Description

The present invention relates to a cutting device, and more particularly to a cutting device that cuts a wide cylindrical workpiece into a loop having a predetermined width.

Conventionally, as this type of cutting device, an annular shearing cutter is provided for each of the driving roll and the driven roll arranged in parallel to the driving roll, and the ring-shaped material W as a work wound around the driven roll is driven. A material that cuts a ring-shaped material W into a ring shape having a predetermined width by pressing a roll has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In this apparatus, the step variability caused by the deviation of the shearing start position and the end position by shearing the ring-shaped material W between the shearing cutter provided on the driving roll and the shearing cutter provided on the driven roll. It is said that such problems can be suppressed.
JP 2002-144139 A

Although the cutting device of the type described above can suppress the step burr, the shearing process sometimes breaks at the end of the workpiece in the thickness direction when the workpiece is sheared. The generated burrs can be removed by a subsequent polishing step for chamfering the corners of the shear surface to form an R shape. However, since the polishing time becomes longer, the consumption of the grindstone (sub-material) increases. It may be necessary to install additional polishing equipment. In particular, when the cutting device is used for manufacturing a loop in a belt type continuously variable transmission in which a belt is constituted by a loop and an element, a relatively high accuracy is required for the side surface shape of the loop. Is greatly closed up.

The main purpose of the cutting apparatus of the present invention is to suppress the generation of burrs when a wide cylindrical workpiece is cut into a loop having a predetermined width.

The cutting device of the present invention employs the following means in order to achieve the main object described above.

The cutting device of the present invention comprises:
A cutting device for cutting a wide cylindrical workpiece into a loop having a predetermined width,
The first cutting edge is formed in a circular shape with a single-edged cutting edge formed on the outer peripheral edge, and the workpiece is sandwiched by two rotary blades each having a first inner blade and a first outer blade arranged opposite to each other. 1 rotary blade set;
The second inner blade and the first inner blade, which are formed in a circular shape and have a one-blade edge formed on the outer peripheral edge and are arranged in parallel and opposed to each other, substantially on the same plane as the first outer blade. A second rotary blade set for cutting the workpiece with two rotary blades composed of a second outer blade on the same plane;
A drive unit that rotates the work so that the work is cut in a loop shape and that compresses the work with each of the first rotary blade set and the second rotary blade set;
It is a summary to provide.

In the cutting device of the present invention, a first rotary blade set that is formed in a circular shape and has a one-blade edge formed on the outer peripheral edge and cuts the workpiece with two rotary blades arranged in parallel and facing each other; A second inner blade and a first inner blade substantially flush with the first outer blade, which are formed in a circular shape and have a blade edge of a single blade formed on the outer peripheral edge and arranged in parallel with each other. Using the second rotary blade set that is sandwiched and cut between two rotary blades composed of the upper second outer blade, the workpiece is rotated so that the workpiece is cut in a loop shape, and the first rotary blade The workpiece is narrowed with the set and the second rotary blade set. As a result, the workpiece is broken near the center in the thickness direction, so that it is possible to suppress the occurrence of burrs when the wide cylindrical workpiece is cut into a loop having a predetermined width.

In such a cutting apparatus of the present invention, the first outer blade and the first inner blade, and the second outer blade and the second inner blade are formed so that the blade edges can overlap each other. It can also be. In this way, the workpiece can be more reliably cut into a loop.

Further, in the cutting device of the present invention, the first outer blade and the second outer blade, and the first inner blade and the second inner blade are arranged so as to overlap with each other in a state where the rotation axes are eccentric from each other. It can also be made. If it carries out like this, a 1st outer blade and a 2nd outer blade, a 1st inner blade and a 2nd inner blade can be arrange | positioned easily.

Further, in the cutting device according to the present invention, the drive unit includes the outer blade and the inner blade so that the outer blade and the inner blade are in contact with the workpiece and the workpiece is rotated a plurality of times to complete cutting. The blade can be gradually brought close to the blade. In this way, the fracture surface can be formed closer to the center in the thickness direction of the workpiece, and the fracture surface can be made as small as possible. Furthermore, the cross-sectional shape at the start and end points of cutting can be made substantially uniform with the cross-sectional shape at the intermediate point.

Moreover, the cutting device of this invention WHEREIN: The said rotary blade shall also have a blade edge | tip formed with an angle of 30-60 degrees. If it carries out like this, it can chamfer a cut surface with the cutting | disconnection of a workpiece | work. As a result, the machining allowance can be reduced when barrel polishing is performed in a later step. In this case, the rotary blade may have a cutting edge formed at an angle of approximately 45 degrees.

Furthermore, the cutting device of the present invention can be used for manufacturing the loop in a belt type continuously variable transmission in which a belt is constituted by a loop and an element. When used for manufacturing a loop of a belt-type continuously variable transmission, a relatively high accuracy is required for the side surface shape of the loop, so that it is significant to apply the present invention.

Next, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described using examples.

FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram showing an outline of the configuration of a cutting device 20 as an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. The cutting device 20 according to the embodiment is configured as a device for cutting a wide cylindrical workpiece W into a loop having a predetermined width, and as shown in the drawing, a workpiece feeding device 30 that feeds the workpiece W while holding it. The rotary blade unit 50 disposed on the inner circumferential side with respect to the workpiece W fed by the workpiece feeding device 30, the rotary blade unit 60 disposed on the outer circumferential side with respect to the workpiece W, and the rotary blade unit 50 A moving unit 70 that moves in a direction orthogonal to the feed direction of W and a moving unit 80 that similarly moves the rotary blade unit 60 in a direction perpendicular to the feed direction of the workpiece W are provided. In addition, the loop cut | disconnected by the cutting device 20 of an Example is connected to many metal elements formed in V-shape by processing to predetermined length by rolling after that, and a belt is comprised. It is used as a loop in a belt type continuously variable transmission (CVT).

As shown in FIG. 2, the workpiece feeding device 30 includes a gripping portion 32 that grips a workpiece W by an air cylinder 31, a spindle unit 34 that is rotatably attached to the gripping portion 32, and a rotating shaft 34 a of the spindle unit 34. A motor 36 connected via a timing belt 35 and a feed mechanism 40 attached to a mounting table 38 on which the spindle unit 34 is mounted are provided. The feed mechanism 40 includes a frame 42 having a guide rail 41 laid on the upper surface, a slider 43 attached to the mounting table 38 and sliding on the guide rail 41, and a nut 45 attached to the mounting table 38 via a bracket 44. And a servo motor 49 connected to the ball screw 47 via a coupling 48. The servo motor 49 is connected to the ball screw 47 via a bearing 48a. By driving, the mounting table 38 can be reciprocated to feed the workpiece W gripped by the grip portion 32.

As shown in FIG. 1, the rotary blade unit 50 is fixed to a support base 58, and includes two inner cutters 52 and 54 that press the inner peripheral surface of the workpiece W against the workpiece W. The two rotary blades 52 and 54 as inner blades are both circular and have a single-blade edge formed on the outer peripheral edge. The rotary blade 52 is rotatable by a bearing 53 with respect to the rotary blade 52 so as to be rotatable independently of each other. The bearings 55 are rotatably supported by the support members 51 fixed to the support base 58, respectively. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing a cross section that is 90 degrees different from the rotary blade unit 50 of FIG. As shown in the drawing, the two rotary blades 52 and 54 are supported by the support member 51 in a state where the rotation axes are eccentric by a value L from each other.

As shown in FIG. 1, the rotary blade unit 60 is fixed to a support base 68 and includes two outer blades 62 and 64 that press the outer peripheral surface against the workpiece W. The two rotary blades 62 and 64 as outer blades are both circular and have a single blade edge formed on the outer peripheral edge, and the rotary blade 62 can be rotated independently of each other by a bearing 63. The bearings 65 are rotatably supported by the support members 61 fixed to the support base 68 respectively. Although not shown, the two rotary blades 62 and 64 of the rotary blade unit 60 are also supported by the support member 61 in a state where the rotary shaft is eccentric, similarly to the two rotary blades 52 and 54 of the rotary blade unit 50. Yes.

FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram showing a state in which the rotary blades 52, 54, 62, and 64 are in pressure contact with the workpiece W. The rotary blade unit 50 and the rotary blade unit 60 function as a pair of rotary blades in which a rotary blade 52 as an inner blade and a rotary blade 62 as an outer blade are inserted between the inner peripheral side and the outer peripheral side. The rotary blade 54 as the inner blade and the rotary blade 64 as the outer blade function as a pair of rotary blades that cut the workpiece W between the inner peripheral side and the outer peripheral side. The rotary blade 52 as an inner blade is arranged on the same plane as the rotary blade 64 different from the rotary blade 62 as a pair of outer blades, and the rotary blade 54 as an inner blade rotates as a pair of outer blades. The rotary blade 62 different from the blade 64 is disposed on the same plane. Therefore, it is possible to make a cut by sandwiching the workpiece W by the rotary blade 52 and the rotary blade 62 and making a cut from the opposite side by sandwiching the workpiece W by the rotary blade 54 and the rotary blade 64. When the rotary blade units 50 and 60 cut the workpiece W, the blade edge of the rotary blade 52 and the blade edge of the rotary blade 62 overlap each other without the blade edge of the rotary blade 52 and the blade edge of the rotary blade 64 interfering with each other. In addition, the cutting edge of the rotary blade 54 and the cutting edge of the rotary blade 64 are adjusted so that the cutting edge of the rotary blade 54 and the cutting edge of the rotary blade 64 do not interfere with each other.

As shown in FIG. 1, the moving units 70 and 80 are respectively attached to frames 72 and 82 on which guide rails 71 and 81 are laid, and support bases 58 and 68 that support the rotary blade units 50 and 60, respectively. The sliders 73 and 83 slide on the 71 and 81, and the nuts 75 and 85 attached to the support bases 58 and 68 via the brackets 74 and 84. The bearings 76a, 76b, 86a, and 86b are engaged with the frames 72 and 82, respectively. , And servo motors 79 and 89 connected to the ball screws 77 and 87 through couplings 78 and 88, respectively, to drive the servo motors 79 and 89. By doing so, the support bases 58 and 68 can be reciprocated in a direction orthogonal to the feed direction of the workpiece W. Since the support blades 58 and 68 are respectively fixed to the rotary blade units 50 and 60, the support blades 58 and 68 are reciprocated in a direction orthogonal to the feed direction of the workpiece W to thereby rotate the rotary blade units 50 and 68. 60 can be reciprocated in a direction orthogonal to the feed direction of the workpiece W.

Next, operation | movement of the cutting device 20 of the Example comprised in this way is demonstrated. For cutting the workpiece W, the air cylinder 31 is driven, the workpiece W is gripped by the gripping portion 32, the servomotor 49 is driven and controlled, and the workpiece W is fed out by a necessary amount, and the motor 36 is driven and controlled. While rotating, the servo motor 79 of the moving unit 70 is driven and controlled so that the rotary blade unit 50 is pressed against the inner peripheral surface of the workpiece W, and the servo motor of the moving unit 80 is pressed so that the rotary blade unit 60 is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the workpiece W. This is done by driving and controlling 89. FIG. 5 is an explanatory view showing a state in which the workpiece W is cut into a loop having a predetermined width using the two sets of rotary blade units 50 and 60 of the embodiment, and FIG. 6 is a set of rotary blades of a comparative example. It is explanatory drawing which shows a mode that the workpiece | work W is cut | disconnected in the loop shape of predetermined width using the unit 150. FIG. In addition, the rotary blade unit 150 of the comparative example is configured by arranging rotary blades 152 and 154 having a circular shape and a single-edged blade edge on the outer peripheral edge so as to face each other in parallel. In the embodiment, as shown in the drawing, while rotating the workpiece W by driving the motor 36, the workpiece W is narrowed by the pair of rotary blades 52 and 62 to start cutting, and at the same time, the rotation of the latter pair The workpiece W is narrowed by the blade 54 and the rotary blade 64, and cutting is started from the opposite side to the rotary blade 52 and the rotary blade 62 (see FIG. 5A), so that the workpiece W is gradually deepened. The moving units 70 and 80 are driven so that the paired rotary blade 52 and the rotary blade 62 gradually approach each other and the paired rotary blade 54 and the rotary blade 64 gradually approach each other (FIG. 5B and FIG. 5B). (Refer FIG.5 (c)). In the embodiment, the rotation speed of the workpiece W by the motor 36, the movement speed of the rotary blade unit 50 by the movement unit 70, and the movement unit 80 are such that the cutting of the workpiece W is completed when the workpiece W rotates about 10 to 15 times. The moving speed of the rotary blade unit 60 is set. Therefore, when the workpiece W is sheared by the subsequent rotary blade 54 and the rotary blade 64, the workpiece W is broken near the center in the thickness direction, so that no burrs are generated on the cut surface of the workpiece W (FIG. 5). (See (d)). When the workpiece W is sheared, the cutting edge of the paired rotary blade 52 and the cutting edge of the rotary blade 62 slightly overlap each other, and the cutting edge of the paired rotating blade 54 and the cutting edge of the rotary blade 64 are slightly different from each other. The amount overlaps. On the other hand, in the comparative example, the workpiece W is sandwiched and sheared by the pair of rotary blades 152 and 154 (see FIGS. 6A and 6B). Therefore, the end face of the workpiece W in the direction of removing the rotary blade 154 as the outer blade is broken and a burr is generated (see FIG. 6C).

According to the cutting device 20 of the embodiment described above, the rotary blade unit 50 including two rotary blades 52 and 54 as inner blades pressed against the workpiece W from the inner circumferential side and the workpiece W from the outer circumferential side. Using a rotary blade unit 60 composed of two rotary blades 62 and 64 as outer blades that are in pressure contact with each other, a workpiece W is formed using a rotary blade 52 as an inner blade and a rotary blade 62 as an outer blade as a pair of rotary blade sets. The workpiece W is cut by inserting the workpiece W from the opposite side on the same circumference with the rotary blade 54 as the inner blade and the rotary blade 64 as the outer blade as a pair of rotary blade sets. Since it cut | disconnects in loop shape, a fracture | rupture can be produced in the approximate center of the thickness direction of the workpiece | work W, and generation | occurrence | production of the burr | flash at the time of a cutting | disconnection can be suppressed. As a result, there is no need to provide a process for removing burrs in the subsequent stage, or when a subsequent polishing process is performed to chamfer the cut surface into a round (R) shape, the time for the polishing process can be shortened. Consumption of the grindstone used in the polishing process can be suppressed. Moreover, since the cutting edges of the rotary blades 52, 54, 62, and 64 are formed at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, the workpiece W can be cut and the cut surface can be chamfered. As a result, the load of the polishing process can be further reduced.

In the cutting device 20 of the embodiment, the blades of the rotary blades 52 and 54 of the rotary blade unit 50 and the rotary blades 62 and 64 of the rotary blade unit 60 are formed at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, but functions as a circular single blade. If it does, it may be formed at any angle. However, in order to effectively chamfer the cut surface of the workpiece W, it is desirable to form it at an angle in the range of 30 to 60 degrees.

In the cutting device 20 of the embodiment, the belt type continuously variable transmission in which the belt is configured by the loop and the element is used for manufacturing the loop. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the belt type continuously variable transmission is used. It is good also as what is used for manufacture of loops other than the loop of a transmission.
