Claims (5)
- 1気筒もしくは複数気筒に接続されたメイン排気通路から吸気系へ排気の一部を還流するように分岐形成され、かつ排気還流制御弁を備えた排気還流通路と、排気系の下流へ排気を導くように上記排気還流通路からさらに分岐形成され、かつ上記排気還流通路よりも通路断面積が小さなバイパス通路と、このバイパス通路に介装されたバイパス触媒コンバータと、を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気装置。
- 各気筒に各々接続されたメイン排気通路から排気還流通路がそれぞれ分岐形成されるとともに、この複数の排気還流通路が最終的に1本の流路に合流しており、この1本の流路に合流した部分から上記バイパス通路が分岐していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 内燃機関の一端に位置する第1の気筒の排気還流通路が、当該気筒のメイン排気通路の分岐点から内燃機関の他端側へと向かって略直線状に延びており、この排気還流通路に対し適宜な角度で交差するように残りの気筒の排気還流通路がそれぞれ異なる点で順次接続され、かつ最終的に1本の流路に合流した下流側の排気還流通路は、上記第1の気筒の排気還流通路に略直線状に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 上記バイパス通路は、上記バイパス触媒コンバータよりも下流側で上記メイン排気通路に合流していることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
- 排気がメイン排気通路からバイパス通路へ流れるように、分岐点より下流側で上記メイン排気通路を閉塞する流路切換弁を備えていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気装置。
