本発明が図1Aおよび図1Bに図示されている。図1Aは、本発明の好ましい実施形態の前面図であり、カテーテル、誘導線に正確な切れ目を形成するシステムを示す。本発明において、カテーテルに言及することにより、大部分の医療用途で正確さが主要事項である場合、非常に正確な切削装置を有するという目的を留意させることになる。さらに、カテーテルは医療用途の一つの実施形態にすぎないが、正確さの必要性を容易に表すことができる。

回転刃が、使用できる唯一の機械的刃のタイプではないことも理解される。従来通りの「鋸引き」刃を設けることもできる。
Claims (12)
- カテーテルまたは誘導線に切れ目を形成するシステムであって、
ベース部材と、
摺動可能な状態でベース部材に結合された垂直可動部材と、
スピンドル端部を有し、摺動可能な状態で垂直可動部材に結合された水平可動部材と、
スピンドル端部を通して配置された少なくとも1つの回転可能なスピンドルと、
スピンドルと同軸で配置された少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃と、
少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃を回転させるために、少なくとも1つのスピンドルに結合された駆動手段と、
べース部材に結合されて、これに配置され、少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃が切開部を作成する間に、クランプ手段をカテーテルまたは誘導線と嵌合させることができるクランプ部材と、
カテーテルまたは誘導線をクランプ手段へと送る手段と、
前記垂直可動部材と水平可動部材とを、カテーテルまたは誘導線に切開部を作成するために正しく配置できるよう、少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃に対してカテーテルまたは誘導線の位置を決定する位置決定手段とを備え、
前記少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃は複数の円形鋸刃からなり、鋸刃が少なくとも1つのスピンドル上に平行かつ同軸で装着され、複数の円形鋸刃がそれぞれ同じ直径を有し、
前記クランプ手段がクランプ部材を備え、そのクランプ部材が、
カテーテルまたは誘導線を部分的に受けてまっすぐに保持するため、窪みが横断しているクランプ表面と、
そのクランプ表面から反対の裏側へと延び、複数のクランプフィンガを区画形成するとともに、対応する鋸刃の通過を可能にするための複数のスロットと、
カテーテルまたは誘導線を窪みに押し込み、クランプ表面へ押しつけるため、前記クランプフィンガに対応する複数のフィンガを備えるとともにクランプ表面に結合された板ばねと、
複数のスロット間にあって、裏側からクランプ表面へと延びる複数のアクセス用穴と、
複数の押し棒と、1本の押し棒が複数のアクセス用穴のそれぞれに配置され、それによってカテーテルまたは誘導線を操作すべき時に板ばねをカテーテルまたは誘導線から持ち上げるため、各押し棒を押すための作動手段とを備えるシステム。 - 垂直可動部材が、第1垂直結合面と第1水平結合面とを有し、第1垂直面でベース部材と摺動可能な状態で結合される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 水平可動部材が第2水平結合面を有し、水平可動部材が、第2水平結合面で垂直可動部材の第1水平結合面に摺動可能な状態で結合される、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- カテーテルまたは誘導線をクランプ手段に送る手段が、クランプ部材に隣接して配置されたピンチ・ローラ・アセンブリを備え、これによってカテーテルまたは誘導線をクランプ手段へと送る、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- ピンチ・ローラ・アセンブリが、
カテーテルまたは誘導線を支持し、クランプ手段が外れると、カテーテルまたは誘導線をクランプ手段へと強制的に移動させる第1ローラと、
カテーテルまたは誘導線に力を加え、これを第1ローラに押しつけ、それによって円筒形物体をクランプ手段へと押す摩擦を提供する第2ローラと、
旋回端部でベースに結合され、可動端部で第2ローラに結合されるレバー・アームとを備え、レバー・アームとベース部材との間に結合されたばね手段が第2ローラに力を与える、請求項4に記載のシステム。 - システムが、さらに、少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃の摩耗程度を判断するセンサ手段を備える、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- センサ手段が、少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃およびカテーテルまたは誘導線に結合された導電感知回路を備え、カテーテルまたは誘導線が導電性で、少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃が導電性のカテーテルまたは誘導線と接触すると、電気回路が完成したのを前記回路が位置制御手段に通知する、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- センサ手段が、駆動手段またはスピンドルによって少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃に結合された機械的抵抗検出手段を備える、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 機械的抵抗検出手段が、少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃の回転を監視する回転検出器手段を備え、これにより、スピンドルをカテーテルまたは誘導線に向かって前進させながら、上下に動かすことによって、いつ接触したか判断する、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- 機械的抵抗検出手段が、少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃を回転させるのに必要なトルク量の変化を監視するトルク検出器手段を備える、請求項8に記載のシステム。
- センサ手段が、少なくとも1枚の円形鋸刃とカテーテルまたは誘導線との間のギャップを検出する光学検出器手段を備える、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記位置決定手段は鋸刃およびクランプ部材に対するカテーテルまたは誘導線の位置を検出し、その情報を、システムの全構成要素の動作を調整するための制御装置に提供する請求項1に記載のシステム。
