を含み、200〜700nmにおける最高透過率を示す波長が350〜380nmの範囲にあり、厚さ2.5mmに換算した前記最高透過率の値が50%以上であり、かつ前記厚みに換算した405〜700nmにおける最高透過率の値が1%未満である透過率特性を有すること特徴とする紫外線透過フィルター用ガラスである。

を含み、かつTiO 2 を含有しないこと特徴とする紫外線透過フィルター用ガラスである。
Sb2O3 0〜2%
を含有することができる。
以下、ガラス1および2における各成分の働きと組成範囲限定の理由について述べる。なお、以下の説明における各成分の導入量、合計量は重量%にて表わしたものである。
(好ましい組成範囲1)
SiO2 60〜70%
Al2O3 0〜3%
B2O3 0〜3%
SiO2+Al2O3+B2O3 60〜70%
Na2O 10〜20%
CaO 7〜20%
NiO 2〜5%
Co2O3 0.1〜2%
TiO2 0〜1%
Sb2O3 0〜2%(0.01〜2%)
好ましい組成範囲1において、
CaO 10〜20%
好ましい組成範囲1または2において、
Sb2O3 0.01〜2%
好ましい組成範囲1〜3のいずれかの範囲において、SiO2、Al2O3、B2O3、Na2O、CaO、ZnO、NiO、Co2O3、Sb2O3の合計量が95%以上である組成範囲。好ましくは上記合計量が98%超である範囲。より好ましくは99%超である範囲。さらに好ましくは100%である範囲。
次にガラス1の透過率特性について説明する。ガラス2もガラス1と同様の透過率特性を備えることが望ましい。
本発明のガラスの作製方法としては特に制限はなく、従来慣用されている方法を用いることができる。例えば、ガラス原料として酸化物、水酸化物、炭酸塩、硝酸塩、塩化物、硫化物などを適宜用い、所望の組成になるように秤量し、混合して調合原料とする。これを耐熱坩堝に入れ1300〜1400℃程度の温度で溶融し、撹拌、清澄して均質な溶融ガラスとする。ついでガラスを成形枠に鋳込み、ガラスブロックを形成した後、ガラスの徐冷点近くに加熱した炉に移し、室温まで冷却する。
本発明の紫外線吸収フィルターは、ガラス1またはガラス2からなることを特徴とするものである。このようなフィルターとしては両面が光学研磨された板状ガラスなどを例示することができる。フィルターの紫外線透過面(例えば、上記光学研磨された両面)には、反射防止膜あるいはその他の光学多層膜をコートしてもよい。
(実施例2、3、参考例1〜3、比較例1、2)
酸化物、水酸化物、炭酸塩、硝酸塩、塩化物、硫酸塩などの原料を表1の組成になるように秤量して混合した調合原料を、白金坩堝などの耐熱容器に入れ、大気中で1300〜1400℃に加熱、溶融、撹拌し、均質化、清澄を行った後、鋳型に流し込んだ。ガラスが固化した後、次いでガラスの徐冷点近くに加熱しておいた電気炉に移し、室温まで徐冷した。
透過率は厚さ2.5mmに両面研磨した上記ガラスを分光光度計を使用して測定した結果において、200〜700nmにおける最高透過率およびその波長を示す。
次に実施例2、3、参考例1〜3のガラスを所望の平板形状に加工し、互いに平行な両面に光学研磨を施して厚さ2.5mmの紫外線吸収フィルターを作製した。各フィルターとも良好な耐候性を有するとともに、所望のフィルター特性を得ることができた。

を含み、かつTiO2を含有しないこと特徴とする紫外線透過フィルター用ガラス。 - 請求項1に記載のガラスからなる紫外線透過フィルター。
