Description
The present invention relates to a non-contact type position detection device. More specifically, the present invention relates to an apparatus that performs position detection by detecting a magnetic field generated from a magnet with an electromagnetic conversion element.
Conventionally, position detecting devices are used in many electronic devices or apparatuses. For example, the position detection device is incorporated as a part of an input device of a computer, and is used as a device for determining a pointing position when an operator moves an operation element. The position detection device is mounted on a moving body such as an automobile and used for monitoring the posture of the moving body.
The position detection device generally includes a fixed portion and a moving portion that moves relative to the fixed portion, and detects a change in the position of the moving portion by using a change in light or a magnetic field (magnetic flux density). For example,
However, to form a space diamond shape and the position detecting device disclosed in

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a position detection device that can perform accurate position detection with a simple structure.
A plurality of embodiments of the position detection device according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is an enlarged view of a configuration of a sensor unit that is a main part of the position detection device. The sensor unit includes at least the
In FIG. 1, a quadrangular prism-
As a preferred structure, a quadrangular prism-
When the
In the state shown in FIG. 2A, the magnetic field received by the
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating a mechanical overall configuration of the position detection device. The position detection device shown in FIG. 4 includes two sensor parts shown in FIG. In order to omit redundant description, the same parts as those shown in FIG. Further, since two sensor parts are included, branch numbers (-1, -2) are attached for distinction. In FIG. 4, two orthogonal axes X and Y are virtually used for the description.
In the position detection device, a mechanical structure is assembled on the printed
The
The
The moving
FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing an electrical configuration of the position detection apparatus shown in FIG. The electrical configuration shown in FIG. 5 can be disposed on the
The
In the position detection apparatus according to the first embodiment described above, the

However, in the embodiment shown below, the mechanical configuration of FIG. 4 and the electrical configuration of FIG. 5 shown for the position detection device of the first embodiment are the same, and the sensor unit including the

The structural example shown in FIG. 9A corresponds to the structure of the first embodiment. The
FIG. 10 is a diagram showing a position detection apparatus according to a sixth embodiment having an improved mechanical configuration. FIG. 11 is a block diagram showing an electrical configuration of the position detection apparatus shown in FIG. In FIG. 4 described above, a position detection device having one sensor portion on each of the X and Y axes is shown. The position detection device shown in FIG. 11 is provided with two sensor units on each of the X and Y axes. As described above, when two sensor units are provided on each axis, two position detection data can be acquired in one axial direction. By taking the difference between the output signals of the electromagnetic transducers detected with respect to the same axis, the output range can be approximately doubled, and the sensor output dynamic range can be set large. Furthermore, noise can be canceled by taking the signal difference. Therefore, a position detection device having such a structure can perform position detection with higher accuracy.
With reference to FIG. 10, the structure of the improved part is demonstrated easily. FIG. 10A is a perspective view showing the overall configuration of the position detection device in a simplified manner, FIG. 10B is a plan view thereof, and FIG. 10C is a front view thereof. In order to omit redundant description, the same parts as those of the position detection device shown in FIG. Further, since four sensor parts are included, branch numbers (-1 to -4) are attached for distinction.
The
The
When the operator moves the moving
FIG. 11 is a block diagram showing an electrical configuration of the position detection apparatus shown in FIG. The two electromagnetic transducers 3-1 and 3-3 that detect the position in the X-axis direction convert the magnetic field strength into a voltage and output it. The
