Description

【0001】

[0001]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention provides a common rail system having a feed pump (Vorfoerderpumpe), the feed pump, the fuel flow is supplied to the high-pressure pump from a fuel tank, fuel flow, to a lubrication flow and a high pressure feed stream by means of a valve device It is of the type that is divided and is fed to the accumulator (Hochdruckspeicher) with the high-pressure feed stream loaded at high pressure.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A common rail system of this type is described in published German Patent Application No. 197396553. In this known common rail system, a flow regulating valve is used to divert the lubricating flow. However, it has been found that this known common rail system cannot completely avoid certain leaks. Therefore, in a common rail system provided with a flow regulating valve for diverting the lubricating flow, a separate leakage return guide device must be provided. This leakage return guide device includes a diaphragm, for example. The additional leak back guide device is expensive and makes the manufacture of the common rail system expensive.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to improve a common rail system of the type described at the beginning so that an expensive return guide device can be omitted.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention that solves this problem, an inlet valve is provided at the inflow portion of the high-pressure feed flow to the high-pressure pump, and a pressure adjustment valve is provided at the inflow portion of the lubrication flow to the high-pressure pump. The fuel branched from the fuel flow by the pressure regulating valve forms the lubricating flow, and the opening pressure of the inlet valve is such that the lubricating flow is branched from the fuel flow by the pressure regulating valve. It is used to lubricate the drive part of the high-pressure pump and then set back into the fuel tank .
[0005]
【The invention's effect】
The pressure regulating valve ensures a sufficient lubricating flow over the entire operating range of the high-pressure pump. If a leak occurs in the low pressure supply circuit, the pressure in the system will drop until the inlet valve is closed and thereby the high pressure pump is throttled. This stops the engine. There is no need for an additional overflow valve to guide the leak back.
[0006]
Other advantages, features and details of the invention are described in the dependent claims and in the following description. Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. In this case, the features described in the claims and in the detailed description of the invention are important to the present invention either individually or in any combination.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the drawing, a hydraulic circuit diagram of a common rail system according to the present invention is shown. Fuel is contained in the tank 1. Fuel is drawn from the tank 1 through the filter 2. The fuel is sucked by the feed pump 3.
[0008]
The fuel stream 4 supplied by the feed pump 3 is used to supply the high pressure pump 6. A lubricating flow 9 is branched from the fuel flow 4 via a valve device (pressure regulating valve) 8. The lubricating flow 9 is used to lubricate the drive of the high-pressure pump 6 and then guided back into the tank 1.
[0009]
From the pressure difference between the fuel stream 4 and the lubricating stream 9, a high pressure feed stream 10 is obtained. The high pressure feed stream 10 reaches the high pressure region of the high pressure pump 6 via the inlet valve 11 as an overflow valve. Here, the high pressure feed stream 10 is loaded by high pressure and then reaches a pressure accumulator (rail), not shown, as indicated by arrow 12.
[0010]
The pressure regulating valve 8 is a magnet-controlled proportional valve. The lubricating stream 9 is likewise used to cool the high-pressure pump 6. The control of the pressure regulating valve 8 is performed via a characteristic map including a supply characteristic curve of the feed pump 3. Instead of such control of the pressure regulating valve 8, the metering of the lubricant flow 9 may be performed through the pressure adjustment in the inlet of the high-pressure pump 6. In this case , the pressure regulating valve 8 must regulate a predetermined pressure at the inflow portion of the high-pressure pump 6 using the characteristic map . This reduces control.
