BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a golf club and a golf club set in which head dimensions are appropriately set, and more particularly to a golf club and a golf club set with improved hitting directionality and flight distance.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The iron golf club set has about 10 pieces from a long iron to a short iron, and the club length and the loft angle are variously varied so that different flight distances (several meters to about 200 meters) are obtained. ing.
[0003]
In general, a golf club having a smaller iron count has a smaller loft angle and a longer club length to make it easier to obtain a flight distance, while a club having a larger iron count has a loft angle. By increasing the size and shortening the club length, it is easy to raise the ball, and the run is reduced to emphasize the directionality.
[0004]
In the golf club set described above, head dimensions such as face progression are gradually changed between the clubs, but not all clubs have been set to optimum dimensions. For this reason, particularly with long irons, the sweet spot is too high and it is difficult to raise the ball, and the distance between the center of gravity of the head and the shaft axis is too long and the ball tends to go right.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a rubber Ruff club set that allows for improved hit ball direction and distance by appropriately setting the head dimensions.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the golf club set of the present invention has a head mounted on the tip of the shaft, and the loft angle of the face surface of the head is set so as to increase sequentially as the count increases. In a golf club set including a plurality of golf clubs consisting of a number iron golf clubs A3 to A9, a pitching wedge PW, and a sand wedge SW, the
[0009]
In this way, by setting the head dimension of a so-called long iron having a loft angle in the range of 20 to 30 ° to an optimum value and configuring a golf club set based on this, a hit ball as a whole set Directionality and flight distance can be improved. In particular, as the loft angle increases, the distance GL is preferably gradually decreased and the height GH is gradually increased. When the height GH is gradually increased as the loft angle increases, the hitting directionality of a so-called short iron called a golf club can be further improved.
[0010]
The golf club set of the present invention includes various wedges such as sand wedges and pitching wedges in addition to 3 to 9 irons as a golf club. An outside golf club may be included.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0012]
FIG. 1 illustrates a golf club set according to an embodiment of the present invention, and includes golf clubs A3 to A9 (Nos. 3 to 9 iron), a golf club PW (pitching wedge), and a golf club SW (sand wedge). 9). Each golf club has a structure in which a grip 1 is attached to the rear end portion of the shaft S and a
[0013]
These golf clubs A3 to A9, PW, and SW are set so that the loft angle X (°) increases and the club length decreases as the number increases. That is, the golf clubs A3 to A9, PW, and SW are set so that the hitting distance is shortened as the number is increased. For example, the loft angles X of the golf clubs A3 to A9, PW, and SW are set to 20 °, 23 °, 26 °, 29 °, 33 °, 37 °, 41 °, 46 °, and 56 °.
[0014]
2 and 3 show head dimensions in the present invention. However, FIG. 2 is a side view showing a state in which the head is disposed on the horizontal plane H so as to have a predetermined loft angle X, and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the head viewed from the shaft axis direction. As shown in FIG. 2, the face advance amount FP is an advance amount with respect to the shaft axis S 1 of the leading edge of the
[0015]
In the golf club set described above, the golf clubs A3 to A6 having the loft angle X in the range of 20 to 30 ° have the face advance amount FP set in the range of 5 to 20 mm and the center of gravity retreat amount GR in the range of 5 to 10 mm. The center of gravity distance GL is set in a range of 20 to 35 mm, and the center of gravity height GH is set in a range of 11 to 21 mm. Moreover, in all the golf clubs A3 to A9, PW and SW, as the loft angle X increases, the face advance amount FP gradually decreases, the center of gravity retraction amount GR gradually increases, and the center of gravity distance GL gradually increases. The center of gravity height GH is set to gradually increase.
[0016]
In the above golf club set, a long iron made of golf clubs A3 to A6 having a loft angle X in the range of 20 to 30 ° has a large face advance amount FP and a low center of gravity height GH, which makes it easy to raise the ball. Can be increased. Further, since the center-of-gravity retraction amount GR and the center-of-gravity distance GL are set in an optimum range, the variation in hitting balls to the left and right hardly occurs, and the directionality is excellent. If the face advance amount FP and the center of gravity height GH are out of the above range, the effect of increasing the flight distance becomes insufficient, and if the center of gravity retraction amount GR and the center of gravity distance GL are out of the above range, good directivity cannot be obtained.
[0017]
The golf club set is based on the set value of the long iron, and as the loft angle X increases, the face advance amount FP is gradually decreased, the center of gravity retreat amount GR is gradually increased, and the distance GL is gradually increased. Therefore, the entire set is superior to the conventional golf club set in terms of directionality and flight distance. In particular, when the height GH is gradually increased as the loft angle is increased, the golf ball A7 to A9, PW, SW and the short iron made of the golf clubs increase the spin amount of the ball due to the gear effect, thereby improving the directionality. And the run after landing can be reduced.
[0018]
【Example】
In a golf club set including a plurality of golf clubs with different loft angles of the face surface, an advance amount FP with respect to the shaft axis of the leading edge of the face surface, a retract amount GR of the head center of gravity with respect to the shaft axis, a head center of gravity and a shaft axis distance GL, the height GH of the intersection of the perpendicular and the face surface down to face the center of gravity of the head, tables 1 set conventional set 1 as 4, comparative set and the present invention sets the It was produced, respectively.
[0019]
For these test sets, test shots were made by five senior golfers, and the launch angle, spin amount immediately after hitting, and flight distance were measured, and the deviation of the ball with respect to the center line was measured as a direction indicator. Are shown together in Tables 1 to 4. The evaluation results of launch angle, spin rate, and flight distance are shown as indices with the conventional set 1 as 100. A larger index value means a larger measured value of launch angle, spin rate, and flight distance. Moreover, the evaluation result of directionality was shown by the index | exponent which makes the conventional set 1 100 using the reciprocal number of a measured value. A larger index value means better directionality.

[Table 1]
[0021]
[Table 2]
[0022]
[Table 3]
[0023]
[Table 4]
[0024]
The Tables 1-4 as apparent from the present invention set the long irons the larger distance for easy raising ball was direction also good. Also, short iron of the present invention set many spin rate, control properties were good.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the face advance amount FP, the center-of-gravity retraction amount GR, the center-of-gravity distance GL, and the center-of-gravity height GH are set to optimum values. In short iron, the ball spin rate can be improved by increasing the spin amount of the ball.
