Description
Claims (4)
- N(Nは1以上の整数)個の半導体光源と、該N個の半導体光源を冷却するM(Mは1以上の整数)個のファンと、それぞれ前記N個の半導体光源に第1の電流を供給するN個の電流供給手段と、電源から供給される電力を受け前記N個の電流供給手段への第2の電流の供給を制御する制御手段とを有する車両用灯具であって、
前記制御手段は、前記N個の半導体光源に対応したN個のスイッチ素子および前記ファンに対応したM個のスイッチ素子と、該各スイッチ素子を介して前記ファンに供給されるファン駆動電流および前記第2の電流を制御する制御回路とを含み、
前記ファンは前記制御手段に接続されている
ことを特徴とする車両用灯具。 - 前記制御手段は、前記ファン駆動電流および前記各第2の電流を検出し、前記各スイッチ素子にそれぞれ対応した(N+M)個の電流検出回路を有し、
前記電流検出回路によって検出されたファン駆動電流の値が予め決められた閾値以下であるか否かを判定し、該ファン駆動電流の値が前記閾値以下であると判定された場合に、前記第2の電流の供給量を低減するように制御し、ファン異常信号を送出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両用灯具。 - 前記制御手段は、前記第2の電流および前記ファン駆動電流を検出し、前記各スイッチ素子にそれぞれ対応した(N+M)個の電流検出回路を有し、
それぞれ前記各電流検出回路によって検出された前記各第2の電流の値を合計した前記各半導体光源全体の電流値が予め決められた閾値以下であるか否かを判定し、該半導体光源全体の電流値が前記閾値以下であると判定された場合に、前記ファン駆動電流の供給量を低減するように制御し、半導体光源異常信号を送出する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両用灯具。 - 前記制御手段は、前記光源駆動電流の供給時間に応じて前記ファン駆動電流の大きさを制御する
ことを特徴とする請求項3記載の車両用灯具。
