BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a high frequency dielectric ceramic composition, and a dielectric resonator, a dielectric filter, a dielectric duplexer, and a communication device using the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, dielectric resonators, dielectric filters, and circuit board materials mounted on electronic devices used in high frequency areas such as microwaves and millimeter waves, such as mobile phones, personal radios, satellite broadcast receivers, etc. Dielectric porcelain is widely used.
[0003]
The dielectric properties required for such high-frequency dielectric ceramics are as follows: (1) Since the wavelength of the electromagnetic wave is shortened to 1 / (ε r ) 1/2 in the dielectric, The relative dielectric constant (ε r ) is large, (2) the dielectric loss is small, that is, the Q value is large, (3) the temperature stability of the resonance frequency is excellent, that is, the temperature coefficient (τf) of the resonance frequency is For example, it is around 0 (ppm / ° C.).
[0004]
Conventionally, as this kind of dielectric ceramic composition, for example, Ba (Zn, Ta) O 3 system (Japanese Patent Publication No. 58-25068), Ba (Sn, Mg, Ta) O 3 system (Japanese Patent Publication No. 3 ). No. 34164), (Zr, Sn) TiO 4 system (Japanese Patent Publication No. 4-59267), Ba 2 Ti 9 O 20 (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-10806) and the like are known. Yes.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, Ba (Zn, Ta) O 3 and Ba (Sn, Mg, Ta) O 3 materials have a very high Q value of 150,000 to 300,000 (at 1 GHz), but have a relative dielectric constant (ε r ). Is relatively small, 24-30.
[0006]
On the other hand, (Zr, Sn) TiO 4 and Ba 2 Ti 9 O 20 materials have a relatively large relative dielectric constant (ε r ) of 37 to 40 and a large Q value of 50,000 to 60000 (at 1 GHz). Although it shows a value, it is difficult to realize a larger relative dielectric constant (ε r ), for example, exceeding 40.
[0007]
In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for low loss and miniaturization of electronic devices. With this, dielectric materials also have superior dielectric properties, in particular, materials having both a large relative dielectric constant (ε r ) and a large Q value. Although there is a growing demand for development, the current situation is that it has not been able to sufficiently meet such demand.
[0008]
Accordingly, the object of the present invention is to have a relative dielectric constant (ε r ) as large as 40 to 60, a Q value as large as 30000 (at 1 GHz), and a resonance frequency temperature coefficient (τf) of 0 ± 30 (ppm). It is an object of the present invention to provide a dielectric ceramic composition for high frequency that can be controlled within a range of / ° C. Another object of the present invention is to provide a dielectric resonator, a dielectric filter, a dielectric duplexer, and a communication device using the same.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the high frequency dielectric ceramic composition of the present invention includes rare earth elements (Ln), Al, Ca, Mg, M (M: at least one of Nb and Ta) and Ti, composition formula: (1-y) xCaTi a O 1 + 2a - (1-y) (1-x) Ca (
[0010]
The α is more preferably in the range of α ≦ 0.600.
[0011]
The rare earth element (Ln) is preferably at least one of Nd, Y, La, Sm and Pr.
[0012]
The rare earth element (Ln) is more preferably at least one of Nd and La.
[0013]
The dielectric resonator according to the present invention operates when the dielectric ceramic is electromagnetically coupled to an input / output terminal. The dielectric ceramic is made of the above-described high frequency dielectric ceramic composition. It is characterized by that.
[0014]
The dielectric filter of the present invention is characterized in that the above-described dielectric resonator includes an external coupling means.
[0015]
The dielectric duplexer of the present invention includes at least two dielectric filters, input / output connection means connected to each of the dielectric filters, and antenna connection means commonly connected to the dielectric filters. The dielectric duplexer is characterized in that at least one of the dielectric filters is the above-described dielectric filter.
[0016]
Furthermore, the communication device of the present invention includes the above-described dielectric duplexer, a transmission circuit connected to at least one input / output connection means of the dielectric duplexer, and the input / output connection connected to the transmission circuit. And a reception circuit connected to at least one input / output connection means different from the means, and an antenna connected to the antenna connection means of the dielectric duplexer.

[0022]
First, x is in the range of 0.550 ≦ x ≦ 0.790 . This is because, when x <0.550, the Q value is smaller than 30000, and when x> 0.790 , the temperature coefficient (τf) of the resonance frequency is larger than +30 (ppm / ° C.). .
[0023]
About y, it exists in the range of 0.080 <= y <= 0.180. This is because the Q value is smaller than 30000 when y <0.080 or when y> 0.180.
[0024]
α = (1−y) x is in the range of α ≦ 0.650. This is because the temperature coefficient (τf) of the resonance frequency is larger than +30 (ppm / ° C.) when α> 0.650. Note that it is more preferable to satisfy α ≦ 0.600 because a temperature coefficient (τf) of the resonance frequency is +20 (ppm / ° C.) or less.
[0025]
About a, it exists in the range of 0.910 <= a <= 1.100. This is because the Q value is smaller than 30000 when a <0.910 and a> 1.100.

About c, it exists in the range of 0.900 <= c <= 1.100. This is because the Q value is smaller than 30000 when c <0.900 and c> 1.100.
[0028]
Further, in the high frequency dielectric ceramic composition according to the present invention, it is preferable to use Nd, Y, La, Sm or Pr as the rare earth element (Ln). Among these, Nd or La is used. Is more preferable.
[0029]
【Example】
Next, the present invention will be described based on more specific examples.
[0030]
Example 1
As starting materials, high-purity rare earth oxides (Nd 2 O 3 etc.), aluminum oxide (Al 2 O 3 ), calcium carbonate (CaCO 3 ), magnesium hydroxide (Mg (OH) 2 ), niobium oxide (Nb 2) O 5 ), tantalum oxide (Ta 2 O 5 ), and titanium oxide (TiO 2 ) were prepared.
[0031]
Next, the composition formula shown in Table 1: (1-y) xCaTi a
[0032]
[Table 1]
[0033]
[Table 2]
[0034]
Samples 37 to 52 shown in Table 2 are various rare earth elements shown in the column of “rare earth element” in Table 2 instead of Nd in the composition formula of Table 1. It has a composition corresponding to the sample 13.
[0035]
Next, these prepared raw material powders are wet-mixed for 16 hours using a ball mill, dehydrated and dried, and then calcined at 1100 to 1300 ° C. for 3 hours, and an appropriate amount of binder is added to the calcined powder. The powder was wet pulverized again using a ball mill for 16 hours to obtain a prepared powder.
[0036]
Next, this prepared powder was press-molded into a disc shape at a pressure of 1000 to 2000 kg / cm 2 , and then calcined in the atmosphere at a temperature of 1400 to 1600 ° C. for 4 to 24 hours to obtain a perovskite type having a diameter of 10 mm and a thickness of 5 mm. A porcelain having a crystal phase as a main crystal was obtained.
[0037]
For the obtained porcelain, the relative permittivity (ε r ) and Q value at a measurement frequency of 6 to 8 GHz are measured by the double-end short-circuited dielectric resonator method, and converted into a Q value of 1 GHz according to Q × f = constant rule. did. Further, the temperature coefficient (τf) between 25 ° C. and 55 ° C. of the resonance frequency was measured from the TE01δ mode resonator frequency. These results are shown in Tables 1 and 2. In Table 1, the sample numbers marked with * are outside the scope of the present invention.
[0038]
As is clear from Tables 1 and 2, according to the sample within the scope of the present invention, a large Q value can be obtained while keeping the relative dielectric constant (ε r ) at a large value in the microwave band.
[0039]
Here, referring mainly to Table 1, the composition formula of the present invention: (1-y) xCaTi a O 1 + 2a-(1-y) (1-x) Ca (Mg 1/3 M 2/3 ) b O 1 + 2b -yLnAl c O (3 + 3c) / 2 ( provided that, x, y molar ratio) explaining the reason for the limited range of compositions represented by the following.
[0040]
First, x is set to 0.550 ≦ x ≦ 0.790 because in the case of x <0.550, the Q value is smaller than 30000 as in sample numbers 11 and 15. Further, when x> 0.790 , the temperature coefficient (τf) of the resonance frequency is larger than +30 (ppm / ° C.) as in the sample number 7.
[0041]
The reason why y is set to 0.080 ≦ y ≦ 0.180 is that when y <0.080, as in
[0042]
For α = (1−y) x, α ≦ 0.650 is set when α> 0.650, as in
[0043]
The reason why a is set to 0.910 ≦ a ≦ 1.100 is that when a <0.910, the Q value is smaller than 30000 as in sample number 19. In addition, when a> 1.100, the Q value is similarly smaller than 30000 as in sample number 22.
[0044]
The reason why b is set to 0.900 ≦ b ≦ 1.100 is that when b <0.900, the Q value is smaller than 30000 as in sample number 23. Further, when b> 1.100, the Q value is similarly smaller than 30000 as in
[0045]
The reason why c is set to 0.900 ≦ c ≦ 1.100 is that when c <0.900, as in sample number 27, the Q value is smaller than 30000. Further, when c> 1.100, the Q value is similarly smaller than 30000 as in
[0046]
Further, as is clear from the comparison of Sample No. 13 in Table 1 and Sample Nos. 37 to 52 in Table 2, as the rare earth element (Ln), by using at least one of Nd and La, a larger ratio can be obtained. A dielectric constant (ε r ) and a Q value can be obtained.
[0047]
The high-frequency dielectric ceramic composition of the present invention can contain a trace amount of additives within a range that does not impair the object of the present invention. For example, SiO 2 , MnCO 3 , B 2 O 3 , NiO, CuO, Li 2 CO 3 , Pb 3 O 4 , Bi 2 O 3 , V 2 O 5 , WO 3 and the like are added in an amount of 0.01 to 1.0 wt%. By doing so, the firing temperature can be lowered by 20 to 30 ° C. while suppressing the deterioration of the characteristics. In addition, by adding 1 to 3 wt% of BaCO 3 , Sb 2 O 3, etc., it is possible to finely adjust the relative dielectric constant (ε r ) and temperature characteristics, and an excellent dielectric ceramic can be obtained.
[0048]
【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above description, according to the present invention, the relative dielectric constant (ε r ) is as large as 40 to 60, the Q value is as large as 30000 (at 1 GHz), and the temperature coefficient (τf) of the resonance frequency. ) Can be controlled within 0 ± 30 (ppm / ° C.), a high frequency dielectric ceramic composition can be obtained.
[0049]
Therefore, by using a dielectric ceramic having such a composition, a dielectric resonator, a dielectric filter, a dielectric duplexer, and a communication device can be produced, thereby obtaining good characteristics.
