Description
The present invention relates to a suspension arm structure for a vehicle in which a connecting portion between a drive shaft for transmitting power from an engine and a universal joint on a wheel side is covered with a boot.
In this vehicle, the connecting portion between the drive shaft and the wheel is constituted by a universal joint, and the connecting portion between the drive shaft and the universal joint is covered with a boot, and this boot is removed from the wheel wheel depth (rim width). It sticks out toward you. The suspension arm of this vehicle is formed in a substantially U shape by connecting one end of the front and rear pipes, and the other end is supported by the body frame so as to be swingable, so that there is a gap between the front and rear pipes. ing.
When the vehicle body is viewed from below, the boot is exposed from the gap between the pipes before and after the suspension arm. Therefore, when traveling on rough terrain, a protective member such as a guard may be provided between the pipes before and after the suspension arm.
However, in the conventional configuration, the structure of the suspension arm becomes complicated due to the provision of the protection member. For example, the suspension arm needs to have a shape that secures the attachment space for the protection member, or the suspension arm has a structure for attaching the protection member. It was necessary to provide a bracket. Further, it is expected that the number of parts and the weight will be increased by providing a protective member separately.
The present invention has been made in view of the circumstances described above, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a suspension arm structure that can avoid the complexity of the structure of the suspension arm and can suppress an increase in the number of parts and an increase in weight. .
In order to solve the above-described problems, the present invention swings to the frame (4) via a suspension arm including an upper arm (82) and a lower arm (83) disposed below the upper arm (82). freely and independently suspending left and right wheels (3), comprising a power-driven shaft for transmitting (14) from the engine (5) to each wheel (3), is connected to the wheel (3a) of the wheel (3) and the hub (86), the knuckle (84) connecting the knuckle support part (110) of the suspension arm via, to the axle (87) coupled to the hub (86) is a universal joint (88a) connected the drive shaft (14) via, in the suspension arm structure covering the connecting part boots (89a), the knuckle support part of the suspension arm (110), said wheel Extending to the inside of the vehicle body from the rim (3b) of 3a) is formed of a plate member that covers the boot (89a) downward, the lower arm (83) includes a substantially U-shaped pipe member (100), the pipe The knuckle support portion (110) attached to the bent portion on the distal end side of the member (100), and the knuckle support portion (110) has a central portion (120a) that is substantially raised in the center in the vehicle longitudinal direction. ), And a front part (120b) and a rear part (120c) arranged on the front and rear sides of the central part (120a), the central part (120a), the front part (120b) and the rear part ( 120c) are welded separately on the upper side and the lower side of the bent portion of the pipe member (100), and the front portion (120b) is forward of the tip of the knuckle support portion (110). Bulge into Bulging portion is provided that is characterized in that the cushion unit (80) is interposed between the said lower arm (83) frame (4).
According to the present invention, the knuckle support portion of the suspension arm is formed of the plate member that extends from the wheel rim to the inside of the vehicle body and covers the lower portion of the boot, so that the knuckle support portion can protect the boot from flying stones and obstacles. it can. Further, as compared with the case where a separate outboard side boot cover is provided, an increase in the number of parts and an increase in weight can be suppressed, and a complicated structure of the suspension arm can be avoided.
In this case, the knuckle support portion (110) has a substantially U-shaped cross section, and the cushion unit (80) and the knuckle (84) are arranged between the front and rear side walls (111a, 111b) forming the U-shape. It is preferable that the cushion units (80) are arranged side by side and cover the lower end of the cushion unit (80) in a bottom view .
In this case, it is preferable that the height of the bulge of the central portion (120a) increases from the tip end portion (111) of the knuckle support portion (110) toward the vehicle body center side in the vehicle width direction.
In this case, the lower arm (83) is supported by the knuckle support portion (110) such that the lower end of the cushion (80) is coaxial and positioned on the front side of the vehicle body relative to the knuckle (84). The portion (110) is formed by bending a plate member, and a support shaft (113) is attached to the front and rear side walls (111a, 111b) so as to be sandwiched between the side walls (111a, 111b). The knuckle (84) and the lower end of the cushion unit (80) arranged side by side on the vehicle body front side of the knuckle (84) are supported by the support shaft (113), and the knuckle (84) and the lower arm are supported. The knuckle support part (110) (83), the lower end of the cushion (80), and one end of the drive shaft (14) face the inside of the rim (3b) of the wheel (3). It is not preferable to be urchin arranged.

The
A
As shown in FIGS. 6A to 6C, the
The
When the rear wheel 3 is connected to the
As described above, in the present embodiment, the
In addition, since the
As mentioned above, although this invention was demonstrated based on one Embodiment, it is clear that this invention is not limited to this. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the case where the
