Claims (37)
- 無線通信システムのための方法であって、
パイロットチャネルによってパイロット信号を、レートインジケータチャネルによってレートインジケータ信号を受信することであって、前記レートインジケータ信号は、前記パイロット信号よりも高い信号電力で受信されることと、
測定されたレートインジケータ信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)に基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定することと
を備えた方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、前記レートインジケータ信号は、データチャネルによってデータ信号が受信されたデータレートを示すことを備えた方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法において、前記データ信号は、前記レートインジケータ信号及び前記パイロット信号よりも高い信号電力レベルにおいて前記データチャネルによって受信される方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法において更に、
前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信される前記データレートに基づいて、前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の第一のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定することを備えた方法。 - 請求項4に記載の方法において、前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定することは更に、
前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)とに基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定することを備えた方法。 - 請求項4に記載の方法において更に、
前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信されたデータレートに基づいて、前記データ信号とパイロット信号との間の第二のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定することを更に備えた方法。 - 請求項6に記載の方法において更に、
前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)と、前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記第二のチップ毎エネルギー比とに少なくとも基づいて前記データ信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定することを備えた方法。 - 装置であって、
パイロットチャネルによってパイロット信号を、レートインジケータチャネルによってレートインジケータ信号を送信する少なくとも一つの送信機であって、前記レートインジケータ信号は、前記パイロット信号とは異なる信号電力レベルで送信される少なくとも一つの送信機と、
前記パイロット信号及びレートインジケータ信号を受信する少なくとも一つの受信機とを備え、
前記受信機は、前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)に基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定する装置。 - 請求項8に記載の装置において、
前記レートインジケータ信号は、データ信号がデータチャネルによって前記送信機から受信されたデータレートを示す装置。 - 請求項9に記載の装置において、
前記データ信号は、前記レートインジケータ信号及び前記パイロット信号よりも高い信号電力レベルで前記データチャネルによって受信される装置。 - 請求項9に記載の装置において、
前記受信機は、前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信された前記データレートに基づいて前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の第一のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定する装置。 - 請求項11に記載の装置において、
前記受信機は、前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)とに基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定する装置。 - 請求項11に記載の装置において、
前記受信機は、前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信された前記データレートに基づいて前記データ信号とパイロット信号との間の第二のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定する装置。 - 請求項13に記載の装置において、
前記受信機は、少なくとも前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)と、前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記第二のチップ毎エネルギー比とに基づいて、前記データ信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定する装置。 - 請求項8に記載の装置において、
前記送信機は移動端末であり、前記受信機は基地トランシーバサイトである装置。 - 請求項8に記載の装置において、
前記送信機と前記受信機とは、符号分割多元接続(CDMA)スキームを経由して通信する装置。 - デバイスであって、
パイロットチャネルによってパイロット信号を、レートインジケータチャネルによってレートインジケータ信号を受信する受信機であって、前記レートインジケータ信号は、前記パイロット信号とは異なる信号電力で受信される受信機と、
測定されたレートインジケータ信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)に基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定するプロセッサと
を備えたデバイス。 - 請求項17に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記レートインジケータ信号は、データ信号がデータチャネルを介して前記受信機によって受信されたデータレートを示すデバイス。 - 請求項18に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記データ信号が、前記レートインジケータ信号及び前記パイロット信号よりも高い信号電力レベルで前記データチャネルによって受信されるデバイス。 - 請求項18に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記プロセッサが、前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信された前記データレートに基づいて前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の第一のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定するデバイス。 - 請求項20に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記プロセッサが、前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)とに基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定するデバイス。 - 請求項20に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記プロセッサが、前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信された前記データレートに基づいて前記データ信号とパイロット信号との間の第二のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定するデバイス。 - 請求項22に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記プロセッサが、少なくとも前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)と、前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記第二のチップ毎エネルギー比とに基づいて、前記データ信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定するデバイス。 - 移動端末であって、
パイロットチャネルによってパイロット信号を、レートインジケータチャネルによってレートインジケータ信号を基地トランシーバサイトに送信する送信機であって、前記レートインジケータ信号は、前記パイロット信号とは異なる信号電力レベルで送信される送信機を備え、
前記基地トランシーバサイトが、前記パイロット信号及びレートインジケータ信号を受信し、前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)に基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定する移動端末。 - 請求項24に記載の移動端末において、
前記レートインジケータ信号は、データ信号がデータチャネルを介して前記基地トランシーバサイトによって受信されたデータレートを示す移動端末。 - 請求項25に記載の移動端末において、
前記データ信号は、前記レートインジケータ信号及び前記パイロット信号よりも高い信号電力レベルで前記データチャネルによって受信される移動端末。 - 請求項25に記載の移動端末において、
前記基地トランシーバサイトが、前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信された前記データレートに基づいて前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の第一のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定する移動端末。 - 請求項27に記載の移動端末において、
前記基地トランシーバサイトが、前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)とに基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定する移動端末。 - 請求項27に記載の移動端末において、
前記基地トランシーバサイトが、前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信された前記データレートに基づいて前記データ信号とパイロット信号との間の第二のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定する移動端末。 - 請求項29に記載の移動端末において、
前記基地トランシーバサイトが、少なくとも前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)と、前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記第二のチップ毎エネルギー比とに基づいて、前記データ信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定する移動端末。 - コンピュータ読取可能媒体であって、
パイロットチャネルによってパイロット信号を、レートインジケータチャネルによってレートインジケータ信号を、受信機に受信させる命令群であって、前記レートインジケータ信号は、前記パイロット信号とは異なる信号電力で受信される命令群と、
前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)に基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定させる命令群と
を備えたコンピュータ読取可能媒体。 - 請求項31に記載のコンピュータ読取可能媒体において、
前記レートインジケータ信号は、データチャネルによってデータ信号が受信されたデータレートを示すコンピュータ読取可能媒体。 - 請求項32に記載のコンピュータ読取可能媒体において、
前記データ信号は、前記レートインジケータ信号及び前記パイロット信号よりも高い信号電力レベルにおいて前記データチャネルによって受信されるコンピュータ読取可能媒体。 - 請求項32に記載のコンピュータ読取可能媒体において更に、
前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信される前記データレートに基づいて、前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の第一のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定させる命令群を備えたコンピュータ読取可能媒体。 - 請求項34に記載のコンピュータ読取可能媒体において、前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定させる命令群は更に、
前記レートインジケータ信号とパイロット信号との間の前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)とに基づいて前記パイロット信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定させる命令群を備えたコンピュータ読取可能媒体。 - 請求項34に記載のコンピュータ読取可能媒体において更に、
前記データ信号が前記データチャネルによって受信されたデータレートに基づいて、前記データ信号とパイロット信号との間の第二のチップ毎エネルギー比を決定させる命令群を更に備えたコンピュータ読取可能媒体。 - 請求項36に記載のコンピュータ読取可能媒体において更に、
少なくとも前記レートインジケータ信号の測定された信号対雑音比(SNR)と、前記第一のチップ毎エネルギー比と、前記第二のチップ毎エネルギー比とに基づいて、前記データ信号の信号対雑音比(SNR)を決定させる命令群を備えたコンピュータ読取可能媒体。
