の関係を満たすものであることが好ましい。したがって、上刃4の厚みtは、tanθ=t/dの関係が満たされる値とすることが好ましく、θ及びdにより変化するが、1〜12mmであることが好ましく、1.1〜5mmであることがより好ましく、1.7〜4mmであることが特に好ましい。
図1に示したものと同様の構成を有するスリッター装置において、上刃及び下刃として表1に示す硬度及び表面粗さを有するものをそれぞれ用いて実施例1〜2及び比較例1〜8のスリッター装置を作製した。ここで、硬度はダイヤモンド正四角錐圧子を備えたビッカース硬度計(島津製作所製、HMV−FA)により20点測定を行い、測定結果を算術平均して求めた。表面粗さは触針式表面粗さ計(テーラーホブソン社製、タリステップ)を用いて、刃面において2mmの走査を行なったときの表面粗さプロファイルから求めた。なお、上刃としては、厚み(t)が3.41mm、直径が10.5mm、刃先角度(θ)が85°、下刃との噛み合わせ深さ(d)が300μmであるものを用い、隣り合う上刃同士の間隔が50mmとなるように配置した。また、下刃は、厚みが10mm、直径が80mmであるものとし、上刃の配置間隔に対応するように配置した。
実施例1〜2及び比較例1〜8で作製したスリッター装置を用いて、厚み200μmのアルミニウム箔を150m分、断続的に切断する切断試験を行った。切断試験後、上刃及び下刃の刃面から5mm以内の領域を任意に20点選択し、光学顕微鏡(倍率:50倍)により刃面を観察することで、刃面にアルミニウムの融着が生じているかどうかを確認した。アルミニウムの付着が認められたものを不良としたときの不良数を表2に示す。また、切断試験により切断されたアルミニウム箔を任意に20個選択し、光学顕微鏡(倍率:50倍)によりアルミニウム箔の切断面を観察することで、アルミニウム箔にバリが発生しているかどうかを確認した。切断面にバリが認められたものを不良としたときの不良数を表2に示す。
Claims (3)
- 1以上の円形の上刃が所定間隔で装着された回転軸と、1以上の円形の下刃が所定間隔で装着された回転軸とが、互いに平行に且つ前記上刃の周縁部側面と前記下刃の周縁部側面とが接触して所定の噛み合わせ深さが得られるような間隔で配設されており、
前記上刃の厚みが1mm以上であり、
前記上刃の刃先角度が75〜88°であり、
前記上刃及び前記下刃の硬度がHV704〜898であり、且つ、前記上刃の硬度と前記下刃の硬度とが等しく、
前記上刃及び前記下刃の表面粗さが4μm以下であり、且つ、前記上刃の表面粗さと前記下刃の表面粗さとが等しく、
アルミニウム箔を集電体とするシート状電極を切断するためのものであることを特徴とするスリッター装置。 - 1以上の円形の上刃が所定間隔で装着された回転軸と、1以上の直線状の下刃が所定間隔で平行に装着された、該下刃の刃面に対して垂直な軸とが、互いに平行に且つ前記上刃の周縁部側面と前記下刃の周縁部側面とが接触して所定の噛み合わせ深さが得られるような間隔で配設されており、
前記上刃の厚みが1mm以上であり、
前記上刃の刃先角度が75〜88°であり、
前記上刃及び前記下刃の硬度がHV704〜898であり、且つ、前記上刃の硬度と前記下刃の硬度とが等しく、
前記上刃及び前記下刃の表面粗さが4μm以下であり、且つ、前記上刃の表面粗さと前記下刃の表面粗さとが等しく、
アルミニウム箔を集電体とするシート状電極を切断するためのものであることを特徴とするスリッター装置。 - 電極活物質、該電極活物質を結着可能なバインダー、及び、該バインダーを溶解又は分散可能な液体を含む電極形成用塗布液をシート状の集電体上に塗布した後、前記液体を除去して前記集電体上に活物質含有層を形成し、シート状電極を得る活物質含有層形成工程と、
前記シート状電極を請求項1又は2記載のスリッター装置を用いて切断し、電極を得る電極形成工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする電極の製造方法。
