Description
大径筒部より軟質の材料から形成され厚肉部と薄肉部とが円周方向に交互に形成されて内周断面が非円形で内周表面にシール突条を有し、大径筒部内に挿入された後に相手部材に嵌合されるリング状のグロメットとよりなり、大径筒部の外周表面から締結部材を縮径させることで大径部と小径部とが周方向に交互に形成された相手部材に大径筒部及びグロメットが締結される等速ジョイント用ブーツであって、
シール突条はクランプ溝の幅内にあり、グロメットの薄肉部の内周表面には相手部材の大径部の外周表面に形成された凹部と係合する位置決め突起が突出し、大径筒部に挿入されたグロメットに相手部材を嵌合後の位置決め突起の最小内径部の位置が締結部材の締めしろから外れ大径筒部の端面より外側に位置して凹部と係合していることにある。
図1に本実施例の等速ジョイント用ブーツの分解斜視図を、図2に相手部材に嵌合した状態の要部拡大断面図を示す。この等速ジョイント用ブーツは、ブーツ本体1と、ブーツ本体1の大径筒部11内に挿入されたリング状のグロメット2とから構成されている。ブーツ本体1は比較的硬質の熱可塑性エラストマーからブロー成形により形成され、グロメット2はゴム又は比較的軟質の熱可塑性エラストマーから射出成形により形成されている。
本参考例の等速ジョイント用ブーツを、ジョイントアウターレース3と嵌合した状態を図4に示す。本参考例では、位置決め突起23がグロメット2の反対側の端部近傍に形成され、凹部32がジョイントアウターレース3の先端近傍に形成されたこと以外は実施例1と同様の構成である。
本参考例の等速ジョイント用ブーツを、ジョイントアウターレース3と嵌合した状態を図5に示す。本参考例では、グロメット2の蛇腹部12側の端部に形位置決め突起26が形成され、ジョイントアウターレース3の先端に切欠き状の凹部33が形成されていること以外は実施例1と同様の構成である。

Claims (2)
- シャフトに保持される小径筒部と、該小径筒部と離間して同軸的に配置され該小径筒部より大径の大径筒部と、該小径筒部と該大径筒部を一体的に連結する略円錐台形状の蛇腹部とからなり該大径筒部の外周表面にクランプ溝をもつブーツ本体と、
該大径筒部より軟質の材料から形成され厚肉部と薄肉部とが円周方向に交互に形成されて内周断面が非円形で内周表面にシール突条を有し、該大径筒部内に挿入された後に相手部材に嵌合されるリング状のグロメットとよりなり、該大径筒部の外周表面から締結部材を縮径させることで大径部と小径部とが周方向に交互に形成された相手部材に該大径筒部及び該グロメットが締結される等速ジョイント用ブーツであって、
該シール突条は該クランプ溝の幅内にあり、
該グロメットの該薄肉部の内周表面には該相手部材の該大径部の外周表面に形成された凹部と係合する位置決め突起が突出し、該大径筒部に挿入された該グロメットに該相手部材を嵌合後の該位置決め突起の最小内径部の位置が該締結部材の締めしろから外れ該大径筒部の端面より外側に位置して該凹部と係合していることを特徴とする等速ジョイント用ブーツ。 - 前記グロメットの外周表面には、前記大径筒部の端面が当接する凸部をもつ請求項1に記載の等速ジョイント用ブーツ。
