Description
The present invention relates to a heater energization control device that controls energization of a heater having a heating resistor that generates heat when energized.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in an automobile, for example, an energization control device in which a heater having a heating resistor that generates heat by energization performs energization control on the heater, for example, for engine start assistance and stable driving or for heating a vehicle interior. Used with. In addition, as the heating resistors, those having a positive correlation in which the resistance value increases as the temperature of the heating resistor increases are widely used. A constant power control method and a resistance value control method are known as control methods for energizing a heater having such a heating resistor.
In the constant power control method, the supplied electric power is obtained from the voltage applied to the heating resistor and the flowing current, and the heater is energized so that the integrated electric energy obtained by integrating the electric power becomes a predetermined electric energy. Control method. If constant power control is performed, the heating resistor generates heat according to the amount of power that is input. Therefore, if a predetermined amount of power is input, the temperature of the heating resistor can be set to a predetermined temperature. Easy to manage. This is because the heat generation amount (that is, temperature) of the heating resistor largely depends on the material of the material constituting the heating resistor, and it is industrially easy to make the material of the heating resistor uniform. The constant power control method is particularly suitable for preventing an excessive temperature rise in the initial stage of energization of the heating resistor, but the heating resistor has a temperature influence from the outside, for example, when the heating resistor is cooled by a disturbance. If received, it is difficult to maintain that temperature.
On the other hand, the resistance value control method utilizes the fact that the temperature of the heating resistor and the resistance value have a positive correlation as described above, and the target value corresponding to the temperature at which the resistance value of the heating resistor becomes the temperature increase target. The energization to the heating resistor is controlled so as to approach the resistance value. According to the resistance value control method, there is an advantage that the temperature of the heating resistor can be easily kept constant even if the heating resistor is affected by a temperature change due to disturbance. However, even if the resistance value of the heating resistor is the same as the material constituting the heating resistor, a characteristic difference may occur due to a slight change in the cross-sectional area or density of the heating resistor due to product tolerances. For this reason, even if the heating resistors have the same product number, differences (variations) due to differences in individual characteristics occur in the correlation between temperature and resistance value.
。 Therefore, for example, a glow plug energization control device used in a diesel engine performs constant power control on the glow plug at the time of engine start with little disturbance fluctuation, and targets the temperature of the heating resistor (resistance heating heater). The temperature is raised. And after temperature rising, it switches to resistance value control, the temperature of a heating resistor is maintained at target temperature by maintaining the resistance value of the heating resistor at that time (for example, refer to patent documents 1).
By the way, if the correlation between the temperature and the resistance value in the heating resistor is corrected (calibration) for each heating resistor, the correlation between the temperature and the resistance value, regardless of the individual characteristics. Can be made constant. That is, since the resistance value of the heating resistor corresponding to the target temperature is uniquely determined, resistance value control is facilitated. Since the resistance value of the heating resistor changes due to deterioration over time, such calibration is performed each time the engine is driven, for example, during preheating of the glow plug (during the temperature rise to bring the temperature of the heating resistor close to the target temperature). For example, the resistance value can be accurately controlled after the temperature rise.
However, when replacing the glow plug, for example, if the GCU fails to report the replacement of the glow plug, such as forgetting to operate the switch, the calibration result of the glow plug before replacement is used for the replaced glow plug. The energization control that was performed will be performed. Depending on the difference in individual characteristics of the heating resistor, for example, in the heating resistor after replacement, the resistance value when the temperature is raised to the target temperature is the temperature of the heating resistor before replacement becomes the target temperature. There may be cases where the resistance becomes smaller than the resistance value when the temperature is raised. In such a case, when power is applied to the heat generating resistor after replacement so as to have the same resistance value as when the temperature of the heat generating resistor before replacement is raised to the target temperature, The heat generating resistor after replacement may be overheated.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object thereof is to provide a heater energization control device capable of detecting that the heater has been replaced.
The heater energization control apparatus according to the first aspect of the present invention is a heater energization control apparatus that controls energization of a heater having a heating resistor that generates heat when energized. The drive of the internal combustion engine to which the heater is attached is stopped. A first resistance value acquiring means for energizing the heating resistor at a predetermined standby time and acquiring the current resistance value at that time as a first resistance value; and the first resistance value is predetermined. And determining means for determining that the heater has been replaced when it is greater than the first reference value.
According to the first aspect of the present invention, when the drive of the internal combustion engine is stopped, the first resistance value is obtained by energizing the heating resistor of the heater every standby time, and the first resistance value is If it is larger than the first reference value, it can be determined that the heater has been replaced. That is, since it is not necessary to continuously energize the heating resistor for detecting the replacement of the heater, it is possible to suppress the consumption of the energy accumulated when the internal combustion engine is driven.
By the way, since there are differences in the characteristics of the heating resistors, accurate temperature control can be performed by performing correction (calibration). It is desirable not to be affected by disturbance or the like, that is, it is desirable to perform calibration when the drive of the internal combustion engine is stopped. The calibration requires energization of the heating resistor. If energization is performed when the internal combustion engine is stopped, the energy stored during the operation of the internal combustion engine is consumed. By detecting the replacement of the heater as in the first aspect, an operation of performing calibration only when the heater is replaced is possible, and energy consumption can be suppressed. Further, when the heater energization control device cannot detect the replacement of the heater itself, it is necessary to notify the heater replacement from the outside, and there is a possibility that the notification may not be made due to various conditions. Since it is possible to detect heater replacement by itself, operation (calibration or the like) using heater replacement as a machine can be performed reliably.
In the first aspect of the present invention, the standby time may be shorter than a predetermined time required for replacing the heater attached to the internal combustion engine. Since there is no heating resistor on the energization path while the heater is being replaced, whether the energization resistance value when the heating resistor is energized when detecting the replacement of the heater is in an insulated state. If (whether it is larger than the first reference value) is used for the determination, the heater replacement detection can be easily and reliably performed. For this purpose, reliable energization should be performed while the heater is removed from the internal combustion engine by replacement, that is, the standby time should be shorter than the time required for replacement of the heater.
The heater energization control device according to the second aspect of the present invention is a heater energization control device that controls energization of a heater having a heating resistor that generates heat when energized, and stops driving the internal combustion engine to which the heater is attached. A first resistance value acquiring means for energizing the heat generating resistor when the current resistance is set, and acquiring the current resistance value at that time as a first resistance value; and when acquiring the first resistance value, the heater A first information acquisition unit configured to acquire environmental temperature information corresponding to an environment to be used; a correction unit configured to perform correction based on the environmental temperature information with respect to the first resistance value; and the correction unit. First calculation means for calculating a difference value between the current correction value obtained by the previous correction value and the previous correction value obtained by the correction means, and the difference value is greater than a predetermined second reference value. Place A, a determination unit and the heater has been replaced, the correction value of the obtained current the correction means, and a storage means for storing said as the past correction values.
According to the second aspect of the present invention, when the driving of the internal combustion engine is stopped, the first resistance value is obtained by energizing the heating resistor of the heater, and the first resistance value is corrected. If the difference value between the current correction value and the previously obtained past correction value is larger than the second reference value, it can be determined that the heater has been replaced. The heating resistor shows a change in resistance value with deterioration over time. If this change in resistance value is regarded as a change in the difference value, the deterioration over time of the heating resistor occurs when the difference value becomes larger than the second reference value. It can be seen that a change has occurred in the state. The change in the state of deterioration with time means that the resistance value change accompanying deterioration with time of the heating resistor has occurred by obtaining the first resistance value from the new heating resistor accompanying replacement of the heater. With this change, it is detected that the heater has been replaced. Therefore, if there is a past correction value obtained before and a current correction value, the replacement of the heater can be detected, so that the resistance value of the heating resistor is obtained while the heater is being replaced. Therefore, it is not necessary to adjust the timing of resistance value acquisition. Further, since it is not necessary to continuously energize the heating resistor for detecting the replacement of the heater, it is possible to suppress the consumption of the energy accumulated when the internal combustion engine is driven.
In the second aspect of the present invention, when the past correction value stored in the storage unit is an initial value or zero, the determination unit may determine that the heater has been replaced. In this way, the situation where the correction value becomes the initial value or zero, for example, at the time of battery replacement or initial shipment, is regarded as a situation equivalent to heater replacement, and the operation when the heater is replaced (for example, individual heating resistors) Correction of the difference in the characteristics).
Further, in the first aspect or the second aspect of the present invention, when the first resistance value acquisition unit acquires the first resistance value, an integrated amount of power input to the heating resistor is increased by energization thereof. The temperature of the heating resistor may be set to an amount of electric power within a range in which the temperature can be lowered to a temperature before energization by natural heat dissipation until the next acquisition of the first resistance value. Since the driving of the internal combustion engine is stopped when the first resistance value is acquired, the energization for acquiring the first resistance value is accompanied by the consumption of energy accumulated during the driving of the internal combustion engine. Therefore, it is preferable to provide a limit on the integrated amount of power input to the heating resistor. The accumulated amount of electric power supplied to the electric heating resistor can be lowered to the temperature before energization due to natural heat dissipation until the next time the first resistance value is acquired. If the amount of electric power is within the range, the consumption of energy accumulated when the internal combustion engine is driven can be sufficiently suppressed, which is preferable.
Further, the heater energization control device according to the first aspect or the second aspect of the present invention sets its operation clock to the first frequency when the driving of the internal combustion engine is stopped, and obtains the first resistance value. When the first resistance value is obtained by the means, a setting means for setting the operation clock of the first resistance value to a second frequency higher than the first frequency may be provided. It is preferable to set the operation clock of the heater energization control device when the drive of the internal combustion engine is stopped to the first frequency in order to suppress power consumption during standby. When the first resistance value is acquired, if the operation clock is set to the second frequency, the energization ON / OFF switching and the heater replacement detection at the time of acquiring the first resistance value can be quickly performed. It is possible to suppress power consumption until this process is completed, and to suppress power consumption when the internal combustion engine is stopped, including the above-described standby power consumption.
Further, in the first aspect or the second aspect, the heating resistor may have its own resistance value changed with a positive correlation in accordance with its own temperature change. May control the energization of the heating resistor by a resistance value control method for controlling energization so that the resistance value of the heating resistor matches the target resistance value. In this case, the energization control device for the heater is used when the internal combustion engine is driven for the first time after the determination means determines that the heater has been replaced, and then the drive of the internal combustion engine is stopped. The second resistance value acquiring means for energizing the heating resistor and acquiring the current resistance value at that time as the second resistance value, and the environment in which the heater is used when acquiring the second resistance value Second information acquisition means for acquiring environmental temperature information according to the above, second calculation means for calculating the target resistance value based on the second resistance value and the environmental temperature information, and driving of the internal combustion engine In some cases, it is preferable to include energization control means for controlling energization to the heating resistor so that an energization resistance value when the heating resistor is energized matches the target resistance value.
Since the second resistance value used for calculating the target resistance value is acquired when the driving of the internal combustion engine is stopped, the influence of the disturbance (for example, swirl or fuel injection) that can occur when the heating resistor drives the internal combustion engine. (Such as cooling of the heating resistor), the temperature of the heating resistor, and hence the resistance value thereof, does not temporarily change. Therefore, the accuracy of the acquired second resistance value is high, and heat is generated by energizing the heating resistor so as to coincide with the target resistance value calculated based on the second resistance value and the environmental temperature information. Control for maintaining the temperature of the resistor at the target temperature can be accurately performed. Since the heater energization control device according to the first aspect or the second aspect can determine whether or not the heater has been replaced by itself, the timing after the heater replacement is the most not affected by the disturbance as described above. The second resistance value can be obtained at an early time, that is, after the internal combustion engine is stopped for the first time after the heater replacement.
In the first aspect or the second aspect of the present invention, the heater may form a heat generating part of a glow plug used in the internal combustion engine.

In FIG. 1, only one
A
The
In the present embodiment, the
The
The
Next, the
One end of the
In the system configured to control the energization of the
When not affected by a disturbance or the like, when a constant voltage is applied to the heating resistor, a current flows through the heating resistor to generate heat. Since the resistance value increases as the temperature of the heating resistor rises, the current flowing through the heating resistor gradually decreases. Therefore, if the applied voltage is constant, the electric power supplied to the heating resistor gradually decreases as the temperature rises. In other words, a curve is obtained in which the power decreases with the passage of time after the start of power supply to the heating resistor.
Since the temperature of the heating resistor is low and the resistance value is small at the beginning of power supply, a relatively large current flows. As the temperature of the heating resistor increases, the resistance value increases and the flowing current is gradually suppressed. The temperature rise of the heating resistor often becomes non-uniform throughout the entire length, and the increase of the resistance value is not stable during the transition period of the temperature rise, but the resistance value becomes substantially constant when the temperature distribution approaches the equilibrium state. The temperature of the heating resistor is saturated.
By the way, the resistance value of each heating resistor varies depending on various factors, and the relationship between the temperature and the resistance value is affected by the variation even if they have the same product number. However, the relationship between the integrated amount of input power and the amount of generated heat depends on the material of the heating resistor, and the variation is relatively small. Therefore, the reference heating resistor is energized, the temperature rise is saturated at the control target temperature (target temperature), and the integrated amount (integrated power amount) of input power up to that point is obtained. If this integrated power amount is input to a heating resistor to be calibrated (separate body), the temperature of the heating resistor as a target can be set as the target temperature. Therefore, the resistance value of the heating resistor to be calibrated at this time is obtained as the pre-correction resistance value corresponding to the target resistance value. If the PI control is performed so that the resistance value of the heating resistor to be calibrated becomes the target resistance value, the temperature of the heating resistor can be maintained at the target temperature.
However, as described above, the resistance value of the heating resistor to be calibrated includes the wiring resistance inside the glow plug and on the energization path to the glow plug, and these resistance values also depend on the environment surrounding the glow plug. It changes according to the change of temperature. Here, according to the inventors, the relationship between the resistance value at the start of energization of the heating resistor and the resistance value at any timing during the temperature rise, and the resistance value when the temperature is saturated is It is known that there is a certain correlation (see Japanese Patent Application No. 2008-142459 for details). Therefore, in this embodiment, water temperature information is obtained as environmental temperature information, and when performing calibration, the pre-correction resistance value of the target heating resistor is acquired, and the water temperature information at that time is also acquired. ing. Then, when performing heat insulation energization (described later) by PI control using the target resistance value, water temperature information at that time is acquired, and a correction table or a correction arithmetic expression determined in advance based on the above correlation is applied. By doing so, the target resistance value is calculated by correcting the resistance value before correction to the water temperature, and energization control of the glow plug is performed. As described above, since the calibration is performed while the resistance value of the heating resistor includes the wiring resistance in the glow plug and on the energization path to the glow plug, the target resistance value with high accuracy can be calculated. Can do it.
In the
By the way, the replacement of the

First, before describing energization control, various variables and flags used in the energization control program will be described. The following flags and variables are stored in an area secured in the

[Operation during normal operation]
Next, details of energization control for the
As described above, the
As shown in FIG. 1, when the driver operates the
Next, the check flag is referred to. However, since the replacement check of the
(S45)。 When the first energization process is executed after returning to the normal mode, the initial flag is also set to 0 in the initial state (S43: NO). Since the initial flag is a flag for performing S45 to S55 only once after returning to the normal mode, 1 is stored in the initial flag in S45 so that the process can skip to S43 and proceed to S61. (S45).
In S47, the resistance value before correction is read (reference value) (S47). As described above, the resistance value before correction is acquired when calibration is performed, and is stored in the
In S61 to S75, energization processing for the
In this rapid temperature increase energization, the curve indicating the relationship between the electric power input to the
Thereafter, the process returns to S41, and the process of S63 is repeated until the rapid temperature increase energization is completed, and the rapid temperature increase energization to the
In this way, the electric power supplied to the
If it is determined that any of the above conditions is satisfied and the rapid temperature increase energization has been completed while S41 to S63 are repeated and the rapid temperature increase energization is continued (S61: YES), it is based on PWM control. The power supply to the
When it is determined that the predetermined time (180 seconds) has elapsed while the heat insulation energization is continued while S41 to S73 are repeated and the heat insulation energization is completed (S67: YES), the power to the
When the driver operates the
As shown in FIG. 2, when the energization process of S35 is completed, the interrupt is permitted (S37), and the interrupt signal input to the

When the
First, after resetting the check flag (S17), the
However, since the resistance value of the
Then, it is compared whether or not the resistance value Rg of the
[Operation during calibration]
Next, the operation at the time of performing calibration for the
Therefore, when the
As described above, the
As described above, in the calibration, the
When S41: NO, S83: YES, S85: NO, and S87 are repeated, if 60 seconds (time when the temperature rise of the
Returning to the main routine shown in FIG. 2, the interruption is permitted in the above-described processing of S37, and various settings are performed in S39, and then the shift to the power saving mode is performed. The operation of the energization control program is stopped. When the
Needless to say, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible. For example, the presence / absence of replacement of the
As described above, when the
Next, the previous (previous) correction value stored in the
In next S29, it is determined whether or not the
The second reference value may be set as appropriate depending on the degree of change in the correction value obtained based on the resistance value Rg corresponding to the deterioration of the
In the first modified example, the replacement determination is performed using the difference value between the correction values calculated at the time of confirming the replacement of the two consecutive glow plugs 20. However, the acquisition of the correction value is not necessarily continuous. It is not necessary to confirm the replacement of the
Moreover, although the correction value was calculated | required by S23 based on the water temperature information acquired by S21, the presence or absence of replacement | exchange is determined only from the water temperature information acquired by S21, when the water temperature of a cooling water exists in a predetermined water temperature or a water temperature range. If it is to be performed, it is only necessary to correct the acquired resistance value of the
Further, as in the second modified example shown in FIG. 6, an area for storing the current correction value (second area) and an area for storing past correction values (first area) are secured in the
By doing in this way, every time the replacement is confirmed between the time when the driving of the engine 1 is stopped and the time when the next driving of the engine 1 is started (for the sake of convenience, this time is referred to as “replacement confirmation time”). The acquired correction value is overwritten and saved in the second area, and is always updated to the latest one. On the other hand, the past correction values stored in the first region are the latest correction values obtained at the previous replacement confirmation time after the current driving and stopping of the engine 1 (that is, after the energization process is performed in S35). The correction value is not updated until the next time the engine 1 is driven and stopped. Therefore, the difference value obtained for determining whether or not the
In addition, in the first and second modifications described above, if a situation occurs in which the
