Description
静電容量の変化に基づいて物体の近接を検知する静電容量検出装置において、
静電容量の変化量を検出する検出電極と、
前記検出電極に流れる電流をスイッチ操作によって制御するスイッチ制御手段と、
前記スイッチ制御手段のスイッチ操作の繰り返し回数をカウントするカウンターと、
前記カウンターでカウントされたカウント値が、前記静電容量検出装置が起動してから所定時間経過した後にカウントされた通常カウント値であるか、前記静電容量検出装置が起動してから所定時間経過する前にカウントされた初期カウント値であるかを判断する判断回路と、
該判断回路で初期カウント値であると判断されたカウント値に対する初期参照値を決定する初期参照値決定回路と、
該判断回路で通常カウント値と判断されたカウント値と該カウント値がカウントされるよりも前記所定時間以上前にカウントされたカウント値との差分量を演算し、又は、前記判断回路で初期カウント値と判断されたカウント値と前記初期参照値との差分量を演算する差分量演算回路と、
前記差分量演算回路で演算された差分量とその差分量に対応する閾値との大きさを比較し、比較の結果から物体の近接を判定する判定回路と
を具備することを特徴とする、静電容量検出装置とすることである。
一方、判断回路14で初期カウント値に振り分けられたカウント値Cは、そのカウント値Cがカウントされるよりも250ミリ秒以上前にカウントされたカウント値が存在しないため、上記とは別の手法により参照値を決定する必要がある。この場合において、本例では、初期参照値決定回路16で決定された初期参照値C0を、初期カウント値に振り分けられたカウント値に対する参照値Crefとする。そして、カウント値Cと参照値Crefとの差分ΔCを求める。
図4は、本発明の静電容量検出装置を適用した車両の開錠システムのブロック図である。このシステムによれば、電波によるワイヤレス通信によりキーを照合してユーザの認識を行い、照合後、ユーザが車両のドアハンドルに触れたことを検出した後、ドアロックが解除されるものである。このシステムにおいて本発明を適用すれば、車両を開錠する際の応答性が極めて良好になる。
Claims (1)
- 静電容量の変化に基づいて物体の近接を検知する静電容量検出装置において、
静電容量の変化量を検出する検出電極と、
前記検出電極に流れる電流をスイッチ操作によって制御するスイッチ制御手段と、
前記スイッチ制御手段のスイッチ操作の繰り返し回数をカウントするカウンターと、
前記カウンターでカウントされたカウント値が、前記静電容量検出装置が起動してから所定時間経過した後にカウントされた通常カウント値であるか、前記静電容量検出装置が起動してから所定時間経過する前にカウントされた初期カウント値であるかを判断する判断回路と、
該判断回路で初期カウント値であると判断されたカウント値に対する初期参照値を決定する初期参照値決定回路と、
該判断回路で通常カウント値と判断されたカウント値と該カウント値がカウントされるよりも前記所定時間以上前にカウントされたカウント値との差分量を演算し、又は、前記判断回路で初期カウント値と判断されたカウント値と前記初期参照値との差分量を演算する差分量演算回路と、
前記差分量演算回路で演算された差分量とその差分量に対応する閾値との大きさを比較し、比較の結果から物体の近接を判定する判定回路と
を具備することを特徴とする、静電容量検出装置。
