Description

In the present invention, a plurality of recording materials are arranged in a line in the width direction of the recording material that is pressed against the conveying driving roller by a predetermined pressing force and conveys the recording material by a pressure feeding action with the conveying driving roller. The present invention relates to a pressure contact force adjusting mechanism for a transport driven roller and a recording apparatus including a pressure contact force adjusting mechanism for the transport driven roller.
Furthermore, the present invention relates to a liquid ejecting apparatus such as an ink jet recording apparatus that performs recording (attaches liquid) on a recording material (liquid ejecting material) by ejecting (ejecting) a liquid such as ink from the head, The present invention relates to a pressure contact force adjusting mechanism for a driven roller for conveyance provided in a liquid ejecting apparatus.

Here, the liquid ejecting apparatus uses an ink jet recording head, and is not limited to a recording apparatus such as a printer, a copying machine, and a facsimile machine that records ink on a recording material by discharging ink from the recording head. It is used to include a device for ejecting a liquid corresponding to the application from a liquid ejecting head corresponding to the recording head to a liquid ejecting material corresponding to a recording material and attaching the liquid to the liquid ejecting material.

In addition to the recording head, as a liquid ejecting head, a color material ejecting head used for manufacturing a color filter such as a liquid crystal display, and an electrode material (conductive paste) used for forming an electrode such as an organic EL display or a surface emitting display (FED) Examples thereof include an ejection head, a bioorganic matter ejection head used for biochip production, and a sample ejection head as a precision pipette.

Hereinafter, an ink jet printer which is an example of an ink jet recording apparatus or a liquid ejecting apparatus will be described as an example.
In an ink jet printer, paper is set in a feeding tray or a feeding cassette, and the upper paper of the paper set in a stacked state is pulled out by the pressure feeding action between the feeding roller and the hopper, and further, The upper sheet is separated from the succeeding sheet so that only the uppermost sheet is guided to the conveyance path. Further, when the leading edge of the sheet fed to the transport path comes into contact with the detection lever, the passage of the sheet is confirmed, and an operation timer of an automatic low speed switching control means described later starts.

Further, the sheet is further conveyed downstream in the conveyance direction and enters between the conveyance drive roller and the conveyance driven roller provided in a pressure contact state, and is sandwiched between the conveyance drive roller and the conveyance driven roller. The recording head and the platen are guided to a recording position where the recording head and the platen are arranged to face each other by the pressure feeding action. The transport driving roller is a long roller that extends in the width direction of the sheet and rotates by receiving a driving force from a motor. A plurality of driven rollers for conveyance are individually disposed in the width direction of the sheet, and are short rollers that convey the sheet by a nipping-feeding action with the conveyance drive roller.

The paper guided to the recording position enters between the discharge driving roller and the discharge driven roller provided in a pressure contact state after predetermined recording is performed, and the discharge drive roller and the discharge driven roller It is discharged by the pressure feeding action. At this time, the rotation speed of the discharge drive roller is set in advance higher than the rotation speed of the conveyance drive roller in order to maintain the tension state of the sheet in the middle of recording. Accordingly, when the end of the paper is separated from the transport driving roller and the transport driven roller with the rotational speed of the transport driving roller as it is, the paper transport speed is temporarily increased at that moment, and the end of the paper is reached. A phenomenon called “kicking off” occurs, which causes the head to rub up and down and cause head rubbing and the like.

Therefore, the ink jet printer is provided with an automatic low speed switching control unit as disclosed in Patent Document 1 below, and the end of the paper is in a pressure contact state by operating the automatic low speed switching control unit. In the state immediately before leaving the transport drive roller and the transport driven roller, the rotational speeds of the discharge drive roller and the transport drive roller are both switched to a low speed to prevent the occurrence of the “kicking”. However, if the rotation speed of the conveyance drive roller is uniformly switched to a low speed, the conveyance speed of the sheet is decreased, and thus the throughput, which is the time from when the sheet is fed and discharged, is reduced.

Therefore, the present invention has been made in view of the existence of such background technology and the problems that the background technology has, and has a very simple configuration and uses a difference in the width dimension of the recording material. Pressing force adjusting mechanism of a driven roller for conveyance capable of preventing kicking of the recording material, maintaining execution of high-precision recording and improving throughput of the recording material, and adjusting mechanism of the pressing force of the driven roller for conveyance It is an object of the present invention to provide a recording apparatus or the like provided with

In order to solve the above-described problem, the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism of the driven roller for conveyance according to the first aspect of the present invention is brought into pressure contact with the conveyance drive roller by a predetermined pressure force, and is pinched with the conveyance drive roller. A plurality of conveying driven roller pressure contact force adjusting mechanisms arranged individually in the width direction of the recording material that conveys the recording material by a feeding action, wherein each of the conveying driven roller pressure adjusting force mechanisms includes: A plurality of roller driven rollers or a plurality of roller driven rollers individually holding the roller as a unit, and a plurality of pressure contact forces acting individually on the roller sets. The pressing force generated by the pressing force applying means is small on the reference position side at the switching position that is a predetermined distance away from the predetermined reference position in the width direction of the recording material. Ku, and is characterized in that it is set to be larger at the other end.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, when recording is performed on a recording material having a small width dimension that does not reach the switching position with the switching position as a boundary, it is positioned on the other end side from the switching position. Since the driven roller for conveyance is directly pressed against the conveyance drive roller without passing through the recording material, the conveyance driven roller has a control action for reducing the rotational force of the conveyance drive roller. Therefore, the rotational force of the conveying drive roller can be reduced and the kicking amount of the recording material can be reduced without operating the automatic low speed switching control means, which contributes to the improvement of the recording quality. Further, the throughput of the recording material is improved as compared with the conventional method in which the automatic low-speed switching control means is uniformly operated.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, the pressure adjusting force adjusting mechanism for the driven roller for conveyance includes a recording material having a width dimension of about 130 to 150 mm as a reference size. A smaller recording material and a larger recording material are set so as to be distributed.
According to the second aspect of the present invention, for example, when recording is performed on a recording material having a width dimension of 127 mm and a size of 2 L or less, the conveying drive roller is braked. Accordingly, the throughput can be improved when recording is performed on a recording material of L size, 4 × 6 inches, and 2L size, which is often used when printing a large number of photographs.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect of the present invention, the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism for the conveying driven roller is configured such that the pressure contact force generated by the pressure contact force applying means is separated from the switching position. Is set to about 650 gf on the reference position side and about 1000 gf on the other end side.
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the transport driven roller can be brought into pressure contact with the transport drive roller without imposing an excessive load that impedes transport of the recording material by the transport drive roller. It becomes possible to reduce the kicking amount of the recording material by reducing the rotational force of the roller.

According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism for the driven roller for conveyance according to any one of the first to third aspects of the present invention, the width dimension of the recording material is changed from the reference position to the switching position. When recording is performed on a recording material that is larger than the distance up to, the end of the recording material is in a state of being in pressure contact with the transport driving roller and the transport driven roller immediately before leaving the transport driving roller. When the automatic low speed switching control means for switching the rotation speed to a low speed is operated, on the other hand, when recording is performed on the recording material whose width dimension of the recording material is smaller than the distance from the reference position to the switching position, The automatic low-speed switching control means is not operated.

According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, when recording is performed on a recording material having a large width exceeding the switching position, the automatic low speed switching control means is operated to prevent the recording material from being kicked. On the other hand, when recording is performed on a recording material with a small width dimension that does not reach the switching position, the rotational force of the transport driving roller is reduced by the braking action of the transport driven roller on the other end side with a large pressure contact force. This can be reduced to prevent kicking of the recording material. Therefore, it is possible to improve the throughput of the recording material while maintaining the recording quality.

According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism for the driven roller for conveyance according to any one of the first to fourth aspects of the present invention, the reference position is one side in the width direction of the recording material. It is characterized in that it is determined with reference to a regulation surface of a fixed edge guide provided in a fixed state with respect to a feeding tray that regulates the edge.
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, it is possible to improve the throughput of the recording material in a recording apparatus or the like provided with a feeding tray or the like that aligns the recording material with the side edges (edges) of the recording material. It becomes possible. Further, since the distance from the reference position to the switching position directly corresponds to the width dimension of the recording material, the switching position can be easily set.

A recording apparatus according to a sixth aspect of the present invention includes a conveying drive roller that is extended in the width direction of the recording material and rotates by receiving a driving force from a motor, and a plurality of recording rollers individually in the width direction of the recording material. A driven roller that is arranged in an individual manner and that transports a recording material by a pressure-feeding action with the transport drive roller, and a transport driven roller that adjusts the pressure contact force of the transport driven roller against the transport drive roller A pressure contact force adjusting mechanism of the driven roller for conveyance according to any one of the first to fifth aspects of the present invention as the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism of the driven roller for conveyance. It is characterized by being applied.

According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, when recording is performed on a recording material having a small width dimension that does not reach the switching position with the switching position as a boundary, it is positioned on the other end side from the switching position. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a recording apparatus having a simple configuration with good recording quality and excellent recording material throughput.

A liquid ejecting apparatus according to a seventh aspect of the present invention includes a conveying drive roller that is extended in the width direction of the liquid ejecting material and rotates by receiving a driving force from a motor, and a width direction of the liquid ejecting material. A plurality of individually arranged and arranged, and a driven roller for transporting the liquid jetting material by a pressure feeding action with the transport drive roller, and a pressure contact force of the transport driven roller to the transport drive roller are adjusted. A liquid ejecting apparatus including a conveying driven roller pressure contact force adjusting mechanism, wherein the conveying driven roller pressure contact force adjusting mechanism includes an individual conveying driven roller or a plurality of conveying driven rollers as a unit. A plurality of sets of roller holders that are individually held in a freely rotatable manner, and a plurality of pressure contact force applying means that individually act on the plurality of sets of roller holders. The pressure contact force to be generated is set so as to be small at the reference position side and large at the other end side at the switching position that is a predetermined distance away from the predetermined reference position in the width direction of the liquid jet material. It is a feature.

Hereinafter, a recording apparatus which is an example of a liquid ejecting apparatus provided with a pressure contact force adjusting mechanism for a transport driven roller and a pressure contact force adjusting mechanism for the transport driven roller according to the present invention will be described. The automatic feeding device 2 includes a feeding tray 5 on which a plurality of sheets P can be stacked, a hopper 16 that pushes the sheets P on the feeding tray 5 toward the feeding roller 14, and a hopper The feeding roller 14 that picks up the upper sheet P on the feeding tray 5 by the nipping pressure feeding action with the sheet 16, and the succeeding sheet P that is double-fed so that only the uppermost sheet P is fed. Is provided with a separation pad (not shown) that is an example of a separation action unit that separates the uppermost sheet P from the uppermost sheet P, and a return mechanism (not shown) that returns the separated subsequent sheet P onto the feeding tray 5.

In FIG. 1, a portion of the printer main body 3 that is closer to the rear of the upper surface is a feeding tray cover 9, with a hinge portion (not shown) provided on the back side as a rotation center and the front side upward. Then, the internal feeding tray 5 can be used by expanding it obliquely rearward. Further, an automatic conveyance path for cut sheets for automatically feeding the sheet P and conveying it toward the recording position 26 and the discharge stacker 50 is provided inside the printer body 3.

Next, the outline of the internal structure of the inkjet printer 100 will be described according to the automatic conveyance path of the paper P. First, a feeding tray 5 which is an example of a liquid injection material stacking section for stacking sheets P is provided on the most upstream side in the transport direction. Further, the feeding tray 5 is in contact with one side edge (edge) of the paper P, and is provided in a fixed state with respect to the feeding tray 5, and the other side edge of the paper P. There is provided a movable edge guide 15B that is in contact with (edge) and is movable in the width direction (main scanning direction X) of the paper P with respect to the feeding tray 5.

The fixed edge guide 15A and the movable edge guide 15B have a role of performing alignment in the width direction of the paper P and guiding smooth conveyance of the paper P in the conveyance direction (the sub-scanning direction Y). . The sheet P on the feeding tray 5 is raised at a predetermined timing with the rotation of the rotation shaft 17 of the feeding roller 14 and pushed up toward the feeding roller 14. Then, with the rotation of the feeding roller 14, the number of units is borrowed with the help of a separation pad (not shown) which is an example of a separation action unit provided in the vicinity of the feeding roller 14 in order from the sheet P positioned on the uppermost surface. Picked up one by one and sent downstream in the transport direction.

Downstream of the feeding roller 14, there is provided a recording material detection means (not shown) (hereinafter simply referred to as a detection lever) which is an example of a liquid injection material detection means for detecting the passage of the paper P. On the downstream side, a conveyance roller 19 including a conveyance drive roller 19a and a conveyance driven roller 19b is provided. Among these, the driven roller 19b for conveyance is pivotally supported on the downstream side of the roller holder 18 for the driven roller for conveyance, and the roller holder 18 is provided so as to be rotatable about a rotation shaft (not shown), and a torsion coil spring. The conveyance driven roller 19b is urged to rotate so as to be in a nip state in which the conveyance driven roller 19b is always in pressure contact with the conveyance drive roller 19a.

Further, an auxiliary presser roller 18c is provided downstream of the roller holder 18 in the conveying direction, and the auxiliary presser roller 18c is pivotally supported by a roller holder for an auxiliary presser roller (not shown) so as to be driven to rotate. The auxiliary presser roller 18c is provided for the purpose of preventing head rubbing caused by lifting of the end of the paper P. Then, the paper P that is conveyed while being pinched by the conveying roller 19 is guided to the recording position 26 through the lower side of the auxiliary pressing roller 18c.

The recording position 26 is supported by a carriage guide shaft 12 that can reciprocate in the main scanning direction X as a main component of a recording execution unit that is an example of a liquid jet execution unit that executes recording on the paper P. A carriage 10 is provided. A recording head 13, which is an example of a liquid ejecting head that performs recording by ejecting (ejecting) ink, which is an example of liquid, onto the paper P is mounted on the lower surface of the carriage 10. The carriage 10 is mounted with an ink cartridge (not shown), which is an example of a liquid cartridge.

A platen 28 that defines a platen gap PG between the head surface of the recording head 13 and the paper P is provided below the recording head 13 so as to face the recording head 13. Then, between the carriage 10 and the platen 28, the sheet P is transported by a predetermined transport amount in the sub-scanning direction Y orthogonal to the main scanning direction X, and the recording head 13 is reciprocated once in the main scanning direction X. The desired recording is performed over the entire recording surface of the paper P by alternately repeating the operation of ejecting ink from the recording head 13 onto the paper P. The platen gap PG is an extremely important element for executing high-precision recording, and is appropriately adjusted according to the change in the thickness of the paper P and the use of a disc tray or the like. Yes.

A discharge roller 20, which is an example of a liquid ejecting material discharge unit configured by a discharge drive roller 20 a and a discharge driven roller 20 b, is provided downstream of the recording head 13. A discharge auxiliary roller 22 for assisting discharge of the cut sheet C is provided downstream of the discharge roller 20 in the transport direction. The discharge auxiliary roller 22 also belongs to the liquid ejecting material discharge means, and includes a discharge auxiliary drive roller 22a and a discharge auxiliary driven roller 22b. Then, the cut sheet C discharged by the discharge auxiliary roller 22 is further discharged onto a placement surface 51 on a discharge stacker 50 which is an example of a liquid injection material receiving portion located downstream in the transport direction. .

The discharge driven roller 20b and the discharge auxiliary driven roller 22b are toothed rollers having a plurality of teeth on the outer periphery thereof, and are rotatably supported by a roller holder that holds each of them. The transport driven roller 19b is disposed so that its axial center position is located somewhat downstream in the transport direction with respect to the transport drive roller 19a. By adopting such an arrangement, the sheet P is slightly bent downward between the transporting roller 19 and the discharging roller 20, so that a curved state called “back-sliding” is formed. The As a result, the paper P located at the position facing the recording head 13 is pressed against the platen 28, and the paper P is prevented from being lifted, so that the recording is executed normally.

FIG. 4 is a plan view showing the peripheral portion of the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism of the driven roller for conveyance when using 2L size paper, and FIG. 5 is the peripheral portion of the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism of the driven roller for conveyance when using 2L size paper. FIG. FIG. 6 is a plan view showing a portion around the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism of the driven roller for conveyance when using A4 size paper, and FIG. 7 is a front view showing a portion around the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism of the driven roller for conveyance when using A4 size paper. FIG. FIG. 8 is a graph showing the relationship between the width dimension of the paper and the rotational force or kicking amount at the outer peripheral portion of the conveying drive roller 19.

The conveying driven roller pressure contact force adjusting mechanism 1 of the present invention is applied to the conveying driven roller 19b described above, and is provided for the purpose of adjusting the pressing force F of the conveying driven roller 19b to the conveying drive roller 19a. It has been. The transport driven rollers 19b are short and small-diameter rollers, and are provided as an example, and are arranged in an aligned state on a straight line along the width dimension B of the paper P with an appropriate interval. Has been. Each of the two transporting driven rollers 19b is configured as one unit, and two transporting driven rollers 19b are provided by three roller holders 18 that individually rotate about a rotating shaft (not shown). It is supported so that it can freely rotate. Further, the conveyance drive roller 19a is constituted by a single roller having a long and large diameter that extends horizontally between both side plates of the printer main body 3, and receives a driving force from a motor (not shown) to receive the paper P The drive rotates in the direction of conveying.

In the conveyance follower roller pressure contact force adjusting mechanism 1 of the present invention, the six conveyance follower rollers 19b are divided into three units by two, and the two conveyance follower rollers 19b are individually held freely. The three sets of roller holders 18 and three torsion coil springs 30 as pressurizing force applying means acting individually on the three sets of roller holders 18 are configured. Further, the pressure F generated by the torsion coil spring 30 is small on the reference position O side and opposite to the switching position Q that is a predetermined distance S away from the predetermined reference position O in the width direction of the paper P. It is set to be larger at the other end side.

In the figure, the large pressure contact force F is F1, the small pressure contact force F is F2, the torsion coil spring 30 that generates the large pressure contact force F1 is 30A, and the torsion coil spring 30 that generates the small pressure contact force F2 is 30B. Identifying. The switching position Q is set such that a paper P having a width dimension B of about 130 to 150 mm is set as a reference size, and a paper P smaller than that and a paper P larger than the paper P are sorted. Specifically, the switching position Q is set to a position where a small paper P1 having a width dimension B of 127 mm or less and a paper P2 having a larger width dimension B, for example, an A4 size paper P, is distributed.

In this embodiment, two units and four transport driven rollers 19b are arranged on the reference position O side with the switching position Q as a boundary, and one unit and two transport driven rollers 19b are arranged on the other end side. 2 units located on the reference position O side, the pressure contact force F acting on the four conveyance driven rollers 19b is about 650 gf (becomes a small pressure contact force F2), 1 unit located on the other end side, and two units for conveyance The pressure contact force F acting on the driven roller 19b is set to about 1000 gf (a large pressure contact force F1). In this embodiment, the paper P is aligned using the side edge alignment feeding tray 5 that regulates the side edge (edge) of the paper P. Therefore, the reference position O is determined with reference to the regulation surface of the fixed edge guide 15A provided in a fixed state with respect to the feeding tray 5 that regulates one side edge in the width direction of the paper P. The distance S between the position O and the switching position Q is set to 150 mm as an example.

Next, operation modes of the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism 1 of the conveyance driven roller of the present invention configured as described above are (1) when printing on a paper smaller than the reference size, and (2) a paper larger than the reference size. This will be described separately for the case of printing. Further, the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism 1 of the transport driven roller of the present invention is configured so that the transport drive roller 19a is in a state immediately before the end of the sheet P is separated from the transport drive roller 19a and the transport driven roller 19b. The effect is exhibited more remarkably by the combination with the automatic low speed switching control means 31 for switching the rotation speed to a low speed.

(1) When printing on paper smaller than the standard size (see FIGS. 4 and 5)
When printing on a sheet P1 smaller than the reference size, the small sheet P1 enters the transport path in a state where the right side edge in the drawing is held by the fixed edge guide 15A in the feeding tray 5 and close to the right end side. Therefore, as shown in the drawing, a small pressure contact force F2 is received only from the two units and the four transport driven rollers 19b located on the reference position O side with the switching position Q as a boundary. Therefore, the small sheet P1 does not receive the pressing force F from the one unit and the two transport driven rollers 19b located on the other end opposite to the switching position Q.

The transport driven roller 19b located on the other end side with the switching position Q as a boundary is in a state of being strongly pressed against the transport drive roller 19a by a large pressure contact force F1 from the torsion coil spring 30B. In this case, the large pressure contact force F1 of the conveyance driven roller 19b has a braking action to weaken the rotational force on the outer peripheral portion of the conveyance drive roller 19a, and acts to reduce the kicking amount of the paper P. Accordingly, when printing on paper P1 smaller than the reference size, the automatic low-speed switching control means 31 does not need to be operated. Therefore, the automatic low-speed switching control means 31 is not operated, and the automatic low-speed switching control means 31 is activated. The throughput of the paper P is improved by the amount that it is not operated.

(2) When printing on paper larger than the standard size (see FIGS. 6 and 7)
When printing on paper P2 larger than the reference size, as shown in the figure, two units positioned on the reference position O side with the switching position Q as a boundary, four transport driven rollers 19b, and 1 positioned on the other end side. The large sheet P2 receives the pressing force F from both the unit and the two driven rollers 19b. Therefore, in this case, the braking action on the transport drive roller 19a by the transport driven roller 19b located on the other end side outside the switching position Q does not occur.

In this case, the automatic low speed switching control means 31 is operated to slow down the rotation speed of the conveying drive roller 19a, thereby preventing the paper P from being kicked.

Next, the effect of the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism 1 of the driven roller for conveyance according to the present invention will be verified based on FIG. In FIG. 8, the vertical axis represents the rotational force and kicking amount at the outer periphery of the conveying drive roller 19a, and the horizontal axis represents the width dimension B of the paper P. Further, in FIG. 8, the solid line with rhombus marks indicates a case where all the pressure contact forces F2 of the torsion coil spring 30 are set to a small pressure force F2 of 650 gf and no rotational resistance is applied to the transport drive roller 19a. A solid line with a square mark indicates a case where the pressure contact force F of the torsion coil spring 30 is set to a small pressure contact force F2 of 650 gf, and a rotational resistance of 42 g is applied to the transport drive roller 19a.

A solid line with a triangular mark indicates a case where the pressure contact force F of the torsion coil spring 30 is set to a small pressure contact force F2 of 650 gf, and a rotational resistance of 84 g is applied to the transport drive roller 19a. A broken line with a triangular mark indicates a state at the time of occurrence of kicking when the pressure contact force F of the torsion coil spring 30 is set to a small pressure contact force F2 of 650 gf. A broken line with a rhombus mark is a torsion coil located on the other end side, with the press contact force F2 of the torsion coil spring 30A located on the reference position O side at the switching position Q as a small press force F2 of 650 gf. The state when kicking occurs when the pressure contact force F of the spring 30B is set to a large pressure contact force F1 of 1000 gf is shown.

As can be seen from the figure, in a state where the pressure contact force F of the transport driven roller 19b is constant, as the rotational resistance applied to the transport drive roller 19a is increased, the rotational force and kicking at the outer periphery of the transport drive roller 19a are increased. The amount drops. Further, the rotational force and kicking amount at the outer peripheral portion of the transport drive roller 19a are greater when the difference as described above is provided in the pressure contact force F of the transport driven roller 19b than when the difference is not provided in the pressure contact force F. Is understood to decrease. In particular, when printing on a small sheet P1 having a width dimension B of about 90 mm, the conveyance is equivalent to the value of the horizontal solid line without the mark indicating that the automatic low-speed switching control means 31 is activated. In this case, even if the operation of the automatic low speed switching control means 31 is stopped, the automatic low speed switching control means 31 is operated. It can be seen that an effect equivalent to that of the case is exhibited.

[Other embodiments]
The pressure contact force adjusting mechanism 1 for the transport driven roller and the recording apparatus 100 including the pressure driven force adjusting mechanism 1 for the transport driven roller according to the present invention are basically configured as described above. Of course, it is possible to change or omit the partial configuration without departing from the gist of the present invention. For example, only one conveying drive roller 19a is held with respect to one roller holder 18, and each roller holder 18 is configured to individually apply a pressing force F by a torsion coil spring 30 provided individually. Is also possible. And when such a structure is employ | adopted, the finer adjustment of the press-contact force F is attained. Further, the pressing force application means is not limited to the torsion coil spring 30, and various means such as a plate spring, a compression coil spring, a rubber-like elastic body, and an air damper can be employed.

Further, when applied to the ink jet printer 100 using a feeding cassette or the like for positioning the paper P at the center, a reference position O is taken at the center as shown in FIG. It is possible to apply the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism 1 of the driven roller for conveyance which takes Q. The conveying driven roller pressure adjusting mechanism 1 shown in FIG. 9 determines the distance R between the left and right switching positions Q as the width B of the reference size paper P, and the conveying driven rollers existing between the left and right switching positions Q. The pressure contact force F of 19b is a small pressure contact force F2, and the pressure contact force F of the transport driven roller 19b existing outside the left and right switching position Q is a large pressure contact force F1. Therefore, the distance S from the reference position O to the switching position Q is half of the distance R between the left and right switching positions Q. And even when the pressure contact force adjusting mechanism 1 of the conveying driven roller having such a configuration is adopted, the same effect as the above-described embodiment is exhibited, and the force acting on the paper P becomes symmetrical. It is possible to cope with the inclination (skew) of the paper P in the middle of conveyance.
