Claims (11)
- 先ず可燃性の非セラミック製の2枚の担持シート(1、2)をセラミック接着剤(5)で接合し、一端側が前記セラミック接着剤(5)で閉鎖された流路(3)を前記担持シート(1、2)間に形成した後、前記担持シート(1、2)にセラミックスラッジを浸透させ、ついで所要の形状において前記担持シート(1、2)が焼失するまで焼成して強固なフィルタ体を形成する内燃機関排気ガスフィルタ用のフィルタエレメント(6)の製造方法。
- 前記セラミックスラッジに触媒物質を混入することを特徴とする請求項1記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 前記担持シート(1、2)は有機材料、例えばセルロースからなることを特徴とする請求項1あるいは2記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 前記担持シート(1、2)は合成材料からなることを特徴とする請求項1あるいは2記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 前記担持シート(1、2)は、セラミックスラッジを浸透させる前に前記所要の形状に成形され、浸透の間および続く焼成の間、前記所要の形状が保持されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 前記支持シート(1、2)は支持体により支持されており、該支持体によって、セラミックスラッジを浸透させる際の前記担持シート(1、2)の変形を防止して、前記担持シート(1、2)を前記所要の形状に保持することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 前記支持体は、前記担持シート(1、2)に取り付けられたセラミック材料からなる支持格子であり、焼成の後も前記フィルタ体に残存して濾過に寄与することを特徴とする請求項6に記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 前記支持体を電導体の加熱部材として構成したことを特徴とする請求項6に記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 前記スラッジのセラミック材としては、酸化アルミニューム、コージライト、ムライト、あるいはシリコンカーバイドが用いられることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 硬化後の前記フィルタ体の多孔性細孔の大きさが皮膜形成により、例えばゾル−ゲル技法により変えられることを特徴とする請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
- 前記担持シート(1、2)は、セラミックスラッジを浸透させる前に、略円筒体に巻き上げられ巻きフィルタに成形され、前記流路(3)は前記巻きフィルタの軸方向に沿って配置されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のフィルタエレメント製造方法。
