Description
The present invention relates to a mobile phone equipped with a hands-free function, and more particularly to a technology for switching from a normal call mode to a hands-free mode.
A mobile phone is highly convenient because it can be used anywhere and anytime due to its portability. However, since it is possible to talk while driving or walking, a hands-free function is supported in consideration of safety and convenience.
In the conventional hands-free function, an earphone and a microphone are connected to a mobile phone via a connector, and a call is made through the earphone and the microphone.
However, in recent years, even without using an earphone or microphone, by pressing the mode switch button, etc., it can be output from the speaker of the mobile phone body at a volume that can be heard even if the other party's voice is far away, and with a microphone The user's voice can be picked up and transmitted to the other party.
As described above, since the hands-free function can be executed without requiring an accessory such as a microphone or an earphone in addition to the mobile phone, the uses of the hands-free function have been expanded. For example, it may be placed on a desk during a meeting and all participants will hear the speech of the other party, or the speech of multiple participants may be communicated to the other party.
According to this technology, there is an advantage that a call in the hands-free mode can be started only by sandwiching the casing of the mobile phone in the chest pocket without pressing the switch button to the hands-free mode.
However, with this technology, when using the hands-free function with multiple people at a meeting or the like, it is necessary to fold something between the folding mobile phone and place it on the desk. It takes more time than pressing it and placing it on the desk. In addition, there is a disadvantage that it must be a foldable mobile phone.
Furthermore, a sensor that detects that the casing of the mobile phone is folded and a sensor that detects that something is sandwiched between the casings are required, and the number of parts of the mobile phone increases. This is a factor that hinders downsizing of the mobile phone.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a mobile phone capable of improving the operability of switching to the hands-free mode.
In order to solve the above problems, a mobile phone of the present invention includes a sound output means for outputting sound, a call means for executing a call function using the sound output means, an acceleration sensor for detecting an acceleration value, Based on storage means for storing information relating to acceleration values, and acceleration values detected by the acceleration sensor and information relating to acceleration values stored in the storage means during execution of a call function by the call means And control means for increasing the sound output by the sound output means.
Since the mobile phone according to the present invention has the above-described configuration, in recent years, a call is being made based on acceleration values detected by acceleration sensors provided in many mobile phones and information on stored acceleration values. Because it is possible to detect the occurrence of a specific acceleration change, the output sound can be increased when the occurrence of a specific change is detected without the user having to press a button, improving operability. To do.
<概要>
<Embodiment>
<Overview>
The present invention focuses on the fact that a mobile phone is often placed on a desk or the like when a hands-free function is used.
Normally, when switching to hands-free mode, first place the receiver on your ear to make a normal call, press the mode switch button to switch to hands-free mode, and then place the mobile phone on the desk. Do.
In the present invention, since the operation of pressing the mode switching button and the operation of placing on the desk are a series of operations, it is determined that these two operations have been performed only by the operation of placing on the desk. Switch to hands-free mode to improve operability.
Further, in recent years, in addition to using an acceleration sensor mounted on many mobile phones, there is an advantage that parts such as a dedicated button for switching to the hands-free mode become unnecessary.

In this graph, the acceleration value in the X-axis and Z-axis directions is 0 (zero) G, and the acceleration value in the Y-axis direction is −1G. Because it is hand-held, there are always small changes.

In the case of installation in FIG. 7, the acceleration values of the X axis, the Y axis, and the Z axis change slowly and settle down.
On the other hand, when dropped as shown in FIG. 8, the rate of change is faster and the range of change is larger than the graph of FIG.
<Judgment method>
The
There are a number of such determination methods, but here, the determination is made based on the time from when the acceleration value starts to change until it becomes a stationary state and the magnitude of the change per unit time.
First, it is assumed that the acceleration
As shown in FIG. 7, in the second period, when a large change starts from a change in a small width of the acceleration value when the mobile phone is held by hand, the second period is stationary, that is, the change is zero. The first period indicates the time after the transition to the stationary state. In other words, the second period is the time from when the cellular phone is held in the hand until it is placed, and the first period is the time for determining that the cellular phone has been placed.
The unit time is a unit time for calculating a change in acceleration value, and the predetermined value is a change amount of the acceleration per unit time in the second period.
These four values are measured and set to optimum values.
The
Thereafter, when the amount of change is equal to the time indicated by the first period after the time of zero, when the measured period is equal to or longer than the time indicated by the second period, it is determined that the case is “placed”.
For example, the second period “t11” in FIG. 8 showing the change in the acceleration value when “falling” is shorter than the second period “t10” in FIG. Since the change of the value is large, it is not determined that “when placed”.
Next, another determination method will be described.
The acceleration
The
r = ρx, y = {[1/n] Σj=1 n ( xj-μx ) ( yj-μy) } / σx σy
Specifically, a correlation coefficient between the time-series acceleration value stored in the acceleration
r = ρ x, y = {[1 / n] Σ j = 1 n (x j -μ x ) (y j -μ y )} / σ x σ y
The
For example, if the absolute value of the obtained correlation coefficient r is 0.8 or more and +1 or less, it is determined that there is a correlation, that is, “when placed”.
The correlation period, specifically, the time-series acceleration value period stored in the acceleration
In the present embodiment, when the first period has elapsed after detecting a change in the acceleration value in the second period, it is determined whether or not it is “when placed”, but it is determined when the second period has elapsed. It is good to do.
In the case where the determination is made when the second period has elapsed, there is an advantage of switching to the hands-free mode immediately after placing.
<動作>
On the other hand, when the determination is made when the first period has elapsed, there is an advantage that more accurate determination can be made. If the determination in only the second period is incorrect, for example, jumping during a call in the normal mode, When you lie down, you can avoid being surprised by the sound coming from the speakers at your ears.
<Operation>
Hereinafter, the operation of the above-described mobile phone will be described with reference to FIG.

Receiving the notification that the call has started, the
The acceleration value is stored in the internal working memory for a predetermined period, and the change is observed. The predetermined period here may be a period longer than “t10” in FIG. Specifically, the acceleration value for a predetermined time is stored retroactively from the latest acceleration value acquired from the
The

Thereafter, the user presses the call end button, and the
Upon receiving the notification, the

Upon receiving the stop instruction, the
On the other hand, when the
As described above, in the embodiment of the mobile phone according to the present invention, when the mobile phone is placed on a desk or the like, a change in acceleration of the placing operation is detected and the mode is shifted to the hands-free mode. In addition, special parts for shifting to the hands-free mode are not required, and key operations for shifting to the hands-free mode are not required, thereby reducing costs and improving user convenience.
<補足>
