Description
Claims (10)
- エンジンの内燃室(11)から排気ガスを導出するための排気ガスパイプ(15,16)と、該燃焼室に空気を供給するための吸気パイプ(12)と、該エンジンの排気ガス流からエネルギーを回収するためと該エンジンの吸気を圧縮するために、高圧コンプレッサ(19)と相互作用する高圧タービン(17)と低圧コンプレッサ(23)と相互作用する低圧タービン(21)とを有して該高圧タービン(17)がダクト(20)を介して該低圧タービン(21)に接続されるターボチャージシステムと、を備える内燃エンジン(10)において、該高圧タービン(17)と該低圧タービン(21)との間の該ダクト(20)に排気ガス圧力調整器(20a)が設けられ、前記ダクト(20)は、外壁(39)と該外壁(39)の内側に同心に配置された中央部(40)とを有し、前記中央部(40)には、前記ダクトの流路面積を調整するために、該中央部(40)と前記外壁(39)との間で軸方向に移動できる制御ピストン(42)が設けられ、該制御ピストン(42)を備える前記ガス圧力調整器(20a)が該エンジンの排気ガス圧により自動調整されることを特徴とする内燃エンジン。
- 前記低圧タービン(21)がアキシャルタイプであり、前記ダクト(20)は、回転軸を中心として対称であるとともに該低圧タービン(21)に向かう方向に増大する断面を有する外壁(39)と、該低圧タービンに向かう方向に増大する断面を有して前記外壁の内側に同心に配置された中央部(40)と、で形成される円形断面を有することとを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記中央部(40)には、前記ダクトの流路面積を調整するために、該中央部と前記外壁(39)との間で軸方向に移動できるように該中央部に取り付けられた制御ピストン(42)が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記制御ピストン(42)は、前記低圧タービン(21)の吸気部に取り付けられたステータリング(34)に装着されたシャフト(41)に、移動可能に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記制御ピストン(42)は、ばね装置(45)の作用に反して二つの移動端部位置の間で移動可能になっていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記制御ピストン(42)は、前記ばね装置(45)の力の方向と反対の方向に作用する圧縮媒体の作用により、非作用開位置と作用閉位置との間で移動可能になっていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記制御ピストン(42)と前記シャフト(41)とが、圧縮媒体の排出量が可変である円形室(43)を一緒に形成することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記シャフト(41)と前記ステータリング(34)とに延在する圧縮媒体(47)用のダクトを介して、前記円形室(43)が該ダクト(20)の外側の圧縮媒体の接続部に接続されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記制御ピストン(42)は、前記中央部(40)の内室(50)で移動することができ、前記排気ガス圧力調整器(20a)の制御圧力の圧力均衡のためダクト(51)を介して該排気ガス圧力調整器の上流の圧力による作用を受けるピストン面(48)を有することを特徴とする請求項3ないし8のいずれかに記載の内燃エンジン。
- 前記制御ピストン(42)は、非作用制御位置において、前記中央部と前記ステータリング(34)との間に該中央部(40)の軸方向延長部を形成する外壁面を有するとともに、作用制御位置において、該外壁と該中央部(40)との間に該外壁(39)の軸方向延長部を形成する内壁面を有するオープンシリンダとして形成されることを特徴とする請求項3ないし9に記載の内燃エンジン。
