従来より、軸筒内にインキを直接収納した直詰めタイプのボールペンとして、水性インキボールペンは良く知られている。最近では、軸筒内に、剪断減粘性を有するインキと該インキの後部にインキの消費と共に追従するグリース状のフォロアを直詰めしてなるボールペンも商品として提供されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
剪断減粘性を有するインキとグリース状のフォロアを軸筒内に直詰めしてなるボールペンの構造は、ほとんどのものが合成樹脂からなるチップホルダーの先端にボールを回転自在に設けたボールペンチップを装着し、そのチップホルダーの後端部をインキを直詰めした軸筒の先端部に圧入してなるものである。チップホルダーの後端部を圧入した軸筒の先端部分は、常に内部応力が生じた状態になっている。また、筆記時におけるボールペンチップに加わる応力により、チップホルダーに内部から外部方向への応力が加わり、さらに軸筒の先端部にも内部から外部方向への応力が伝わる。こうした応力のために、経時により軸筒先端部分のチップホルダーの圧入力が低下してしまうという問題があった。チップホルダーの圧入力が低下すると、チップホルダーが容易に抜け落ちしてしまったり、圧入部からインキ漏れが発生し易い等の問題が生じる。

本発明はこうした問題に鑑み、軸筒やチップホルダーを特定の材質で形成するのではなく、従来から用いている材質で軸筒を形成可能で、チップホルダーの圧入部が、経時的に圧入力が低下することなく、容易に抜け落ちたり、圧入部からのインキ漏れの発生し難い軸筒内に剪断減粘性を有するインキを直詰めしたボールペンを得ることにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、ボールを回転自在に設けたボールペンチップを先端に装着したチップホルダーの後端部を、内部に剪断減粘性を有するインキと該インキの後部にインキの消費と共に追従するグリース状のフォロアを直詰めした軸筒の先端部に圧入してなるボールペンにおいて、チップホルダーの後端部を圧入した軸筒の先端部分の外周面を金属管で被覆したことを特徴とするボールペンである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の実施の形態を図面を用いて説明する。同じ部材、同じ箇所を示すものは同じ符号を付す。本発明の実施の形態では、キャップについての説明を省略しているが、本発明がキャップを有さない構造のボールペンに特定するものではない。本発明におけるキャップ構造は極一般的な構造で特筆するものでないので、説明を省略したものである。
第1の実施の形態を示すボールペン1は、チップホルダー2をポリアセタール、ポリプロピレン、ポリカーボネート等の樹脂で、軸筒3をポリプロピレン、ポリカーボネート、アクリルニトリルスチレン等の樹脂で透明に形成する。チップホルダー2には嵌着孔4を設けてあり、該嵌着孔4には先端にボール5を回転自在に設けたボールペンチップ6を挿着してある。嵌着孔4には後端に開口したインキ通路7が連通している。チップホルダー2の後端側の圧入部8は小径としてあり、軸筒3の先すぼみ状とした先端部3aに圧入可能としてある。

本発明の剪断減粘性を有するインキとグリース状のフォロアを直に収容したボールペンは前述したような構造なので、軸筒やチップホルダーを特定の材質で形成するのではなく、従来から用いている材質で軸筒を形成可能で、チップホルダーの圧入部が、経時的に圧入力が低下することなく、容易に抜け落ちたり、圧入部からのインキ漏れの発生し難い軸筒内に剪断減粘性を有するインキを直詰めしたボールペンを得ることができた。
