比較例1は、コバルト系正極活物質を使用した電池で、電流遮断圧を6kgf/cm2に設定し、ベント破断圧を26kgf/cm2に設定した。比較例2は、コバルト系正極活物質を使用した電池で、電流遮断圧を7kgf/cm2に設定し、ベント破断圧を30kgf/cm2に設定した。表1を見てみると、比較例1及び比較例2は、第1、2、3項目の全ての項目を満足させることが分かる。
実施例1は、3元系正極活物質を使用した電池で、電流遮断圧を8kgf/cm2に設定し、ベント破断圧を20kgf/cm2に設定して、正極活物質にLiCO3を0.5wt%添加した。

- 前記正極活物質は、前記集電体に塗布される、請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の2次電池。
- 前記集電体は、アルミニウムを含む、請求項15に記載の2次電池。
- 正極、負極、及び前記正極及び負極の間に介在するセパレータを含む電極組立体、前記電極組立体が内蔵されるケース、及び前記ケースに締結されるキャップ組立体を含み、前記正極は、集電体、及び前記集電体に形成される正極活物質を含み、前記キャップ組立体は、ベントプレート及び電流遮断部を含み、前記ベントプレートは、切欠を含む2次電池の形成方法において、前記ケースの内部で電流遮断圧A(kgf/cm2)によって電気的連結を遮断する前記電流遮断部を構成し、前記ケースの内部でベント破断圧B(kgf/cm2)によってベントプレートを破断する切欠を構成し、前記2次電池が容量X(Ah)を有するように構成されて、
前記正極活物質は、3元系(NCM;Lithium
Nickel−Cobalt−Manganese Oxide、LiNiCoMnO2)正極活物質であって、
前記2次電池が数式A/B=1.22−0.39X+D(但し、−0.08≦D≦0.08、2.0≦X≦2.4)を満たすように構成する、2次電池の形成方法。
