するには、非常に大型となり、経済的にも不適当である問題点もある。
