Claims (6)
- 複数の電荷転送用スイッチをクロック信号に応じて周期的にオン/オフさせ、電荷蓄積用キャパシタの充放電を行うことにより、入力電圧から所望の出力電圧を生成して負荷に供給するチャージポンプ回路を有する電源装置であって、
前記負荷に流れる電流に応じて前記クロック信号の周波数を可変制御し、
前記負荷に流れる電流は、前記負荷の駆動電流を可変制御する際に用いられる所定の制御信号を流用して判定し、かつ、
前記負荷の駆動電流を生成する駆動電流生成回路と、
前記負荷に供給すべき駆動電流の電流量を設定するためのディジタル制御信号から前記駆動電流生成回路の制御に適したアナログ制御信号を生成するディジタル/アナログ変換器と、をさらに有し、
前記負荷電流の判定に用いられる制御信号は、前記ディジタル制御信号である、
ことを特徴とする電源装置。 - 前記クロック信号の周波数は、前記制御信号に基づいて要求される駆動電流が所定の閾値よりも大きければ、第1周波数とされ、逆に、要求される駆動電流が所定の閾値よりも小さければ第1周波数よりも低い第2周波数とされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電源装置。
- 所定の周波数を有するクロック信号を生成する発振回路と、前記クロック信号の周波数変換を行う周波数変換回路と、をさらに有して成り、前記チャージポンプ回路のクロック信号の周波数は、前記周波数変換回路により変更することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の電源装置。
- 所定の周波数を有するクロック信号を生成する発振回路をさらに有し、前記チャージポンプ回路のクロック信号の周波数は、前記発振回路により変更することを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の電源装置。
- 負荷である光源への電力供給手段と、所定の制御信号に基づいて前記光源の駆動電流を可変制御する駆動電流制御手段と;を有して成る発光制御装置であって、前記電力供給手段として、請求項1〜請求項4のいずれかに記載の電源装置を備えたことを特徴とする発光制御装置。
- 表示パネルと、前記表示パネルを照射する光源と、前記光源の発光制御手段と、を有して成る表示装置であって、前記発光制御手段として、請求項5に記載の発光制御装置を備えたことを特徴とする表示装置。
