BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for removing manganese ions in waste water, which is a problem in environmental conservation. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for removing manganese ions in waste water, which is suitable for treatment of waste water containing ammonium ions found in flue gas desulfurization waste water of oil-fired boiler combustion exhaust gas.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Examples of methods for removing manganese ions include hydroxide method, sulfide method, catalytic filtration method, ion exchange method, adsorption method and the like. Among them, the hydroxide method is a method in which an alkaline agent such as sodium hydroxide or slaked lime is added to waste water containing manganese ions, and manganese ions are removed in the form of hydroxides in the alkaline region. As a representative method, an example will be described with reference to FIG.
[0003]
First, manganese ion Mn2+The

And this reaction liquid is led to the precipitation tank 14, and is settled and separated. The supernatant water is discharged as treated water 11, and the precipitate is carried out of the system as slurry 18a. A part of the precipitate is returned to the pH adjusting tank 13 as a circulating slurry 18 b and added to the pH adjusting tank 13 together with the
[0006]
It also oxidizes manganese ions and produces manganese dioxide MnO2As a method of separating as, there are methods such as an oxidation method using chlorine and an oxidation method using permanganate. Among these, as a method of oxidizing with permanganate, a method has been proposed in which permanganate is added to wastewater containing manganese ions to adjust the pH to around neutral, and manganese is separated in the form of manganese dioxide. (JP-A-7-108281).
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the conventional method described above has the following problems. That is, in the method of precipitating manganese as a hydroxide, since the wastewater is adjusted to an alkaline region having a pH of 9 to 10, a large amount of alkaline agent is consumed when metal ions, particularly magnesium ions, are present in the wastewater. In addition, a large amount of magnesium hydroxide precipitate is generated, and the amount of sludge is greatly increased. Further, when the slurry is brought to a pH range near neutral,2+There was a problem of re-dissolution.
[0008]
In addition, in the method of oxidizing with chlorine, when high concentration ammonium ions are contained like desulfurization effluent of oil fired boiler combustion exhaust gas, the chlorine added to the effluent first reacts with ammonia, so it oxidizes manganese ions. There was a problem that the amount of added chlorine had to be remarkably increased compared to the required amount of chlorine.
[0009]
Furthermore, in the method of oxidizing using permanganate, Mn2+Permanganate in an equivalent amount or more is required. That is, theoretically, 1 mg of Mn from equation (2)2+In contrast, KMnO as permanganateFourIs used, an equivalent value of 1.92 mg or more of KMnOFourIs required. In this case, excess permanganate is present and heavy metal chelating agents must be added to remove it. Since permanganate and heavy metal chelating agents are quite expensive, there is a problem that they are very uneconomical.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and is configured as follows. That is, the present invention provides an oxidation step in which permanganate is added to treated wastewater containing manganese ions to produce hydrated manganese dioxide, and the produced wastewater containing hydrated manganese dioxide is treated with treated water by a precipitation action. Separating into a slurry with increased hydrated manganese dioxide concentration;Adding a permanganate to a part of the slurry in advance and adding to the treated waste water;A method for removing manganese ions in waste water is provided. In addition, a step of adding and mixing a permanganate in advance to the slurry obtained by the precipitating action and adding it to the wastewater to be treated is included.Provide a way. In addition, the method includes a step of solid-liquid separation of the slurry obtained by the precipitation action, premixing the obtained granular manganese dioxide and permanganate, and adding to the wastewater to be treated.Provide a way. In addition, the present invention includes a step of adding a permanganate, a flocculant, and a polymer flocculant to a wastewater to be treated containing manganese ions, stirring, and granulating the produced hydrated manganese dioxide. A method for removing manganese ions in wastewater is provided. In the method of the present invention, manganese ions Mn contained in the wastewater to be treated2+WhereasAdded by slurry with increased hydrated manganese dioxide concentration or granular manganese dioxide prepared from said slurryManganese dioxide MnO2The amount is 20 or more by weight, and the permanganate (MnO) added to the wastewater to be treated containing manganese ions.Four -) Amount of manganese ion Mn in the waste water2+It is preferable to add so that it may become below a theoretical equivalent value. Furthermore, it is preferable that manganese sand is added to the wastewater to be treated in advance, and the particle size of the manganese sand is 200 μm or less. In addition, the configuration of the present invention can be effectively treated even if the wastewater to be treated containing manganese ions is also wastewater containing ammonia ions, and is suitable for the treatment of desulfurization wastewater of a large amount of oil-fired boiler combustion exhaust gas. is there.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In addition, these embodiment shows an example and does not limit this invention.
[0012]
The type of drainage is manganese, manganese ion Mn2+The method of the present invention can be applied without particular limitation as long as it is dissolved wastewater. When the content of manganese ions is extremely high, it is economical and preferable to perform treatment in advance by another method.
[0013]
In FIG. 1,
[0014]
Examples of the pH adjuster include alkali agents such as sodium hydroxide and slaked lime, or acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. When the waste water is flue gas desulfurization waste water, it is preferable to use sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid or the like in order to prevent gypsum from forming and increasing the amount of sludge.
[0015]
As the chelating agent, a commercially available heavy metal chelating agent can be used. The amount of the chelating agent added depends on the amount of heavy metal ions in the waste water, but usually about several mg / L to several tens mg / L is appropriate.

[0018]
From the formula (2), 1.92 mg of potassium permanganate is theoretically equivalent to 1 mg of manganese ions, but the method of the present invention is less than the theoretical equivalent, for example, potassium permanganate is 0 for 1 mg of manganese ions. It is only necessary to add about 0.7 to 0.8 mg. This is because the hydrated manganese dioxide contained in the slurry adsorbs unreacted manganese ions in the liquid and, when the manganese ions are oxidized to produce manganese dioxide as shown in the above formula (2), the reaction takes place. It is because it is thought that there exists an effect | action as a catalyst to promote. Although its behavior is not yet clear, the action of hydrated manganese dioxide enables efficient removal of manganese ions without adding permanganate to an equivalent amount, contributing to improving the quality of treated water. it can.

[0030]
The flocculant 15 is preferably an aluminum salt or a ferric salt. Polyaluminum chloride and aluminum sulfate can be used as the aluminum salt, and ferric chloride can be used as the ferric salt, but not limited thereto. The injection rate of the flocculant 15 is preferably 50 to 500 mg / L as a solution, and if it is 50 mg / L or less, granulation of hydrated manganese dioxide in the oxidation granulation tank 16 described later becomes insufficient, and 500 mg / L or more. If so, the cost of chemicals will be excessive.
[0031]
Moreover, the polymer flocculent 5 can use a commercially available anionic flocculant similarly to the process shown in FIG. 1, and an injection rate is 0.5-10 mg / L. If the injection rate is 0.5 mg / L or less, the formation of granular materials in the granulation tank 16 will be insufficient, and if it is 10 mg / L or more, the chemical cost will be excessive.
[0032]
The addition of the polymer flocculant 5 is preferably within 30 seconds to 90 seconds after the flocculant 15 is injected in order to form granular materials in the oxidation granulation tank 16 described later.
[0033]
The waste water to which the flocculant 15 and the polymer flocculant 5 are added flows into the lower part of the oxidation granulation tank 16. The oxidation granulation tank 16 is equipped with a stirrer 17 that rotates so that the tip peripheral speed of the impeller is 0.1 to 0.5 m / s, and agglomeration in the oxidation granulation tank 16 caused by the impeller. The rolling motion of the object forms a zone of particulate hydrated manganese dioxide. The concentration is 5 to 10% by weight, and the particle size of the hydrated manganese dioxide granules is 2 to 2.5 mm. The manganese dioxide concentration in the granular material is 5000 to 20000 mg / L, which is 20 times or more by weight with respect to the manganese ion concentration in the waste water. Excessive particulate matter is discharged as a particulate matter-containing slurry 12 a from the oxidation granulation tank 16 on the stirrer 17. Since the granular material has a high sedimentation speed, the upward flow rate of the waste water in the oxidation granulation tank 16 can be increased to 0.2 to 2 m / s. According to this method, there is an effect that the hydrated manganese dioxide particulate matter can be easily separated and the apparatus can be reduced in scale.
[0034]
The supernatant water separated from the granular material zone is discharged from the oxidation granulation tank 16 as treated water 11. The granular material-containing slurry 12a is discharged out of the system as it is or after being dehydrated.
[0035]
The processing steps shown in FIG. 6 are the same as the processing steps shown in FIG. 5 except for the addition of permanganate 4. The action is the same as in the treatment step shown in FIG. 2, and the inert MnO produced by contact between the waste water and hydrated manganese dioxide particles.2・ MnO ・ H2O-active hydrated manganese dioxide MnO2・ NH2Has the effect of converting to O. This has the effect of significantly improving the processing capacity.
[0036]
The particulate matter in the oxidation granulation tank 16 and the concentration of manganese dioxide contained therein are the same as those in the treatment step shown in FIG. 5, and the weight ratio is 20 times or more of the manganese ion concentration in the waste water.
[0037]
The processing step shown in FIG. 7 is a method in which manganese sand is previously added into the oxidation granulation tank 16 as in the processing step shown in FIG. The particle size of manganese sand is 50 to 200 μm. Similar to the treatment step of FIG. 3, by adding permanganate 4 to the waste water flowing out from the
[0038]
The granular material containing slurry 12a discharged from the oxidation granulation tank 16 is manganese sand and a reaction product, as in the processing step of FIG. The concentration is 10,000 to 100,000 mg / L, the particle size is 50 to 200 μm, the manganese dioxide concentration in the granular material is 5,000 to 20000 mg / L, and is 20 times or more by weight with respect to the manganese ion concentration in the waste water. It becomes.
The granular material-containing slurry 12a in the oxidation granulation tank 16 is introduced into the cyclone 9a and classified in the same manner as the processing step shown in FIG. The operation and effect are the same as in FIG.
[0039]
The processing step shown in FIG. 8 is the same as the processing step shown in FIG. 7 except that the portion into which the permanganate 4 is injected is a particulate circulation line.

[0065]
In addition, in the oxidation treatment, it is only necessary to add an amount of permanganate much less than the equivalent to manganese ions. In particular, even in wastewater containing high-concentration ammonia such as desulfurization wastewater from oil fired boilers, the above reaction proceeds without being inhibited by ammonia, so that expensive chemical costs can be greatly reduced.
[0066]
In addition, since the permanganate does not flow out into the treatment liquid, it is not necessary to post-treat the excess permanganate by adding a heavy metal chelating agent or the like.
[0067]
Furthermore, by using the method of bringing the granulated product of hydrated manganese dioxide of the present invention into contact with drainage together with permanganate, the separation of the particulate matter is facilitated, and the apparatus can be miniaturized.
