Claims (2)
- 表示パネルと、該表示パネルの後方に配置され、かつ、該表示パネルの表示領域の後方に複数本の管状光源が並列配置されたバックライトユニットとを有する表示装置であって、
バックライトユニットは、前記管状光源と、
前記表示パネルからみて前記管状光源のさらに後方に配置され、かつ、前記表示パネルの表示面と概略平行な反射面を有する第1の反射部材と、
前記第1の反射部材の前記反射面の外周部に配置された額縁状の第2の反射部材と、
前記表示パネルからみて前記管状光源および前記第2の反射部材よりも手前に配置された光拡散板とを有し、
前記第2の反射部材は、内周側の端辺から外周側の端辺に向かうにつれて前記液晶表示パネルからの距離が近くなる傾斜した反射面を有し、かつ、内周側の端辺に切り欠き部を有し、
前記管状光源の端部は、前記第2の反射部材の前記切り欠き部を通って前記第2の反射部材の前記反射面の裏面側に位置しており、
前記管状光源は、前記表示パネルの表示面と平行な面でみたときに、該管状光源の端部から前記第2の反射部材の前記切り欠き部の終端位置と前記内周側の端辺との間まで延在する電極を有し、
前記第2の反射部材の前記切り欠き部には、前記表示パネルの表示面と平行な面でみたときに、前記管状光源の前記電極を覆う前記表示パネル側に突出したひさし形の部材を有し、
前記ひさし形の部材は、前記第2の反射部材と一体形成されていることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記管状光源は、冷陰極蛍光管であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
