Description
The present invention relates to a murine repellent.
Rats have invaded or inhabited residences, stores, warehouses, etc., and have negative effects on human livestock. Thus, measures such as installing a mouse capturing machine or using a rodenticide have been conventionally used, but there is a problem of processing of captured or dead mice.
Further, invasion of a mouse is also prevented by using a mouse repellent. For example, a mouse repellent using monoterpenes (see Patent Document 1), a mouse using terpinene, terpineol, and P-cymene. A repellent (see Patent Document 2) and the like are known.
By the way, it is preferable that the active ingredient of the murine repellent spreads from the installation location because the repellent space becomes wide. However, in Patent Documents 1 and 2, the above-mentioned components are mixed in the food material, and the eating rate is only tested. The repellent effect in the space is not shown, and the effect is not clear. .
Then, an object of this invention is to provide the mouse repellent which is excellent in the repellent effect to the mouse | mouth in space.

Hereinafter, the best mode for carrying out the present invention will be described.
The murine repellent of the present invention uses rosemary oil as an active ingredient. Examples of the rosemary oil that can be used include rosemary cineole, rosemary berbenone, rosemary camphor and the like.
Further, rosemary oil is an essential component, and at least one of P-cymene, γ-terpinene, hexyl acetate, terpineol and orange oil can be blended. When these second components are used in combination, the rosemary oil may be 20% by mass or more of the total amount of the active ingredients, but is preferably 30% by mass or more.
Furthermore, other components can be blended as necessary, and for example, an appropriate amount of a colorant, an ultraviolet absorber, a preservative, an antioxidant and the like may be blended.
Examples of preparations for murine repellents include fumigants, gelling agents, propellants, powders, granules, granules, liquids, sheets, and the like. The amount of rosemary oil and the second component are selected so as to be an effective amount suitable for these preparations.
The repellents of the murine repellent of the present invention are mice in general, and examples thereof include mice, rats, rats, rats, mice and the like.
Hereinafter, although an example of an experiment is given and the present invention is further explained, the present invention is not limited to this.
(Experiment 1)
Sixteen mice (ddY 7-week-old male mice) were released into a rearing cage (width 16 cm, length 23 cm, height 20 cm). Then, filter paper (width 1 cm, length 10 cm) impregnated with 50 μl of the essential oil shown in Table 1 below is hung at the center of the ceiling of the breeding cage. The time until a state without a block (blocking circle) was formed was measured. The results are shown in Table 1.
From Table 1, it can be seen that by using rosemary oil, a blocking circle is formed in the shortest time, and is superior in repellent effect on mice compared to other essential oils.
(Experiment 2)
Experiments were conducted using the repelling test apparatus shown in FIG. As shown in the figure, a cage A installed in a dark room and a cage B installed in a bright room illuminated with 300 W illumination were connected by a passage. Further, a drug was prepared by filling 1 g of the essential oil composition shown in Table 2 below into a holding carrier 2 g composed of fluorite and AZ empty balls in a heating can. Then, after the drug was fumigated in the dark room (cage A side), 5 mice were released into cage A, and then the time during which the mouse that moved to cage B stayed in cage B for 30 minutes was measured. For comparison, the mice were observed without drug fumigation. The results are shown in Table 3 below. Since mice prefer dark rooms, it can be assumed that moving to cage B is the repellent effect of the essential oil composition. In addition, the mouse | mouth which returned to the cage A after moving to the cage B and moved to the cage B again was counted the residence time at that time.
Also from Table 3, the repellent effect of the murine repellent of the present invention was confirmed.
(Experiment 3)
The repellent effect on the rat was tested in the same manner as in Experiment 2 except that 3 mice were used instead of the mouse. The results are shown in Table 4 below.
Table 4 also confirmed the repellent effect of the murine repellent of the present invention.
(Experiment 4)
A gel containing rosemary oil was prepared according to the formulation shown in Table 5 below. Further, as performed in Experiment 2, the cage A installed in the dark room and the cage B installed in the light room were connected by a passage, and water and food were placed in the cage A to release five mice. Then, after putting the prepared gel in cage A, the number of mice moving to cage B over 20 minutes was counted. For comparison, mice were observed without installing a gel. The results are shown in Table 6 below.
Also from Table 6, the repellent effect of the murine repellent of the present invention was confirmed.
