Claims (4)
- LEDを駆動するLED駆動装置において、
前記LEDに流れる電流が所定の目標電流値に至るように線形モード電流を増減させて前記LEDに出力する線形モード駆動部と;
前記線形モード電流が所定の基準電流値を超えているか否かによってスイッチモード電流を増減させて前記LEDに出力するスイッチモード駆動部とを含み、
前記線形モード駆動部は、
前記LEDに流れる電流の電流値と前記目標電流値との差に対応する信号を出力するエラーアンプと;
前記エラーアンプの出力信号に対応して前記線形モード電流を増加または減少させて前記LEDに出力する出力トランジスターとを含み、
前記スイッチモード駆動部は、
所定の電源装置から供給される電源による矩形波電流を積分して前記スイッチモード電流に変換するインダクターと;
前記インダクターに前記電源装置の電源を供給または遮断するスイッチと;
前記スイッチがターンオフされた場合、前記インダクターに流れる電流をフリーホイールさせるダイオードと;
前記線形モード電流の電流値と前記基準電流値を比較して、前記線形モード電流が前記基準電流値を超えているか否かによって論理的ハイまたはロー信号を出力する比較部と;
前記比較部の出力信号によって前記スイッチを開閉する信号を出力して前記スイッチを駆動するスイッチ駆動部とを含むことを特徴とするLED駆動装置。 - 前記LEDの出力端であるカソードにその一端が連結され、他端は接地されており、前記LEDに流れる電流を検出して前記検出された電流に対応する電圧を前記エラーアンプに提供する第1電流検出部をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のLED駆動装置。
- 出力端が前記比較部の非反転入力端子と連結されており、
前記線形モード駆動部から出力される前記線形モード電流を検出して前記線形モード電流に対応する電圧を前記非反転入力端子へ印加する第2電流検出部をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のLED駆動装置。 - 前記線形モード電流及び前記スイッチモード電流が複数のLEDに順次に流れるように、前記複数のLED各々に対して前記線形モード電流及び前記スイッチモード電流を供給または遮断するスイッチブロックをさらに含み、
前記スイッチブロックは、
複数の分岐スイッチ及び前記複数の分岐スイッチを駆動する分岐スイッチ駆動部を含み、RGB各色に対応して前記目標電流値が変化することによって、前記複数の分岐スイッチを順次に開閉させることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のLED駆動装置。
