Description
本発明は、電気通信システムにおけるユーザー端末の動作を可能にする第1機能ユニットと、前記電気通信システムから独立した無線トランザクションの実行を可能にする無線トランシーバの機能を実行する第2機能ユニットとを備えるユーザー端末用の集積回路カードを提供する。第1機能ユニットと第2機能ユニットは独立ユニットとして構成されると共に、第3機能ユニット(これも独立ユニットとして構成される)により相互接続されて、前記第1機能ユニットと第2機能ユニットと前記端末との間で接続を確立する。
追加のチップを提供して、これを介してICカードチップとトランシーバが端末と通信するためのカード接点にアクセスすることにより、既存のチップをICカードチップ(例えばSIM)とトランシーバとの両方に使用できると共に、製造業者はこれが経済的に採算が合うようになるまでアドホックICカードチップ及びトランシーバチップの新しい設計及び新しいレイアウトを開発する必要がない。機能ユニットが同じチップ中に実装できる独立のライブラリブロックである場合にも同じ利点が得られる。また、提案した構造によると、端末に対するインターフェースは変えずに、ICカード上に与えられた機能の各々を独立にアップグレードできる。
本発明のその他の目的、特徴及び利点が、非限定的な例として与えられた添付図面に記載の好ましい実施態様についての以下の説明から明らかとなるであろう。
- SIMの標準的な電流消費ISIMは7〜8mAであり、スリープモードでは130μA未満である。
- 今日の技術による標準的なZigBee(商標)トランシーバは、送受信中における電流消費IZが20mA未満であり、スリープモードでは30μA未満である(これらの値は最適化されたものではなく、次世代のトランシーバではさらに小さくなり得ることに留意されたい)。

Claims (22)
- 電気通信システムにおけるユーザー端末(2)の動作を可能にする第1機能ユニット(4)と、前記電気通信システムから独立した無線機能を可能にする無線トランシーバの機能を実行する第2機能ユニット(5;50)とを備えた前記ユーザー端末(2)用の集積回路カード(3;30)であって、
前記第1機能ユニット及び第2機能ユニット(4、5;50)が前記第1機能ユニットと第2機能ユニット(4、5;50)との間の接続を確立する第3機能ユニット(6)により相互接続され、前記ユーザー端末(2)、前記第1機能ユニット、第2機能ユニット及び第3機能ユニット(4、5、6;4、50、6)が独立ユニットとして構成され、
前記第3機能ユニット(6)が前記第1機能ユニットと第2機能ユニット(4、5;50)との間又は前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)と前記端末(2)との間で直接的な通信を可能にするよう構成されたアービトレーティング・ユニットであり、
前記セキュリティキー交換プロセスが、前記第1機能ユニットと第2機能ユニット(4、5;50)との間で、第2機能ユニット(5;50)を伴う無線通信より前に実行されることを特徴とする集積回路カード(3;30)。 - 前記第3機能ユニット(6)が前記第1機能ユニット(4)と前記端末(2)との間、前記第1機能ユニット(4)と前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)との間、又は前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)と前記端末(2)との間の通信に異なる優先度を割り当てるように構成され、
最高の優先度が前記第1機能ユニット(4)と前記端末(2)との間の通信に割り当てられ、最低の優先度が前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)と前記端末(2)との間の通信に割り当てられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。 - 前記第3機能ユニット(6)が前記優先度に基づいて通信管理及び同時通信要求間のアービトレーションを実行するコア・ユニット(10)と、前記端末(2)、前記第1機能ユニット(4)及び前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)への接続のための夫々の第1、第2及び第3インターフェース(11、12、13)とを備え、前記コア・ユニット(10)が前記インターフェース(11、12、13)の受信バッファ(15)から読み出した命令の分析に基づいて前記端末(2)、前記第1機能ユニット(4)及び前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)のうちのいずれか1つへのアクセス要求を生成するよう構成された要求生成回路(14)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記要求生成回路(14)が前記命令の所定のフィールド(APDU−H)の内容から前記端末(2)と前記第1機能ユニット(4)との間の通信規格によって命令が定義されているか否かを認識するよう構成されることと、前記要求生成回路(14)が前記内容を命令宛先アドレスに関連付けるルックアップテーブル(16)を含み、前記ルックアップテーブル(16)は、前記命令が前記規格により定義されている場合には前記宛先アドレスをアクセス要求として前記端末(2)又は前記第1機能ユニット(4)に出力し、前記命令が前記規格により定義されていない場合には前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)に出力することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記要求生成回路(14)が、前記命令の所定のフィールドの内容から、命令が前記第1機能ユニット(4)のメモリ領域への書き込み命令/該メモリ領域からの読み出し命令であるか、又は前記第1機能ユニット(4)のアドレッシング領域に属さない命令であるかを認識すると共に、前者の場合にはアクセス要求を前記端末(2)又は前記第1機能ユニット(4)に対して生成し、後者の場合には前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)に対して生成するよう構成されることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記第3機能ユニット(6)が有限状態機械であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記第1、第2及び第3機能ユニット(6)がマルチチップモジュールとして構成され、前記第1及び第2機能ユニットの前記チップ(4、5;51、52)が前記第3機能ユニット(6)の前記チップを介して前記カード(3;30)の接点(31)にアクセスすることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記マルチチップモジュールが前記カード接点(31)の下に位置することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記第1、第2及び第3機能ユニット(6)がシングルチップ中に統合された別々のライブラリブロックから成ることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記ユーザー端末(2)に対する識別及びセキュリティ関連の機能を実行するカードであることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 移動端末(2)のSIM(加入者識別モジュール)又はUSIM(ユニバーサル加入者識別モジュール)カードであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)がパーソナル・エリア・ネットワークのアプリケーション用のトランシーバであることを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)がZigBee(商標)規格によるトランシーバであることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記第2機能ユニットが、前記トランシーバの無線周波数部分と、前記ZigBee(商標)規格による通信における物理層からネットワーキング及びアプリケーション機能へのプロトコルスタック全体とを含んだシングルチップ(5)から成ることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記第2機能ユニット(50)が通信プロトコルの実行のためのマイクロコントローラチップ(51)と、前記トランシーバ(5;50)の無線周波数部分を含んだ送受信チップ(52)とを備えることを特徴とする請求項7又は13に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)がプリント放射要素(7)に接続されることを特徴とする請求項12〜15のいずれか一項に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 前記プリント放射要素(7)が前記カード接点(31)を有する表面の反対側のカード表面(3R;30R)上に形成されることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の集積回路カード(3;30)。
- 電気通信システムにおけるユーザー端末(2)として及び前記電気通信システムから独立した無線機能を実行するための端末として動作する多機能通信端末(1)であって、前記多機能通信端末は、前記電気通信システムにおける機器の動作を可能にする第1機能ユニット(4)と、前記無線機能を可能にする無線トランシーバの機能を実行する第2機能ユニット(5;50)と、前記第1機能ユニット及び第2機能ユニット(4、5;50)を互いに接続させると共に前記端末(2)内の電子回路とも接続させる第3機能ユニット(6)とを有する集積回路カード(3;30)を備え、前記第1、第2、及び第3機能ユニット(4、5、6;4、50、6)が独立ユニットとして構成され、
前記第3機能ユニット(6)が前記第1機能ユニットと第2機能ユニット(4、5;50)との間又は前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)と前記端末(2)との間で直接的な通信を可能にするよう構成されたアービトレーティング・ユニットであり、
前記セキュリティキー交換プロセスが、前記第1機能ユニットと第2機能ユニット(4、5;50)との間で、第2機能ユニット(5;50)を伴う無線通信より前に実行されることを特徴とする多機能通信端末(1)。 - 前記集積回路カード(3;30)が前記ユーザー端末(2)に対する識別及びセキュリティ関連の機能を実行するカードであることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の多機能通信端末。
- 前記集積回路カード(3;30)が移動端末のSIM又はUSIMカードであることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の多機能通信端末。
- 前記第2機能ユニット(5;50)がパーソナル・エリア・ネットワークのアプリケーション用のトランシーバモジュールであることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の多機能通信端末(1)。
- 前記第2機能ユニット(5、50)がZigBee(商標)ノードのトランシーバであることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の多機能通信端末(1)。
